⭐ Disappointing experience at Spudsbro, Rochdale

Really disappointed with my experience at Spudsbro in Rochdale. The food was bland and lacked flavour, which was a let-down in itself. To make matters worse, they had run out of beans and advised me it would only be a 5-minute wait.

My food had already been prepared and was left sitting on the side getting cold while I waited for the beans. Surely, if an item is unavailable, customers should be informed before their food is prepared, rather than being left waiting while their meal goes cold.

The whole experience was frustrating, and the quality of the food and service was not what I expected. Unfortunately, I wouldn't rush back after this experience. I hope they take this feedback on board and improve both their food quality and customer service.

I went to their store in Huyton (Beacon 62) when they opened and I was welcomed with a disgusting customer service from most of their employees. There was only one member who seems a bit older, who genuinely seemed to be happy to be there. Their employees looked down on me and on my partner. There was this girl, wearing a red hat, blonde hair, named Ella I believe…she was the rudest of them all! And to my greatest disbelief, the spud wasn’t nice at all. Cold and small. For the price of it, it’s not worth it.

Staff stood around doing nothing at Swindon store. Ice cream scoop of tuna was rediculous for one and half potatoes . Staff are too young , too slow and the food was nothing spectacular. No thanks

I visited Spud Bros Express in Doncaster yesterday at around 1pm and had the garlic chilli chicken with tram sauce. Although it tasted nice at the time, by 5pm I was suffering from severe stomach pain and diarrhoea, which continued throughout the night and repeatedly woke me up.

I can’t say for certain that the food was the cause, but the timing was concerning, and I’ve been left feeling absolutely horrendous. What started as an enjoyable meal turned into a really miserable experience. I hope the food preparation and hygiene standards are looked into.

Went to the SpudBros recently opened at Tyseley Services Birmingham. The order was completely messed up because they were too busy talking. They assumed the had given to salt and pepper Chicken ones. Instead I got one and the other two standard beans and cheese on it. I paid for 2 chickens and the girl serving was too busy talking to someone from across popeyes who works with her sister. Not realising shes holding my food and I have paid! The service is what put me off! Put me off !

First time I visited spud bros today at Bicton heath Shrewsbury…. Not worth the money tiny potatoes and less than lukewarm not a good eat…..will not be going back there!!!!

Disappointed, ordered a spud this afternoon from Blackburn usually ok. First of all we got there and the women behind the counter was on the phone just staring at us, one of the other staff then served us during preparing the spuds dropped something on the floor twice picked it to put in the bin and with the same gloves kept touching our food. Let it slide got back to eat the spuds and 1 of them has something in it that neither of us can say what it is but shouldn’t be in there. Waste of £20

Queued for over 1 hour at what is termed Spudbros Express. Food was awful, overcooked cold potato with very little flavour. What was even worse was that people behind me in the queue who had waited for 40 minutes plus were informed by the Manager that they would not be served as the store needed to shut at 8pm. It is unacceptable to notify customers at 7.55 that they are not going to be served especially when they are in the shop and have waited ages for service. Absolutely atrocious experience.

I visited the Birmingham branch with high expectations, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
Firstly, the queues were extremely long and didn’t seem to be getting any shorter. When I was finally served, I ordered the tuna and coleslaw baked potato, which cost £9. They managed to get the tuna, but then told me they didn’t have any coleslaw. I waited for around 10 minutes, but there was still no coleslaw, so I eventually decided to leave with less than what I had paid for.
What disappointed me further was the lack of any apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. I was left feeling that I had paid a lot of money for something that wasn’t what I had ordered.
As for the food itself, the baked potato was very dry and the tuna tasted processed rather than fresh or gourmet, as I had been led to expect. In fact, I would go as far as saying it was one of the worst baked potatoes I’ve had. I’ve had much better potatoes elsewhere for considerably less money.
Overall, I really couldn’t justify the £9 cost for what I received. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend it and I definitely won’t be a repeat customer. The owners really need to read and fix these issues otherswise they won’t have a business!

Doncaster store Staff rude and too busy talking on their phones to serve customers, potato cold and hard

One of the staff standing right outside the main doors vapeing away and rubbing his hands through his hair every 2 mins I wonder did he wash his hands when he went back behind the counter

Didn’t even end up ordering as the staff (three women) were too busy taking and on their mobile phones to even acknowledge me for the first few minutes. Then they claimed to be ‘wiping down’. I waited longer, yet they still didn’t take my order. Left and ate somewhere else.

Whilst the portion is large, the potato was too oily (way too much butter) and the skin was soggy, threw it away

Not nice, thought it would be different it was a wet potatoe with a weird taste. Never returning thanks. Dont know whats the hype about. Overpriced!!!

The staff do not seem interested in serving customers. I waited for over an hour, even though there were only five people ahead of me. Suddenly, we were told that they would not serve any more customers because they needed to clean.

After around 15 minutes of cleaning and taking out the rubbish, the lady did not change her gloves after finishing the cleaning. She only changed them after I pointed it out to her.

I do not recommend this place. Very poor service and a lack of professionalism.

Serving only non-stun halal meat, while prominently displaying British flags, feels completely at odds with the animal welfare standards many people in the UK have supported for decades.

In my opinion, this is misleading because many customers may assume the branding reflects the sourcing and welfare standards they expect. I also don’t agree with the ethics behind the decision, and the prices certainly don’t help.

As a result, neither I nor my family will be spending our money there.

Awful! Sloppy mess of chillies chicken with no rattan. The potato seemed steamed and soggy, with no crispy skin.

Overall, £10 wasted, as most of it went in the bin.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Spud Bros. The potato fillings were barely there, and for the price, it felt incredibly poor value for money. I bought six potatoes for my family, costing £60 in total, which is far too expensive considering how little filling we received.
The service was also far too slow, and the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. For such a high price, I expected much better quality and service.
Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing and dissatisfying visit. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend Spud Bros to others.
