My husband ordered the fisherman's pendant light from this company. He has been away with the military and I had to wait for our electrician to come and fit the light. The electrician said there seemed to be a part missing/missed off the top on manufacture( finisher) on the top end of the cable. On contacting the company they refused a refund as they said that all parts were there. Absolutely poorly manufactured and very poor customer service. Do not reccomend this company at all.

Good range of fittings at a good price. Order received and acknowledged promptly, goods dispatched via courier and received in good condition, no issues, would use again.

Ordered an unusual light fitting. It turned out not available due to supplier to store sending it to them broken in transit. Have been kept in contact with full information by email at every turn, concluding with being offered a choice of another 2 similar light fittings. Picked one, they sent it pronto, and even sent me the balance (as new one cheaper effort than original). I have to say the service was exceptional, and I have never in my life (I'm 79) had a large parcel so perfectly packed as my new light fitting. Well done all departments and no hesitation shopping here again. (Noticed other poor reviews - they must've hired some new staff or something!)

Bought wall lights at a very competitive price
When I requested a replacement shade, Dave of customer service went to lengths to contact the supplier and promptly ordered one for me.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying. They "hoped to exceed my expectations" or so it said in their purchase confirmation. Then the excuses started and kept on coming as to why an item they claimed to have in stock was being delayed. My expectations would have to be at rock bottom to be exceeded by TLS My suggestion, buy elsewhere, a total shambles. 2* because at least they are polite as well as incompetent.

Inaccurate description of lights on the website and, pre-purchase, when chatting on the phone for information on the lights, they failed to mention the type of switching, which is vital for a bathroom light in a bathroom already wired. I am an ordinary domestic customer and was seeking expert advice. When I explained my error, after showing the electrician the expensive light I'd bought, the Lighting Superstore refused to refund as I was a couple of days outside their refund period of 14 days. My credit card company thought this was unreasonable too.

Lovely lights, delivered very quickly. What sets them apart is that they have great customer service- a real person who knows what they are talking about will answer the phone and help you!

Excellent customer service by both telephone and email from my bedroom LED lighting kit. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from these people again.

I bought a light that turned out to small for where I WANTED IT TO HANG. lOVELY QUALITY AND GOOD PRICE. No quibble refund. Sadly they didnt have a bigger one but I would not hesitate to use this company again. Thank you Brian Paradise.

Ceiling light was poorly packaged when i received it. I asked to return it as it had non-replaceable LED's (which is stupid), and was told I couldn't because I did not have the product box. I informed them over and over that the product box was missing and that there was just an outer cardboard box, but they basically called me a liar and refused a full refund. They stile £18 from me to "replace the packaging" They are not to be trusted.

I purchased a Tilo dining room light which came securely wrapped with no external damage. Having been satisfied with the quality I then installed the lights leaving the internal parts still covered in protective bubble wrap. Only following installation did I notice the internal bulb holders were damaged. I raised this with the company who advised that every single part of the lights should have been checked before installation and have rejected any claims. Whilst I agree they are completely within their rights, I would advise any customers to check every single component.

I ordered from these guys recently after a suggestion from a friend, and I’m glad I did! I found they had exactly what I wanted and after getting some technical advice from them about dimming LEDs, I placed an order which was delivered exactly when they said it would be. After having the products fitted I realised I had over-ordered and asked about returning the extras, I was told I was within timescale and a return email was sent to me straight away, the process couldn’t have been easier. I will definitely use them again!

*Be careful*....will not be flexible with returns if you are not within the 14 days ! I was outside the 14 dates due to a medical emergency and they refused the return or exchange and the reason they gave was "the item is not a big seller and will just remain in stock if we took it back..." this was despite the fact that I had ordered around £400 of products. They were quick enough to take my money but my experience was that's where they stop caring about the customer experience. Poor form guys !!!!

Bought a light which said in stock - several days later they go back and first said 4 weeks and then 8 weeks delay - when you check, there is tiny small print saying the option i chose was out of stock, but very unclear - so they take your money and take weeks and weeks to deliver - i would avoid - time wasters

Just ordered my bathroom light from this company. Lovely correspondence and the item was delivered by FedEx less than 24hrs after my order was made. Very happy with the product and service.

Purchased two external lantern style lights and was told it would be delivered on a certain day, the job was time-sensitive. Chased via email two days before arrival to confirm, then called on the day of their supposed arrival, only to be told it'll be another ten days?! Waste of time and energy. Lighting Superstore is just an e-commerce website and failed at every hurdle in managing their suppliers. Theyve left me with an unhappy customer.

Possibly the best customer service I've ever received.
Excellent contact from Brian about the status of my order (they ordered it in specially for me and even swopped when they realised I'd selected the wrong colour option) including a follow up email to check everything was okay. There was a slight dent so he ordered a new one to be delivered and the old one picked up. Fully recommend and I will 100% use them again.

Ordered a light in March and had to return it. Great communication and speed on the original shipment and on the returns process was very easy.

I had an additional conversation with them this month on a related subject and again had excellent communication from them.

We bought a Hahn LED mother & child floor lamp in February 2020. The main (upper) LED failed after six months. The bulb is not replaceable. The retailer wanted us to return the whole thing (not unreasonably) in order to test it and then, if faulty, they would replace it. It is over six feet high and somewhat fragile. We would have had to take it apart and pack it securely. They said a courier would not accept it otherwise. The original assembly was challenging for me. I didn't keep the special allen key, the assembly instructions or the original packaging. I decided to take it to metals recycling and buy a better replacement in John Lewis, which is what I should have done the first time. The moral is: don't buy online a self-assembly product that is an awkward shape, has parts that may fail, and where the retailer isn't based in your own county.

Awful service. We purchased a product on 7 August. We had an email from FedEx on 10 August telling us the parcel would be delivered on that day. We were out that afternoon so missed a delivery even though we said it can be left with neighbor.

There were no further texts or emails from any delivery company. Next thing we know the lighting Superstore said that we had missed two deliveries and wanted to rearrange delivery otherwise we may incur charges. We said we would be in on the following Friday and took the day off work but at 3 in the afternoon on that day they emailed us saying the package had come back and they nowand wanted to charge us £18 to have it re-delivered.

If you want an absolute nightmare to get the most simplest product then be prepared to be a messed about by this company who would be quite happy for you to take a full day off having told them and then they email you on that day to tell you it’s not happening. How incompetent would you have to be as a company to let that happen? When you contact then you just passed around to Brian Adrian Paul etc tell you one thing (rearrange delivery) and then the complete opposite (parcel has come back) because they can’t even track and mange their own parcels !! These guys are a complete joke !
