Excellent Greenhouse and Outstanding…
Excellent Greenhouse and Outstanding Customer Service
I'm absolutely delighted with our 8 x 8 Sunhut greenhouse from Shire. I'm so glad we opted for the 8 x 8 rather than the 6 x 8, as those extra two feet make a world of difference, giving us so much more usable space.
We also changed the silver hardware to black, which looks fantastic and ties in perfectly with the barn next to the greenhouse.
Having looked at a similar 8 x 8 greenhouse, which would have cost us an extra £1,000, I think the Sunhut greenhouse represents excellent value for money.
The customer service from Shire was second to none — absolutely excellent from start to finish.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with the greenhouse, the value for money and the service we've received. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the product and Shire as a company.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear how happy you are with your 8 x 8 Sunhut greenhouse and that the extra space has made such a positive difference. The black hardware sounds like a fantastic choice, and we’re thrilled to hear it complements your barn so beautifully.
It’s especially rewarding to know that you feel the greenhouse offers excellent value for money and that our customer service exceeded your expectations. We take great pride in providing quality products alongside a positive customer experience, so your kind words really mean a lot to our team.
Thank you again for choosing Shire and for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope you enjoy your beautiful new greenhouse for many years to come!
The delivery was on time and the driver…
The delivery was on time and the driver was very helpful. The load was in perfect condition and laid out methodically for unloading.
The cabin was straight forward to assemble if you have some construction experience. Some of the timber was bent and warped but that is the nature of the material. Overall the cabin looks great and will do its intended job well.
The 19mm timber walls have a lot of deflection when lent against but that’s expected at this thickness.
We are happy with the product and service.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a detailed and positive review. We’re delighted to hear that your delivery arrived on time, that our driver was helpful, and that your cabin arrived in excellent condition, ready for unloading.
It’s great to hear that you found the assembly straightforward and are happy with the overall look and functionality of your cabin. As timber is a natural material, some variation in its shape and straightness can occur, and we appreciate your understanding of this. Your feedback regarding the flexibility of the 19mm wall boards is also appreciated.
We’re really pleased that you’re happy with both the product and the service you received. Thank you again for choosing us and for sharing your experience. We hope you enjoy your new cabin for many years to come!
Really cheap felt
Really cheap felt. Nails for felt roof too short and popped out. Needs to be better quality felt and better nails... longer to tack in so they don't all bend and pop out when you try to hammer in.

We’re sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations and thank you for sharing your comments with us.

Hi Lynn,
We’re sorry you’ve been left waiting for an answer to your enquiry.
We replied on 5 October with advice based on your photographs, although it sounds as though this may not have reached you. We also said we would confirm the installation cost, and we’re sorry this remains outstanding.
Please check your junk folder for our reply. We’ll follow up with the installation price and confirm the base requirements so you have the information you need before ordering.

I'm regretting this purchase...
I'm regretting this purchase...
1. The log cabin has design faults that had to be managed by modifying on-site, adding bespoke timbers bought from local suppliers.
2. If you are 1mm out of level on the base, then expect trouble all around.
3. The A5 size instructions are hardly legible and miss out crucial details. (The poor spelling is a sign of the lack of quality control with this company).
4. The timbers are poor quality and are untreated.
Since writing this review I have been asked to provide more details or the review may be removed. I am willing to provide Trustpilot with the purchase order details but I am not happy about giving this info to Shire GB as I have already contacted them about the situations.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept our sincere apologies for the delay with your order.
We completely understand your frustration, particularly as you were relying on the Tall Wall Log Store and had been expecting it sooner. Unfortunately, we were notified of an unexpected delay at the factory, which meant the original delivery date could not be met. We appreciate that this was disappointing, especially given the urgency you had explained to our team.
We’re pleased that the log store was delivered yesterday, and we hope that now it has arrived, you’re happy with the product and it meets your expectations.
We’re very sorry again for the inconvenience caused by the delay, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked to get your order delivered.

Hi Adrian,
We’re sorry that you were disappointed with the materials supplied and the service you received.
We acknowledge that the issues reported to our driver were not passed to our customer service team, and we apologise for the delay this caused. Once your retailer contacted us, we offered to arrange replacements for any damaged or unsuitable components. However, we understand your tradesmen had already purchased and fitted replacement materials.
Whilst we are unable to reimburse the independently arranged materials or additional labour costs, we recognise the frustration caused by the delivery disruption and the difficulties you experienced during assembly.
We’re sorry that your experience fell short of expectations.
Kind Regards,
