Renting from Lu2on in Luton has been a great experience.
The view of the flat was made with another agency and they were so hurried with us to get done with the viewing. That was a shame so eventually, we contacted Strawberry Star directly and it got much smoother to the point we didn't feel like just one more customer. We felt important aha.
My partner and I were struggling to find a place because we are both freelancers and most agencies don't accept us without a UK guarantor (which we don't have).
We could tell that the salesperson on the other side was trying his best to get us the flat. He found alternatives and we couldn't ask for a better place.
It is a new, clean and modern flat without being crazy expensive. Is far enough from London to be cheaper and less of a mess, but still close enough to get there in less than half an hour.
We had a problem with our mattress cause it was too soft for my back problems and they quickly arranged a way to replace it with a better and more sturdy one.
The staff at the reception are the best! They are super friendly and always there to keep our parcels, answer some questions we might have, or just have a quick chat.
We are only renting but already have a chat about the possibility of actually buying a property with Lu2on. The development they're planning looks really good and we can't wait to see this place grow.
Taking into comparison our experience with other agencies I would 100% recommend this one.

The whole CRM and concierge team at Lu2on are absolutely fantastic.

Anna is super welcoming, extremely helpful and always goes the extra mile to help you. She also NEVER stops smiling which makes a huge difference. She even brought something for my puppy once to help him which just shows how passionate about her role and how lovely she is. And my puppy absolutely adores her (probably more than he likes me!).

The concierge team are hands down the best concierge team I've ever come across - Monika, Gosia, Eli and James are just fantastic and I always stop by to have a chat. Mike, the building manager, is also awesome and always very quick to answer questions and resolve any issues. They always smile at you, always great you, and always help regardless of time of day or how busy they are.

I've lived here for just over three months and I love it so much I'm looking to buy a property in the same building. The team at Lu2on are the best!!

I love the experience with the Strawberry Star Agency and the company as a whole. I am currently renting one of their new builds in the Luton area and the lady’s at the front desk are very helpful. Anna Sands was so helpful today and she was able to fulfill all of my requirements and went the extra mile to resolve my query.

I have recently purchased an apartment with Strawberry Star and although was a bit concerned at first as I have not heard of them, I was pleasantly surprised. The sales team were great, and once I had moved in the Customer Care team took over. I was particularly impressed with Wendy and Luke. I had a few snags and they dealt with them in the first week and even offered some tradesmen to assist with my moving my furniture around. Would definitely recommend.

Wendy at Strawberry Star has been incredibly helpful in our property, resolving issues that had been outstanding for months in the space of 4 days. Also very helpful on email and lovely in person :)

Strawberry Star Group Simply gave the best experience in terms of handling our Letting and I must say, Mr Jack Singh really helped in the process and did is absolute best by giving 100 percent attention to very details without missing any steps, also he’s a good negotiator as well… Having not met us and did go extra length is a big opportunity….

So far my experience has been extremely positive. Jack Singh spent considerable time helping us rent a property answering multiple queries we had and going to some lengths to help, which I felt was very kind and understanding of him. Once we agreed to rent he handed over to Valentina and she has been very responsive and helpful which has been very appreciated.

Viewed a few flats in Hoola, all seemed very promising considering the agent was super keen to get me in for viewings the same day. When I arrived in the evening they were quick to boast that there has been over 30 viewings today and a lot of offers already. Unfortunately they were caught out by one of the tenants who said I was only the 5th person to view (red flag). Anyway, regardless of this I stupidly put in an offer, to which never heard anything back and have since been completely ignored.
Not one to leave reviews for anything but overall this has been a very disappointing experience. Moral of the story these guys aren't trustworthy or professional and I would avoid at all costs!

Great sales process..but it all ended there. I had a delightful sales experience with SS. My contact was very helpful, proactive, and i felt like she has my interest at heart when helping me buy my property.

Unfortunately, it all ended there. The maintenance and upkeep on my building is absolutely embarrassing from strawberry star. We have seen multiple complaints of emails being ignored, major staff turnaround both inside SS offices and in my building, contractors not being paid (and therefore stopping their services) which has made my 'premium' building dirty, untrustworthy, unsecure, and sometimes dangerous - all due to inproper training and negligence of SS. As residents, we are being forced to take matters into our own hands.

For my next property purchase, I will actively avoid anything affiliated with strawberry star - and suggest anyone else does too.

Anna and Wendy in the CRM team couldn't be any more helpful! They are so quick with responding to queries. I raised a small issue and they coordinated the contractors to come round at a time convenient to me. They're always smiling and I know I can rely on them to assist whenever needed. Thanks both!

Bought a flat through Strawberry Star. My agent was Gurveer Kaur. She was incredibly helpful, recommended the right solicitors and ensured my purchase was successful and went smoothly.

The CRM/concierge team at LU2ON have been fab.

Excellent service by the management.

Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 I need relocate and leave this lovely place. The 24/7 concierge team is really helpful, especially Mario Tiago and Ali. The communal areas are kept very clean and tidy. Well taken care of from day one till the last day.
There is a small gym, a lounge and a playground which is nice to have.
In front of the west tower there is a beautiful reflective pool with a lot of fishes.
Great location, near to the London City Airport and the DLR station. There is a Tesco and a Morrisons really close so it is very convenient
I definitely would recommend living here.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. INGA is very disrespectful and can not handle clients well. I have been living in a two bedroom apartment in hoola for a few months now. I asked to view a one bedroom to downsize as I am alone staying in a two bedroom space. The viewing was rushed and Jack did not take any personal details. He said that he was very busy and would call me to give me more details. After the viewing I called to chase up the progress and was told that I am "not suitable" Despite them not running any background checks or knowing that I already live here. Upon my next phone call I asked why I am not "suitable" as they had not run any background checks and was told that I do not "look like" a suitable resident. I was so shocked and immediately knew what they meant by that. I told them that I already live in the building to which they were shocked. They then told me that my number would be blocked. I would not advise any new client to waste their time with these rude and judgemental lettings agents.

Pro active staff and team. Well taken care of from day one till the last day. Kudos!

AVOID STRAWBERRY STAR AT ALL COSTS.

Strawberry Star has been failing for years, and although we are paying them £186,000 a year for their 'management' of this development as well as the £600,000+ staff wages and about £20,000 in 'security', those who are making the decisions in the background are clearly not providing a service which in any way validates those costs. We are all clearly being ripped off by SS right now. Both leaseholders and tenants.

In terms of the latest situation with COVID-19 at Hoola London, Strawberry Star removed ALL concierge staff and security from the buildings, to 'help' limit the spread of the disease. Other developments in the area still provided residents a limited concierge service, but ours had been completely suspended. SS have failed to implement stringent safety measures to protect those living here on this site. There wasn't any member of the concierge team on the premises to collect parcels, creating a vastly inefficient and incompetent parcel delivery service. Parcels were not left by the residents' door, they were lying on the floor in the main entrance, some were even delivered to the wrong buildings. Parcels were also being ripped open and stolen.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, SS should have switched their focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of its residents. Hand sanitizer stations have been placed at elevator landings and key areas around the property. Yes, people may be wearing gloves to take out their rubbish, but everything you touch with those gloves then spreads to everything else you touch. Gloves must be removed immediately and discarded in a waste bin after the activity, then hands must be with an alcohol-based hand rub. It prevents people from contaminating services like door handles and elevator buttons. But this simple and cost effective measures wouldn't have made a difference, as unauthorised people were gaining access to the building by simply pushing the door open during the day and night. A homeless man was spotted and sleeping on the sofa inside the East Tower. SS had order their cleaning staff to to move him on. Since they have removed all staff, they could have easily got a member of the concierge team or even better the Building Manager, who seems to do absolutely nothing these days, to approach the homeless man and offer him advice and support.

With all the CCTV cameras scattered around the development, quite frankly it is clear that Strawberry Star are not adhering to their responsibilities of managing this development in a reasonable way.

Over the past year:
- Lit cigarette ends being tossed onto other balconies, affecting the health of neighbours.
- Illegal sub-letting of apartments (like Airbnb).
- Barbecues being had on balconies ( I wonder who is liable legally, should there be deaths from a fire caused by a BBQ, when there was no action taken by building management?).
- Thieves stealing personal possessions belonging to residents bicycles + deliveries.
- Thieves leaving stolen property on the development (such as supermarket trolleys)
- Vagrancy in the East Tower lobby.
- A fire in the bins outside West Tower.
- Residents not disposing their rubbish in the manner and randomly dumping it in and around the premises.
- The entire area, including the roundabout and DLR footbridge was covered in mainly recycling waste from Hoola.

Given it's a global pandemic - I would have expected more to protect the residents. I suggest Strawberry Star to stop looking at their P&L and rubbing their hands together at the government furlough scheme, and mobilise staff to ensure the health, well-being and security that the firm houses in their estate.

Word of advice. Don't live here. It's revolting. They simply don't care.
