PATHETIC EXPERIENCE - STAY AWAY
I faced unacceptable experience since signing up with your gym on 14th August.

On the very first day (14th), my PIN did not work, forcing me to leave after wasting both time and fuel. I decided to try again the next day, only to discover that my access was still not functioning. I was then told by your representative to come between 8 AM and 2 PM on Saturday (16th).

Accordingly, I arrived at 12:40 PM on Saturday, only to find that the manager was already leaving at 1 PM — instead of 2 PM as promised. He refused to resolve the issue and instead told me I would need to call the helpline on Monday. This was the third consecutive day that I had wasted time, fuel, and even paid parking, only to be denied entry due to your system failures.

This is disgraceful customer service and a clear case of mismanagement.

There negligence has already cost me enough — do not waste any more of my time.

I bought a membership for a month and couldn’t enter the gym at all even in off peak hours. I attempted multiple times and by the end of the month I still hadn’t been successful so I emailed requesting a refund as I couldn’t even use the gym. Then I cancelled instead as they rejected my refund request. Then, they continued to charge me for the next month despite cancelling, so now I have paid them two months worth of membership while not being allowed entrance. Terrible customer service too.

Unsafe environment. It has a vibe of a rough secondary school.

Not the kind of place for an adult, and I've had a couple of incidents in a small time that are extremely shady.

I've always loved going to a gym, I moved over to Gym Group as I was working in the area.

Sadly, it had one of the worst gym environments I have experienced, by a reasonable margin.

There are groups of young lads who behave as though they own the place. With the real threat of actual violence if you don't bow down what can only be described as ignorant street gangs.

There's also drug use by members, typically cannabis, who then behave paranoid (and in a dangerous way), to the point where you're careful as to where you look.

I cancelled my membership within 2 months of joining.

I'll be spending a little extra on my next gym to ensure a more mature and law abiding environment to train safely.

Avoid this if you do not want to be surrounded by yobs.

I would give minus 5stars if I only could.
Avoid at all cost. Don't waste your money on this place. No proper gym equipment and the one available constantly broken. Kids turned this gym into their playground. But, that's not the worst. Today while I was exercising on one of machines some young guy approached me and started demanding from me to move away and let him use machine. After I've explained to him that I haven't finished he called for his friend and they both started having a go at me and eventually threatening me with physical violence. Mean time manager of this apparently gym just ignored it all and told me to leave and call police outside if I want. I was left with no choice but to call police. Let's not forget that few weeks ago this gym was a crime scene (stabbing). I don't wanna be next .
I've cancelled my membership straight away.
Never ever that I pay again to be treated in such a way with no help from management.

Really good gym equipment, some of which needs maintenance asap.
Disabled toilet upstairs flush hasn't worked for many months, meaning people are unable to flush their waste. (Disgusting) And now there are suddenly 3 big screens that play news propaganda channels around the gym (vile.) We come to the gym to work out, no to see the fake news. I'd understand if it was news about the gym, but it isn't, it's from news channels such as ITV or BBC (gross)

Dirty, poor cleanliness and uncaring staff. Add to this poor customer service and one star is probably one too many.

Gym has been taken over by gangs of lads who hog all the gym benches and intimidate other users . It feels very sinistsr and unsafe . A couple of weeks ago a lad was stabbed there and taken to hospital . Gloucester Quays just isnt somewhere I feel safe anymore , after a time in the evening there isnt even any staff there ,relying on CCTV cameras only but only in communal areas .

Great classess and trainets

I like the location of this gym very much, especially when I practice jogging and watching the river from above. It is a nice and very good place to exercise.

I went to train with my girlfriend a few days and they canceled our membership for " conducting personal training " because I assisted my girlfriend in the gym to avoid any accident. This company is a shame. In other gyms they are happy if other people assist their life partners, or this gym literally asking people to avoid helping each other or training together.

The app doesn’t really work. Issues with signing up and once signed up we had many issues with the bring a friend facility that kept sending out invalid links so we had to pay for a day pass.

The dumbbells need a good clear, the grips has mold growing on them, they need more than just a wipe down I would recommend atleast using a steam cleaner to get it out.

Over all it seems as if the gym has gone down hill since last year.

I have had my member ship for less than an hour before cancelling it this time.

My first gym in gloucester :). Personally I feel the classes are so well designed, previously I had no knowledge of strength training but right from lifting different weights to working across different machines week by week - the Trainers conduct really good classes and help you through if you are stuck . Thanks Team for the good work you are doing :)

The gym is always full and you’d have to wait long to use the machines

Sometimes it's too busy and not everyone is cleaning the equipment

Decent equipment
Good layout in the gym, only ever busy at peak times like after work or school day, so afternoon into early evenings.

needs more than 1 bench press, the squat rack being used as bench up the top doesn’t count, and some heavier dumbbells down the bottom
