Tenpin Birmingham Star City lives inside the Star City leisure complex, just off the M6 and a few minutes from the city centre, Aston and Nechells — easy reach whether you’re driving in or hopping the bus. With 28 bowling lanes and fantastic lane light effects, we’re one of Birmingham’s biggest bowling spots. Plenty of room. Loud music. Pins that won’t know what hit them. And it’s not just bowling. We’ve got two private karaoke rooms (sing like nobody’s watching), Houdini’s Escape Rooms for the problem-solvers, pool, table tennis, air hockey and a full arcade. Hungry? The lady on desk was lovely
The lady on desk was lovely, we had issues with the first,second and was finally moved to a third lane. The lane was still faulty.
Ordered drinks to the table to find out they went to the wrong table as the lane numbers were wrong to the table numbers (with qr codes on)
Was a bit of a nightmare tbh, put a downer on my birthday

It was quite disorganised when we got there. There were 14 of us ans they set up 3 lanes with a 6, a 6 and a 2 which is strange. It was a faff to try and change it. Our particular lane stopped working half way through and all our scores disappeared. It wouldn't allow us to take photos of the players either.
Food wasnt bad but with plenty of notice and a pre order, I would have at least expected it to all come out together. Drinks were weird too. Depending who served you depended on what size glass you got !

rude behaviour
Came in with my friend & paid for table tennis, the lady told us to come back in 15 & didn’t give a receipt. we came back 15 mins later & the white lady who’s a bit chubby was very rude to us. saying we didn’t pay for it even after me showing her my bank account to see the money coming out. after she found out she was wrong & that we did pay the sad women didn’t even apologise for being rude & disrespectful. absolutely horrid she was raising her voice at us in front of other customers too.

Letdown by terrible manager
We had booked 2 games of bowling for our children. But midway through the 2nd game it all turned off. Manager explained we had a specific time limit and that was that. She was very rude, wouldn't listen to us when we asked how we could continue to play. The place was almost empty too .
A Very obnoxious lady.
Another member of staff sympathised with our situation and cheered up our children by giving them a lolly. He was very professional.
It however, spoilt our day out at Star City. We won't return. Hollywood bowl is much better.

Customer service was absolutel shock the staff are very rude and not very welcoming you ask for a service and it takes them half and hour to get what you need the other day was there with my kids around 10ish and they wanted to play the pool table but for some reason it wasn’t taking and coins so I call of the staff it took them half an hour to get to me an sort the issue out.

It was dirty and not a good surface in bowling, we have tried pool table, there was some balls missing, in some table contactless not working and overall I am not satisfied.

Felt the lanes didn’t run well like they were bumpy none of the bowls stayed straight all went off to the left or right I’m not a terrible bowler but not 1 stayed in 3 games, booking was easy location was good half price everything was great
