Great for beginners who would like to learn coding at anytime and anywhere

The many options to improve, practice, and freshen allows a comfortable experience.

For me I got started early on and now I'm doing a lot more in the industry. However, when I have time mainly when I'm on the move and I have something particular in my mind whether if it's about Python, Java, or html. I'll look into these areas.
The application is so handy, I can't wait to see the VR & AR versions come into play. In my opinion, the gamification of programming languages gives a better sense of structure.

I had a bug on on my phone that some visualisations didn't work. Contacted support and next day got the software update released on Play Store with the bugfix. Spectacular support!

Sololearn made my web Development journey smooth by breaking a large course down into actionable bitesize steps. If you're not sure about a question or an answer, check the 'comments' sections to gain more insight into the "whys" and "hows". Fast-forward 1 year later, I'm now an Enterprise Architect, two levels above a Principal Developer. Everything is easy nowadays especially with the new insights to bridge the gap between our understanding. Sololearn is geared towards children, so don't be intimidated because it's just like a game.

This thing got me into programming. I'm a developer ever since I used it in 2017.

Subject: Urgent: Subscription Cancellation and Refund Request (103671)

Dear SoloLearn Support Team,

I subscribed to SoloLearn for my daughter, who used it for some time but eventually lost interest. On 29th January, she informed me that she received an email regarding a charge of $52.49, which was submitted for settlement.

Upon receiving this notification, I immediately cancelled the subscription and contacted the SoloLearn team to request both the cancellation of the account and a refund. However, after four days, I received a response from Nané (SoloLearn), which only included hyperlinks outlining the cancellation process—something I had already completed.

My request ID is 103671, but I have yet to receive confirmation regarding the refund. Given that I acted promptly, I expect the refund to be processed without unnecessary delays. As a reputable company, SoloLearn should either refund the full amount or, at most, charge for one additional month.

Please provide an update on the status of my refund at the earliest.

Ich bin erst seit ein paar Wochen dabei aber wenn man fleißig jeden Tag dranbleibt, auch nur für ein paar Minuten, bringt das Programm was. Bislang kann ich nur positive Dinge sagen. Bei mir hat bislang alles funktioniert. Als Programmier-Anfänger habe ich schon nach kurzer Zeit ein Verständnis dafür entwickelt, wie Programme funktionieren und worauf zu achten ist. Ich werde weiter am Ball bleiben, mal sehen wohin mich das Erlernte hinführt. Bislang kann ich das Programm nur empfehlen. Der Jahresbeitrag ist auch absolut in Ordnung. Sagen wir mal so... für Netflix und Co. zahlst du deutlich mehr, nur hier bekommt man ein Werkzeug an die Hand, mit dem man für die Zukunft arbeiten kann.

It appears that SoloLearn is in violation of the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA) (15 U.S.C. §§ 8401-8405), which is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

I was offered a free trial in the app, but when I accepted, I was instead immediately charged $76.60, without any warning, and without my consent.

ROSCA prohibits post-transaction third-party sellers from charging a consumer’s account without clear disclosure of all material terms and obtaining express informed consent.

In my case, I did not provide express informed consent for a charge of $76.60 USD. SoloLearn offered a free trial but did not disclose that:
• My account would be charged immediately upon accepting the free trial.
• An account that previously used a free trial (no matter how many years ago) would be ineligible, leading to automatic charges without warning.

I have contacted both SoloLearn and Apple Support, but neither resolved the issue. SoloLearn’s response indicates their reliance on Apple for refunds but does not address the lack of adequate disclosure required under ROSCA. Apple Support did not provide a reason for their inability to process a refund.

I have now filed an official complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for further investigation.

•Illegal transaction date: Nov. 6, 2024
• Apple refund denials: Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, 2024
• SoloLearn response: Nov. 15, 2024

I love this app for learning to code on the fly (on your phone) or at home (on your computer, web version) on a daily basis. I've gotten most of the certificates for basic coding, now I will be moving onto intermediate levels!
