Waste of money!!!
Waste of money!!!
Irvine Gym closed for refurb- bought a day pass, gym group were happy to take a payment. But no warning of any refurb taking place. I drove 45 minutes to find a shoddy hand written note on the window.
I then bought another day pass for kilmarnock, again payment was taken. I arrived at 7:30am to find another sign saying gym closed for refurb at 8am. ( you couldn’t write it)
I then sent messages and emails to the gym group with zero responses requesting refunds. (Good luck)
Why choose to refurb a gym throughout peak hours? Surely this would have been better for the public to carry out in unsociable hours! And why choose the same day to refurb both gyms together.
Disgrace!
Find your self a pure gym or even better a local independent gym.

Joined the gym a month ago. From the word go gym is very relaxed.
Haven’t done classes for years but love the fact that the PT’s take the classes.
Pushed to my limit but at the same time you are treated individually!!

I love the gym group because I have…
I love the gym group because I have access to work out 24-7. I work a 4 on 4 off pattern of 12 hour shifts which make it difficult for me to be consistent with my work outs and my classes. I have found the gym group fits in to my busy schedule and even if I can't get a class at my local gym I can use another gym group close by either on my way to work or on my way home. The P.Ts are always happy to help and are easily found online with any questions you may have.

random cancellation
have been going to the gym for about 5 months now and just received an email about my membership being cancelled for “unacceptable behaviour” with no further explanation.

The student membership
The student membership is complete crap..
For my location it's £126 for 6 months.. Not 9 like they used to advertise. This is practically the same monthy price as the regular fee. Plus.. You have to pay the full £126 quid, it's not monthly. Student discounts exist because they are at a disadvantage with money.. There are many that can't afford to pay £126 up front. All in all its practicallly a deterrent for students.

First impressions
I’ve been using this facility for a couple of months, I moved from another local Gym.
I have experienced no issues with access and although sometimes busy, with a little adjustment to my routine I get by easily.
On occasion normal Gymnasium protocol gets loose. Tidying up weights and clean down of equipment. ( this has been the norm for years and not Covid related). The irritating use of mobile phones for other than music purposes often raises its head as does personal belongings in the workout areas.
For me it represents a value for money option in my local area .

Loads of Gym closures/no refund options
Irvine gym seems to have many closures. With this being a fairly new gym why is this happening? There Should be options to have a refund instead of offering a gym in a different town. Ayr and Kilmarnock aren’t exactly the closest by and need to use up petrol. (Which isn’t exactly cheap these days) what’s the reason for these closures so often? It’s very off putting for new members as i can’t seem to get into a stable routine.

Gym closed yet again !!!
Gym closed yet again !!!, place has been open a year and I’ve lost count of the times it’s been closed
Option to use another gym but the whole point of using Irvine was due to its proximity (and not everyone drives)

Good but plenty of room for improvement
I like the 24 hour opening hours and the range of equipment available. What I don’t like is he number of broken lockers and toilets not in use. Plus in Irvine the shower facilities, only 2 working just now, are situated in a toilet as they are for mixed use. No ventilation is inside them, so getting showered and dried off is an extremely uncomfortable experience.
