Pessimi. 2 ore di fila al desk di Roma Termini. Nel frattempo ho chiamato diverse volte il servizio clienti. Mi ha risposto un operatore dicendo che lui era solo nella sede centrale e non poteva farci niente. C'era solo un operatore al desk lentissimo. Mai più con loro. Compagnia da evitare

Sicliy By Car at Malta Airport is a scam business. When I returned the car, they reported a dent at a door. A dent that nobody could see. Only their employee. Wanted to charge me €1400 for damages. We refused. After some arguing, the fee went down to €885. We paid because we had a plane to catch. Employee refused to give me his name. DO NOT RENT CARS WITH THEM!!!

I hired from Sicily by car - Malta as that was the firm recommended by easyJet and could be ATOL protected if booked with our flights. I must admit I hadn't seen any of the negative reviews so went with an open mind. It was made clear on the booking paperwork what was required, they do not accept AMEX and require a 2300€ deposit on a credit card which has your full name on it, as well as proof of ID and driving licence. Collecting the car was a bit stressful as they were very busy but everyone was courteous. The car itself was rough, a Fiat Tipo with damage to every panel and the engine warning light on. We were encouraged to take a walk around video before taking the car so we were not held responsible for any prior damage, and talked though the existing damage as it was recorded on the hire sheet. We had the car for a few days and it was adequate, and given the state of the roads on Gozo and the questionable driving habits of the locals I wouldn't have wanted something in mint condition anyway. However the performance of the car was really poor, and some of the hills required a run-up to successfully get to the top so I emailed Sicily by car requesting a replacement vehicle. They emailed back within minutes and said that was no problem just return the vehicle and they would take care of it on arrival. By this stage I'd read some reviews on Trust pilot so was concerned what kind of reception I'd get. I returned the car with a full tank of fuel as this is a condition of hire. When I got there they had a Peugeot 508 waiting, a significant upgrade and did the swap with no hassle whatsoever. Again there was panel damage but the car was fine in every other respect. Again I did a walk around video to record existing damage, this is something I highly recommend you do. We used this car for the remainder of our trip with no problems, and returned it with no issues and no charges for damage which is confirmed in writing at the time of return. I honestly couldn't fault the service, the missing star is due to the condition of the first car, which on reflection was not acceptable. I highly recommended getting your own damage waiver insurance as you are liable for the first 2300€, again this is made clear in the booking paperwork.

SCAM COMPANY
This company will try and charge you €120 when you return the car if you don’t take it away and put it through a car wash. They are situated at the airport and obviously when you arrive, you simply do not have time to do this.
They do not point this out as a requirement when you pick up the car.
I checked at the airport with Hertz and Avis to check if this was a Maltese requirement. They laughed and said they’ve never heard anything like it.
Avoid this company at all costs. Any savings you make with their rates being slightly cheaper will be swallowed up with their scam tactics when you drop the car off.

Meno di una stella non vi si può dare… perché nemmeno quella meritereste.
Arriviamo a Malta dopo aver noleggiato l’auto con un mese di anticipo. Arriviamo e prima di essere accolti passa oltre mezz’ora.
Sembrava filare tutto liscio… ma poi arriva il momento della cauzione, di ben 1800€ che vogliono addebitare prima della consegna del veicolo, con carta di credito, e a meno che tu non richieda espressamente alla banca tale massimale, di default non è attivo su nessuna carta di credito. Non accettano american express, che io possiedo e avrei potuto tranquillamente fornire per tale transazione.
Il tutto per spingerti a fare l’assicurazione con loro (a discapito di qualsiasi altra assicurazione tu già abbia, a un costo più alto del totale noleggio dell’auto, perché ho speso 200€ per noleggiare l’auto e 350 per la loro assicurazione completa), e abbassare la cauzione da 1800€ a 200€.
Una truffa legalizzata che rovina l’esperienza delle ferie dai primi minuti dopo essere atterrati.
Auto (Citroen c3) molto sporca dentro, con sedili macchiati e impolverati, motore debole, che con il clima acceso non andava a più di 79km/h, rumorosissimo il clima e il motore, pessima nel complesso.
Per non parlare del fatto che io ho richiesto il noleggio dal 10/08 al 21/08 e loro hanno insistito che avevo prenotato fino al 22/08, obbligandomi a pagare un giorno in più di noleggio e di assicurazione che non mi servivano. E non hanno voluto sentir ragioni nonostante io avessi in mano la carta del noleggio con le date corrette.
Sconsiglio vivamente.

Poca chiarezza sulle polizze integrative, il costo delle quali ha superato il costo totale del noleggio stesso.
Ritiro sbrigativo e superficiale.
Il deposito viene restituito dopo un mese dalla riconsegna e ti viene detto solo a fine noleggio.
Auto 2 porte anziché 4 come da prenotazione.
Auto molto sporca.
Dopo aver rifiutato un modello cabriolet spiegando che, volendo girate di giorno, a ferragosto, in Sicilia, avremmo sicuramente sofferto il caldo, ci è stata consegnata un'auto con un tettino (non apribile) senza oscurante. C'era solo una tendina retata pressappoco inutile per il sole forte. Ce ne siamo accorti troppo tardi e non avevamo intenzione di perdere altro tempo visto che saremmo rimasti solo un paio di giorni. D'estate muoversi con un'auto del genere è da insolazione. E infatti questo è stato il principale motivo del nostro malcontento.

Oltre 100 mila km. Motore debole. Se utilizzavi l'aria condizionata era impossibile andare oltre gli 80 km orari.

Esperienza pessima.

La vostra dipendente Sonia nel aeroporto di Ibiza è una arrogante assoluta, l’ho sentita parlare malissimo a i clienti in fila, è pure razzista cos i clienti non europei per esempio io. Ho dovuto cancellare la prenotazione per colpa sua perché non volevo avere proprio il suo servizio! Inoltre non ha voglia di parlare neanche in inglese parla solo in italiano.

Fuyez et vite ! Tout simplement des escroc ! Vous arriver avec une carte de crédit on vous dit ces une carte de débit ça passe pas,tout ca pour que vous payer 125 euros de plus . 2 jours plus tard LEUR voiture tombe en panne, allo assistance coup de booster batterie HS bim 195 euros pour 8 minutes d'intervention. On retourne chez sicily by car ah non non ces de notre faute alors que ces LEUR voiture il prenne zéro à charge. Vraiment passer votre chemin si vous tenez à votre argent

Nous ne sommes pas tout satisfaits des services de ce loueur.

Lors de notre arrivée, le loueur nous refuse la carte bancaire car elle ne comporte pas la mention « crédit ». Or, qu’une PLBS (caution) peut être prise sur crédit ou débit.
Cette entreprise impose donc de prendre une assurance complémentaire de 170€. Chose non prévue dans notre budget.

👉 Première voiture, nous faisons quelques mètres et entendons des bruits bizarres sur les roues. Nous constatons qu’il manque des écrous sur chaque roue, et que les autres sont dévissés. Une nouvelle voiture nous est attribuée, sans inquiétude de leur part. « Cela peut arriver ».

👉 Seconde voiture, nous faisons quelques mètres, encore un bruit… Deux pneus à plat. L’agent technique nous gonfle les pneus avec les moyens du bord, avec un tout petit compresseur à allume cigare. Il ne peut pas les gonfler au delà de 1 bar. Nous allons dans une station pour gonfler les pneus.

Quelques jours après, nous ne pouvons plus passer les vitesses, la boîte à vitesses semblait être hors service. Nous appelons l’assistance, qui vient puis repart en nous demandant de ramener la voiture. Seule la première vitesse et troisième fonctionnent. Nous étions à Gozo.

Nous ramenons la voiture à l’aéroport.

À ce moment, le manager sur place nous demande de régler 280€ d’assistance, alors que la voiture n’a ni été remorquée ni réparée. Le manager était très agressif et a même agressé physiquement un ami (il a collé sa tête contre la sienne).
Le manager nous a imposé de régler les 280€ pour avoir une autre voiture, alors que nous avions ramené par nos propres soins la voiture. Qui ne fonctionnait que partiellement.

Sois la pression, je cite « sinon nous vous demanderons de payer la boîte à vitesses et la police vous bloquera au retour, vous ne pourrez pas rentrer en France ».

L’agence demande aussi une caution supplémentaire pour qu’on puisse prendre un autre véhicule.

Au passage, nous croisons d’autres clients avec le même problème, des pannes et des factures à payer pour avoir un autre véhicule.

👉 Troisième véhicule, quelques mètres, plusieurs voyants, les pneus à plats… Usés, nous allons gonfler les pneus dans un garage et poursuivons notre séjour.
Les voyants n’ont fait que s’allumer, la seconde vitesse craque, la marche arrière aussi…

⚠️ Nous nous rendons compte que le loueur aurait dû nous facturer que 50% de la facture du dépannage, alors qu’ils nous int facturé 100%.

⚠️ Nous avons croisé notre véhicule avec la boîte à vitesse « cassée » deux jours après sur Malte, il est probable (et cela n’engage que moi), que la panne ait été partiellement réparée en attente d’une casse client pour de nouveau facturer un « remorquage »…

Je trouve vraiment dommage que cette entreprise puisse encore exercer, cela dégoûte les touristes, nous n’avons pas forcément envie de revenir à cause de cette entreprise qui a pourri notre séjour…

Un conseil, ne réservez pas chez eux. Outre l’état aussi calamiteux de tous leurs véhicules mais surtout pour l’attitude inacceptable d’un manager.

Was a horrible experience! When we were renting the car, 2 other people where in the office complaining on their cars - we want to keep positive and went ahead anyway. They gave us a car with engine failure which we did not know about. The handbrake did not work (we could drive with it up), the gear was faulty and the horn was not working. The battery died while we were driving, not once but 2 times, the second time in the middle of a hill!!!! So we rolled straight backwards. As the off-road assistance was not included in the insurance we were lucky enough to get help from other tourists to fix the car, and that is also when we realised that the battery was completely loose as well. We tried to reach them during the whole week with no answer and no callback whatsoever. Once we left the car at the airport we only got the comment "You should have called off-road assistance, you would not have had to pay for the assistance" Which I highly doubt considering that they said when we rented the car that it will need to be paid for in case something happens. No offer on money back, no apology, nothing! They also only seem to test drive the cars in the parking house. Also at our last stay during this vacation we got hear the Sicily by Car are trouble makers on the island. Only rent if you want to have several heart attacks and an anxious vacation.

Da evitare assolutamente. Esperienza traumatica. I peggiori in assoluto.

Noleggio furgone, dopo 100 km il display mi annuncia lo spegnimento forzato del motore per problemi al consumo dell' ad Blue. Mi fermo in piazzola di sosta, chiamo l' agenzia e mi rispondono di ignorare la cosa e tornare perché ogni tanto succede. Quindi sapevano del difetto, mi hanno noleggiato ugualmente il mezzo senza dirmi nulla del problema e, davanti all' avaria, mi hanno detto di ignorarla e proseguire in autostrada mettendo a rischio la mia incolumità. Esperienza che si è conclusa con un' ora di attesa del carro attrezzi in piena estate, una sosta non voluta in officina e 3 ore perse

Ho prenotato l'auto tramite online, tutto pagato assicurazione compresa. La compagnia che doveva consegnare e Sicily By Car aereoporto fontanarossa.
Arrivata al banco noleggio, domenica scorsa il tizio allo sportello mi chiede documenti carta di credito, non accetta la mia Visa per pagare il deposito. A meno che non ripago tutto il noleggio a lui della macchina, altri 650€ per consegnarmi la macchina che io avevo già pagato online, e avrebbe accettato la mia carta Visa. Insisteva dicendomi che i soldi che avevo pagato li aveva l'altra compagnia. Non accettato il suo ricatto e sono andata via senza auto. Naturalmente ho avuto disagi per andare a casa. Credo che la gente incompetente non deve lavorare in questi luoghi. L'italia delle truffe e un vero schifo😒

HORRIBLE COMPANY AND EXPERIENCE charged us a crazy deposit of 2000 to begin with which was not even close to the cars value. Car was poorly maintained and obviously not roadworthy as the car barely has any power to get up a hill. After our first night with the car the battery decided to die in the middle of nowhere at 2200 after that we contacted support and sent us a roadside assistance vehicle which then charged the battery and blames us for leaving the lights on which we 100% did not do and started charging us up to 200€ for this inconvenience which he says we wont be getting back as we hadnt optened there expensive and overpriced Insurance that they tried to sell us on.

Il problema e che si sono pagati due volte il noleggio..
Volevo capire se e successo anche a qualcun'altro questo caso.

Extremely bad experience with Sicily by Car in Malta. When booking, we were not informed about additional “young driver” fees, which ended up being more expensive than the actual rental and insurance combined. Upon arrival, they falsely claimed that this extra fee is due to “Maltese law”, when in fact it’s just their internal policy – a clear case of deception.

Out of fear that they would charge us for damages that were already present (and poorly documented), and since we had to return the car outside of their office hours, we decided to return the vehicle the very next day.

The car itself was in terrible condition – it kept stalling, was poorly maintained, and clearly not roadworthy.

On top of that, they required a ridiculous deposit of €1800, which is absurd for a vehicle of that class and condition.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Their practices are unfair and leave tourists feeling scammed.

Absolute liars. Said they wouldn’t accept my AMEX card to try and upsell me their insurance. Their website clearly states that they do accept AMEX. Had to abandon and find a different rental, they took me to Alamo / Enterprise / National who gave me a ridiculous price and said they were the only rental who accepted AMEX in Malta airport which was a complete lie. Dreadful start to our holiday.

Mi sono sentito derubato mi consegnano la macchina senza fare alcun controllo al ritorno invece 3000 controlli e menomale che avevo pagato l'assicurazione contro danni e incidenti ho fatto il pieno a 10km dall' aeroporto e mi contestavano che mancava un po' di benzina e oggi mi trovo addebitato 45,00 euro sulla carta di credito senza sapere il perche
