I just purchased a Singer wine cooler paying almost Rs 80,000/- but thoroughly disappointed with it. One of my friend friends who is using Ignis cooler bought from Abans is very satisfied with Ignis brand. Singer unit is very noisy. No on/off lamp switch. Size is smaller than Ignis. Abans brand is only just Rs 6000/- more. Folks, do-not buy Singer brand. It is a total cheat!!

Dell laptops of poor quality
I'm not recommending to buy laptops from Singer Sri Lanka. Both my laptops were defective at the time of purchase and the second one that they gave me replacing the defective one is also defective. Both had keyboard issues. Eventhough DELL is an international brand warranty is not international. I'm in a big trouble now.

I'm extremely disappointed with the Haputale Singer customer service; they provided shockingly poor service to us. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, making our experience frustrating and unpleasant. In stark contrast, I recently visited the Diyatalawa Singer outlet, and the staff were excellent - friendly, attentive, and helpful. Please look into this and take necessary steps to improve the service at the Haputale outlet.

Customer service was the worst
Customer service was the worst. I gave my laptop to them, one technician said it has an SSD issue observing the blue screen message and asked permission for formatting the SSD. Since I have some important data on my laptop ask them to give me my SSD for backup, and are I asked to test with their testing SSD. It has been 5 days, and I haven't got any updates. They gave a contact which is for common customers even though nobody attended the call 0117572400. The assigned person did not reply or answer the call which was mentioned in their singer care app. I was frustrated and went there and asked, but they said they need one more week. I was frustrated & decided to take back my laptop, and they gave another Whatsapp number in case of enquiry, even though that contact also did not reply.
The reason they said for not testing or repairing is they don't have any spare SSD & using HDD to check the system took them days !
I can accept that testing may take time, but its good to update. Because no work can be done without a laptop especially if you are a techi guy & have to get all the blame from the office & setting up another laptop is a headache.
FYP : For all of these situations I talked calm & polite, But I would say this is the worst customer service ever. Not expected from singer.

I never recommend to do Solar Installation to home by Singer. Cost is high and service is very poor. Even the Installation done by third party. After taking the money no updates about the progress. 40 years of trust has demolished due to this while we were outside country. This happend to me from Kurunegala branch.
No courtesy to check the customer problems after complaining

I am writing to express my disappointment with the after-sales service for my refrigerator, which I purchased from Singer Godagama less than 7 months ago. The appliance has stopped working, and despite lodging a complaint over a week ago, I have yet to receive a satisfactory response.
A technician visited after a delay of one week and diagnosed an issue with the fan, assuring me that it would be resolved. However, it's been over a week since then, and I haven't received any follow-up calls or updates. The lack of courtesy and follow-through with customers is unacceptable.
I urge you to prioritize resolving this issue immediately. I expect better service, especially considering the product's warranty. I request that you expedite the repair or replace the refrigerator if necessary.

Bought a glass door fridge from the Thurston rd Singer. After 3 weeks it stopped working when I complained they said that I have to wait till they come to my area for them to attend to it. All the food in the fridge was wasted. I am still waiting. Don’t buy anything from them. When you are buying they are very attentive but no after sales service.

My experience has been nothing short of frustrating. It all started with my first service request on May 27, 2025 (Ref No: WO25052715566337), where my location was incorrectly recorded. It took multiple calls just to correct the address and raised another complaint on June 5, 2025 (Ref No: WO25060516088335), get the technician to visit.
the repair didn’t even last a day.
since then, I’ve had to call the technician three times. Each time, I was assured that he will visit “soon.” It’s now been over four days, and no one has shown up .What’s worse is that these issues started just after the warranty expired — a clear sign of poor product quality and complete lack of proper after-sales support.
Absolutely unacceptable from a brand like Singer. I expected far better. This experience has completely eroded my trust in the company.

Unacceptable Service & Unfair Treatment
Terrible experience with Singer Customer Service. I placed a Purifier water and paid 26.000 rupees on January 9th, but the delivery was already delayed beyond the promised timeframe—I only received it on January 17th. Then, I requested a return on January 18th because the product did not produce clean water, and they approved my request. They assured me that someone would collect the package before January 25th.
Now, long past the deadline, despite multiple follow-up emails, they keep making empty promises but take no action.
What’s worse, I can’t help but feel that I’m being treated unfairly just because I am a foreign customer. They have been holding my money for far too long without resolving the issue, while continuously ignoring my repeated requests. This level of service is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
I strongly advise anyone—especially international customers—to avoid this company. If you value your time and money, do not buy from them!

. I purchased a Singer A/C in April 2024 from Kandy and they promised free services once in every three months for one year. I was given a telephone number of a technician to contact and get the service done. My God I gave him more than 8 calls but the fellow never responded. I called the Singer head office and singer service centre in Pilimathalava without success. That is how they treat customers
