PBS Passport needs to streamline the process. Not everyone watches television on their devices meant for other purposes. I watch television on one device, a television. Fancy that? Using the device created for that one purpose, watching TV!. It is public television, not national security, being forced to jump through multiple device QR Codes is utter nonsense. I've been a PBS member for over 50 years. I've had a passport since passport was born. But I just had to jump very unnecessary hoops to activate my renewed passport membership so that ....I COULD WATCH TELEVISION SHOWS MADE FOR TELEVISION ON MY ACTUALL TELEVISION. It's television, not nuke codes. Make the process simpler and you might find people are more willing to donate.

ShopPBS is now closed as of December 2024 and good riddance to an order-fulfillment company that was worse than useless; it was criminal! For PBS management to pretend they disassociated themselves from their order fulfillment company because of moving in a direction of local fulfillment through Amazon and big box retailers is both a lie and a betrayal of their loyal "Viewers like you." A bad experience with ShopPBS was the sole reason I stopped donating to my local PBS affiliate, that and stonewall silence when I asked about their financial arrangement with their order fulfillment company. Perhaps PBS.org can now concentrate on their core function as a broadcaster not a hocker of knick-knacks and gimcracks. And maybe its time for PBS management to make a heart-felt apology to all their viewers who lost money, time and faith in the organization because they partnered with a merchandising company that ripped their viewers off!

Looking for PBS DOT ORG to review as I've purchased Passport but can't get my access code, because I've used the wrong e-mail address.

Package shipped 2 weeks ago and tracking number can’t be found
Earrings not shipped from California as claimed on Facebook
I will never order anything from Facebook ever again.
I believe all the reviews for the lymphatic geranium earrings on Facebook are fake as is this company.

I just signed up to watch a particular show so they took my money and I proceeded to sit down to watch the show and it said thst video is not available to you. They could've been more transparent right from the start instead of taking my money. Anyway lesson learnt have deleted my account. THIEVING SCAMMERS!!!!!

Putting a pre order dvd through, price was ok at 29.98 and shipping cost 9.99... UNTIL I got to end and had to change shipping charges to "international" and charge for shipping was instantly changed to 50.00! I live in Canada just across the border from Buffalo, and I thought that PBS is supposed to be a partner with Canada (Toronto) - at least you are when fundraising from Canadians! Therefore I don't understand being classified as "international" for shipping, same as if I lived in China or Australia! I tried calling the numbers listed in the many emails I receive from PBS, but good luck getting anyone who can answer questions. I currently have a yearly subscription for a PBS app, but as soon as this expires I will be canceling it, also will never help financially with any fundraising requests and have unsubscribed from any future emails. Also, after reading other reviews, I am glad I canceled my order!

Signed up for the PBS channel a couple years ago. Decided shortly after that it wasn't what we wanted. It continues to be IMPOSSIBLE to cancel the subscription to the channel. It is an endless loop of "how long can we make then pay...".

Quite honestly we've decided that PBS is using its wholesome, innocent name/service as a front to refuse to cancel subscriptions. We've called multiple times, they "cant find our name/email/phone/address/whatever”, to cancel, however, they STILL find a way to continue to bill us AND send us a snail mail guide every month. Doesn't sound like a scam to me at all.... LOL!

To add another level of frustration, our local bank refuses to help us.... They tell us we need to "contact PBS and provide your account information". That's another story.

We will continue to try and cancel. Leaving this here to hopefully prevent other people from getting pulled into the "PBS is our friend" line they throw at people when they sign you up.

I placed an order in early December but realized my spouse had already purchased. I filled out the customer service form on the same day to cancel before shipping. Despite saying they respond within 24-48 hours I never heard anything. Filled out the form again. Nothing. The item shipped anyway. I put it in the mail using the smart label and now it has been two weeks and there is no tracking, nothing. I called CS who were not helpful and when I asked why no one responded to their form, she said they only answer phone calls. I told her they need to correct their website then because it is a lie. I will never spend my money with this company again.

This outfit is a pathetic and deeply inept, liberal, woke "joke"! For years we've tried ordering DVD's and CD's of various kinds from them, and each and every time we do, we receive almost immediate emails stating that one or more of the items is "back-ordered". Meaning, that they never had the item to begin with, so all they're doing down there is phishing and wasting people's time. To make matters worse, when we receive notice that one or more items in the order are back-ordered, we'll immediately instruct them to cancel the ENTIRE order, and yet, they'll still proceed to ship the other items in the order, despite being told NOT to. These clowns are flat-out despicable, conspiring criminals, that should be banned from doing business anywhere in the United States of America.

Overcharged $98.10 for dress listed at $69.98 and $9.86 for ornament listed at $3.98 (bought 3 of them). Tried to cancel as soon as the email confirmation arrived but agent said "too late, order is at warehouse. When the items arrive apply for refund of overcharge." Note that their website changes prices continuously so impossible to prove the price you saw.

Ordered once. No email showing order received. Ordered a second time. Same thing. Ordered a third time, and called to check status. Took almost 45 mins. to get to a 'representative' who spoke no English that I could understand, who transferred me to customer service, which turned out to be a bunch of numbered options, none of which was what I needed, but who hung up on me also. Called the original number back and got the same woman as he first time. By this time, all I wanted to do was cancel the order and forget the whole thing. She wouldn't do it the first time I called, but she says she did it this time. What a waste of time.

I placed an order on-line on 11/25/2023. I called customer service on 12/4/2023 to inquire as to order status. I was told by the CSR that my order had shipped. I called the automated customer service number again on 12/11/2023 and the system stated my order was being assembled and had not shipped. Upon receiving this response, I opted to speak to a CSR.
The CSR representative stated that my order had not shipped because my MasterCard was declined. I explained to the CSR that I had never had a MasterCard so that couldn't be true. After a pause, she began speaking again and I could hear another person coaching her on how to respond. She responded that it was my mistake since I had placed the order. I inquired if I could speak to a supervisor and she stated there wasn't anyone else I could speak with nor could she explain why I was told something different with my other two order status inquiries. The CSR was challenging to comprehend due to the language barriers and came across as very callous and snarky.

I placed an order 11/27/23. Called for status daily starting 12/6/23. Got the same questions and responses each time I called. According to their status now I need to call Customer Service. I did. Same answers, order in warehouse ready to ship, am expediting for you. Nothing has changed AND now the catalog says 2 items are backordered, not available until Feb. And I'm still being told everything is fine and order is in warehouse ready to ship. I will never again order anything from shoppbs that I really want or need.

The service that PBS uses in the Philippines is terrible. They couldn’t find my order when I provided the number and kept telling me that I received my order when in fact what I received was an order from an entirely different company. This inept clearing house was handling several magazine order businesses and can’t keep their records organized. When I click on their “click here” status button nothing shows up. This is the last time I order or deal with PBS and I still haven’t all my order. No organization.

I purchased a few things from shoppbs and only received one of the items. I contacted them via email and received an immediate apology for the mistake and they quickly sent the rest of my order. I received it very quickly with no further issues. I'm very pleased with the merchandise and service.

I donate every month, and my credit card is just fine. But OH sweet baby Jesus! Try to order a product, and I'm told "check or money order only" because 15 months ago they screwed up a chargeback. Phone calls, emails, a waste of time. PBS is just a nightmare to deal with. Love the programming, but I'm done.

I ordered, entered all info correctly and a couple of hours later got an invoice email showing that they were going to ship to the wrong address! I called and emailed immediately but was told that there was nothing they could go. They refused to modify or cancel the order and just told me to mail it back for a refund despite the fact that this is their screw up!! I will never shop with these clowns again and I advise others to avoid the aggravation and do likewise!

Had I not finally been connected with a REALLY nice man (sorry I didn't get his name!), I would have put only one star. I was having difficulty getting onto PBS Passport so I called the phone number given. Was on hold forever, then disconnected; turns out they weren't even open then - couldn't the recording have said so?? Sent an email, was given another phone number which, after my getting a lot of dead ends from the telephone tree, sent me back to the first number. Then again on hold forever, got disconnected. I tried again and miraculously got a VERY nice man who spent 20 minutes walking me through the process. He was great but their phone system is very poor. I know, short-staffed, etc. but still....
