Ciao Nadia, ci dispiace leggere la tua recensione e vorremmo chiarire alcuni aspetti relativi a quanto accaduto. Il nostro personale ti ha illustrato le coperture assicurative disponibili, spiegandone caratteristiche e costi, ma non sei stata obbligata ad acquistare alcuna copertura, tanto che hai scelto di non sottoscriverle. Questo dimostra che si trattava di opzioni aggiuntive e non di costi obbligatori o nascosti. Per quanto riguarda invece la gestione della cauzione, abbiamo cercato concretamente di venirti incontro: la tua carta non era inizialmente abilitata a garantire l’importo della cauzione richiesta e, nonostante i tentativi di contattare la tua banca per aumentare il plafond non avessero avuto esito positivo, abbiamo ridotto l’importo della cauzione applicando la riduzione del 50%, permettendoti così di poter comunque proseguire con il noleggio. Riteniamo quindi che, in questa circostanza, il nostro personale abbia cercato di trovare una soluzione alle tue esigenze, illustrandoti con trasparenza le opzioni disponibili e senza imporre costi aggiuntivi non richiesti.

(Catania Aeroporto) Appena lasciata l'auto, al mio rilasciarla ho provveduto ad avvisare la mancante parte di benzina, nonostante dal benzinaio avessi messo il pieno. Ebbene, il sistema digitale dell'auto non si era aggiornato restando con la mezza tacca mancante. In reception ho avvisato della parte mancante e mi è stato detto che mi sarebbe stato addebitato soltanto il costo della benzina di circa €5,00. Dopo un'ora sono stati addebitati €37,00. Ho richiamato più volte e non hanno risposto. Peraltro nelle condizioni generali il quantum della penale non è specificato. Truffatori

Il veicolo ti è stato consegnato con il serbatoio pieno e, al momento della riconsegna, è stato riscontrato un livello di carburante inferiore rispetto a quello di consegna. Per questo motivo, come chiaramente previsto dalle nostre Condizioni Generali di Noleggio e riportato anche nel contratto sottoscritto al momento del ritiro del veicolo, in caso di riconsegna senza il pieno vengono addebitati sia il costo del carburante mancante sia un contributo amministrativo di €25,00. Tali condizioni sono indicate in modo trasparente e sono consultabili prima della conclusione del noleggio, così che ogni cliente ne sia pienamente informato.

We rented a car from this company for 5days. We returned the vehicle without any accident or incident, and no damage was mentioned when we handed the car back.
After we had already left Italy, they charged us for an alleged hole in a tyre that we absolutely did not cause.
We have photographs taken at the time of return showing the condition of the vehicle, yet the company simply ignored them. Instead of providing objective evidence, they repeatedly sent generic responses claiming that their staff had documented the damage, without supplying any proof that the damage existed when we returned the vehicle or that it was actually caused during our rental.
If you are asked to pay for damage after leaving the country, be extremely cautious. As a customer, you have almost no opportunity to verify what happened after you returned the vehicle.
Our experience has been extremely disappointing. We will report the case to the European Consumer Centre and the relevant consumer protection authorities, and we strongly advise anyone renting from this company to take detailed photos and videos of the entire vehicle, especially the tyres, before and after the rental.
Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.

Our staff contacted you promptly regarding the damage identified and, during the communication, you confirmed that you were aware of the issue. During the inspection carried out at the time of vehicle delivery, the tyre did not show any issues. Furthermore, throughout the 6-day rental period, we did not receive any notification regarding any problems with the tyre. Since Premium Protection was not included in your rental agreement, the cost related to the damage found on the tyre remains the responsibility of the customer, as provided in the Terms and Conditions accepted at the time of rental.

Non si è trattato di un ritardo di 30 minuti, bensì di circa un'ora rispetto all'orario di riconsegna previsto dal contratto. Come espressamente indicato nei nostri Termini e Condizioni, il periodo di tolleranza previsto per la riconsegna è di 30 minuti. Superato tale limite, viene applicato l'addebito di un ulteriore giorno di noleggio, secondo le condizioni contrattuali accettate al momento della prenotazione.
Si tratta quindi di una condizione contrattuale chiaramente indicata e non di un costo nascosto o di un addebito applicato arbitrariamente.

Prenotazione effettuata con Carla Car a 546 € totali (anticipo 25 €). SRC, al momento del ritiro, ha preteso 570,36 € senza dare nessuna spiegazione.
Differenza non motivata e applicata all’ultimo momento. Quando ho contestato, mi hanno scaricato la responsabilità sul broker.
Pratica poco trasparente e scorretta nei confronti del cliente.
Consiglio di verificare bene i prezzi e di stare attenti. Non lo consiglio.

Come già precisato tramite comunicazione email, la prenotazione è stata effettuata tramite un broker esterno. In questi casi, i dati della prenotazione vengono trasmessi automaticamente al nostro sistema sulla base delle informazioni e degli importi comunicati dal broker stesso, che sono quelli applicati al momento del ritiro del veicolo. Qualora l'importo visualizzato in fase di prenotazione sulla piattaforma del broker risultasse differente rispetto a quello comunicato alla nostra società e successivamente applicato, tale eventuale discrepanza sarebbe riconducibile esclusivamente al broker, unico soggetto competente a fornire chiarimenti in merito alla formazione del prezzo e alle condizioni economiche presenti sulla propria piattaforma. Pertanto, l'importo corrisposto al momento del ritiro del veicolo risulta corretto sulla base delle informazioni ricevute dal broker e non è imputabile a SRC Rent Car un eventuale disallineamento rispetto all'importo visualizzato in fase di prenotazione. Come già suggerito, ti invitiamo pertanto a rivolgerti direttamente al broker tramite il quale hai effettuato la prenotazione, affinché possa effettuare le opportune verifiche e valutare eventuali richieste di chiarimento o rimborso.

Very smooth experience throughout, pickup and drop-off were easy and the car was clean and basically new when we rented it. We had an issue with a flat tyre and they were able to resolve it promptly after we contacted them. Would use again!

Ho prenotato il noleggio di una vettura cambio automatico a novembre 2025, per un viaggio di 4 giorni a luglio 2026, tramite sito online. Abbiamo ritirato la vettura presso l'aeroporto di Catania, l'auto era subito disponibile nonostante l'anticipo dell'orario di ritiro. Il personale cordiale, ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie, sia tramite email, che di persona. Anche la riconsegna è stata positiva, ci hanno aiutato dopo aver perso un portafoglio in macchina. Servizio di rent a car super consigliato!

Hidden Fees Made the Rental Twice as Expensive
I do not recommend this car rental company. There were many additional charges, and the final cost was more than twice the original rental price.
I rented the car for €80, but at the beginning I was charged an extra €50 for being only a few minutes late. On top of that, I was charged another €39 simply because I received a traffic ticket.
The additional fees are excessive and make the rental much more expensive than advertised. I would not use this company again.

Regarding the additional amount of €39, we would like to clarify that this refers to the administrative costs for the management and notification of the traffic fine, as provided for in the Rental Terms and Conditions. This information is also clearly stated in the documentation accepted and signed during the booking process. Therefore, these are not hidden costs: all additional services, applicable conditions, and related fees are available and can be consulted on our website before confirming the reservation, in order to ensure maximum transparency for our customers.

I picked up the car at Catania airport and reached Palermo airport in 3.5 hours, stopping only at a gas station. They managed to find three new damages on the car and completely refused to acknowledge the photos I took when picking it up. A disappointing experience and a significant financial loss (468 euros).

The supported is really well after pur arrival at the airport of Catania. Very cheap and helpful, girl named Vanessa. We initially booked with goldcar, never again! Also when our flight was delayed and we e-mailed to bring our car back a bit later, we got a positive and quick feedback via e-mail. The car check went smoothly. We really recommend SRC and book in future with them.

Complete lack of commercial professionalism
I recently rented a car from SRC Rent Car: a brand-new Citroën C3 with only 1,000 km on the odometer.
Just three days after picking it up, the car suffered a major engine failure and had to be stopped immediately.
The roadside assistance service was terrible. I was hung up on three times simply because the operators did not speak English. This is completely unprofessional (I'm not talking about SRC Rent Car's customer service).
Eventually, I managed to reach roadside assistance. I had to pay for the towing because I had not purchased the full insurance package, which I fully accept and have no issue with.
However, it is completely unacceptable that the rental company does not provide a replacement vehicle when the breakdown is clearly their responsibility. They supplied me with a defective car.
Because of the situation, I had no choice but to rent a car from another company, entirely at my own expense.
Even worse, they even charged me for the missing fuel in the car. They refunded the unused rental days more than a month later, and only after I had to follow up multiple times.
I strongly do not recommend this company. Poor English support, unacceptable customer service, and a complete lack of commercial professionalism.

Regarding the recovery service, as you also confirmed, the related costs depend on the roadside assistance coverage included in the rental agreement. We therefore believe that some of the points mentioned in your review do not accurately reflect the assistance provided and the outcome of your case.
