Writing with my professional hat on - Senior Investment Manager at an early-stage investment fund in Manchester. We have seen a lot of platforms that promise to link founders and investors over the years. None have been great - primarily because the platform owners have never been investors or founders - so they didn't understand what was important to either side when attempting to match. ThatRound are substantially different - because the owners have been founders and investors - and they are on both sides of the fence currently with this business!
We only work with ThatRound - I encourage any early-stage founder looking to raise at pre-seed to sign up with them.

I really enjoyed working with That Round. They take time to understand your business and drive results

Site is intuitive and easy to use, demonstrates you business in a great light to potential investors (of which there's around 100 baked into the platform, more affiliated with links to apply direct). Screening and application progress is trackable, alongside rejection reasons. Whilst I haven't received any investment offers yet, it does take time, I would recommend ThatRound for and founders looking to expose their business to potential investors.

I'm a first-time founder; I've tried approaching other introduction platforms and the whole process has just felt a bit... inaccessible.

I had a call with Caroline from ThatRound, and if I'm honest, it just took the pressure off: an honest conversation, the right questions. Other platforms have shut me down without taking the time to understand where i'm at on my company's journey.

The questions they raise before approval are exactly the questions I needed to be able to answer. This element is a challenge for all the right reasons, the process itself is transparent and easily understood. Their Partner relationships are impressive and they have enabled me to be introduced into a multitude of parties all wanting to invest in businesses with significant growth ambition and opportunity attached to them. Very impressed with great support throughout the process when required. This is the future way of fund raising am sure.
