They approached me with paid writing opportunities. Paid as in... they want me to pay to write and be published. That's not how being a writer works. This company is predatory and, frankly, disgusting. Reading the positive reviews, I see clear marks of ChatGPT in many of them, and they all reek of fake, purchase reviews.

If you're a writer, please stay away. Do some research about the business of professional writing. You should never have to pay up front to write or publish anything. At most, $3-5 for submission to a lit mag and up to $25 for submission to a contest. That's it. Everything else is a scam.

I wish I could adequately convey my deep appreciation for the integrity, quality of work, professionalism and more importantly the fact that EVERYONE on the She Rises Team is heavily invested in my success. I have been blown away with the publishing team (published 3 books, 1 anthology, docuseries, magazine articles etc) as well as KnownPR where I was quickly onboarded, and media opportunities arrived without any work or stress on my part. My only regret is that I did not invest in myself for KnownPR sooner.

As a multiple-times published international bestselling author since 2002, I have worked with four German and 4 American publishers, have one art book self-published, and know the industry inside out. In the last 18 months alone, I published seven anthology chapters with She Rises Studios, with two more on the way, plus two journals and nearly a dozen magazine articles. Why do I keep choosing them? Because She Rises Studios is more than a standard publishing house.

They operate as a globally connected content creator and distributor — producing books, anthologies, magazines, podcasts, and even online TV shows — while offering supportive services like sales-page development, PR packages, stage reels, and live events. SheRises Studios has absolutely been a godsend! I had prayed about finding a publishing studio, and when God led me to them by going to their coffee connect first and seeing the interaction and how much Hanna gave in teaching people, encouraging people and sharing insights into the business world as she empowered women to empower others was so refreshing and inspiring. I was so impressed I decided to publish in some of their anthologies. I had a great experience so I republished a book I had self published “Breath of Heaven Manifesting God’s Way” and with the coaching insights my book hit BestSelling 18 award categories in three countries. I was blown away and the book printing quality was so much better than I had done. The Editing team was so helpful! I have since published 11 other anthologies with them which all have made Bestsellers awards. I am so grateful God led me to SheRises Studios! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. This has been an incredible author journey for me for the past year. I never thought I would write a chapter in a book, let alone my own solo book: Courageous Woman Casting Cares Upon Jesus. I also never expected to become a USA BEST SELLER with Amazon. This whole process is still somewhat surreal to me. What I do know is that Hanna Olivas, Adriana Luna Carlos, and Catherine Cruz have been incredible to work with since the day I signed my solo book contract with She Rises Studios & Fenix TV last year. Their entire SRS Team has been wonderful to work with and add a creative and innovative approach to the process. They have been supportive and excellent communicators along the way. Hanna has walked beside me, encouraged and challenged me, and helped me attain a whole other level of authorship and entrepreneurship through her teachings and mentorship along the way. It is easy to write when it flows from your heart. This happened to me. I started with one chapter in the book: Pray Don’t Panic and it led to me contributing to nine other anthologies this year. Writing these chapters, led by the Holy Spirit, gave me the confidence that I could write my own solo book; I did just that. I highly recommend working with SRS & Fenix TV if you want to write your own solo book and get published. I recommend possibly starting off with a few anthologies first, before taking that leap to the solo book. It helps you polish your skills as an author prior to writing your own book. You are in excellent hands with SRS & Fenix TV! Highly Recommend!

I was approached by Adriana on LinkedIn back in 2023, I was cautious to step into anything because I had some previous negative experiences with independent publishers, but from the first meeting I was promised my dream publishing experience.

I signed the contract for $10,000 (roughly £9000) and was so excited to finally get to call myself a published author. Looking back now I wish I had never dealt with them in the first place.

My contract said that I would get a full media and press release with a best-seller campaign, and 100 printed copies of my book. NONE of these ever happened!

Upon the publication of my book in May 2024, I was told that my media/press release would start straight away. I took hours out of my day to promote my work across various social media outlets expecting them to be doing the same thing or their side of things. So you can imagine my disappointment and confusion when NOTHING was happening. I kept emailing them to get answers and all responses were vague and standoffish.

In August, I was told that there was some kind of personal issue within the business meaning that my press release was never sent off. I gave the benefit of the doubt as they promised to re-do the press release with guaranteed media responses.

At this point, I was mentally exhausting myself to promote my work to the point where it had an effect on my physical health as well. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I had a meeting with Hanna, who told me that once again they hadn't released my work to the press due to the media focus on the US election. This is when sirens started blaring out to me and my family.

Their final attempt to keep me hanging on was to tell me that they would re-do the whole press release AGAIN in the new year. But by the time January came around I hadn't received anything, it was complete radio silence; I was promised a meeting with Hanna and that never happened. All contracted 24 hour support responses were nowhere to be seen either.

And that isn't everything. I never received my 100 copies (which had supposedly been sent off from the US at least three times), they kept saying that they don't understand how they could be getting lost from the US to the UK. Any paperbacks that I needed for my promotional pieces, I had to pay for with my own money - as if I hadn't already spent enough money.

The book itself was NEVER even made available instore, like the contract stated it would be.

In March of this year, it was time for me to pull the plug on the whole thing and face the facts that I had been scammed out of money. I had to hire a lawyer to help me get out of the contract and get my work back, my book was taken down and no longer made available to purchase online anywhere.

After finding out that my work wasn't even copyrighted in the database - which was a part of the contract - my lawyer helped me get back all rights to my work, which I now happily own.

She Rises Studios present themselves as a friendly, approachable, and empowering team of women, that will help you achieve your goals, but that is the complete opposite of what I experienced.

Imagine having your dreams presented to you on a plate just for it to be snatched away from you. That is what She Rises Studios did to me.

If I could give them 0 stars then I would do.

I had no idea what I was doing when I first decided to write my solo book. I just knew I had a story one that had been sitting on my heart for years. I didn’t know where to start or who would even care. To be honest, most of my friends and even some of my family didn’t understand why I wanted to write it. But She Rises Studios did. From day one, they believed in me when I didn’t even fully believe in myself.

Hanna Olivas, what can I say? She’s a rare kind of leader. She’s not just the face of the company, she has a heart that shows up, texts back, prays with you, laughs with you, and pushes you to dream bigger than you ever thought possible.

She Rises Studios has truly been a blessing in my life. Hanna and Adriana really care about helping women grow. The community is so supportive no competition, just love and encouragement. I’ve met amazing women and learned so much. From the books and podcasts to the real conversations, I always leave feeling inspired. It’s a place where women lift each other up, and I’m so thankful to be part of it.

I have written 4 or 5 anthologies with She Rises Studios. The experience was good at first, but as time has gone on, there has been an increase in lack of follow through and a complete breakdown in communication. My first anthology, was to include 10 free books plus I pd an addtl $80+ for more books. It was released in Jan/Feb 2024 and after several meetings with no apologies, I still have no books. Today I withdrew from my final anthology and 2 solo books and after starting the reasons, I received the quickest response to date with zero empathy, zero regrets or even an acknowledgement of mishandling. I do not recommended this organzation!

My experience has been amazing considering that I was a fresh brand new author that didn’t know anything about getting published. Not only did they help me get my book put together from writing the chapters to the grammar and working with my Editor Aistis, to the artwork with the design team, but Hanna worked with me personally to explain the best way to do marketing and get your book out there, invisible and known to the world.

This company is truly beautiful and is doing something amazing for women everywhere and it takes a lot of effort so please know that they are not gonna respond immediately and everyone always expects perfection but this is a grassroots company built by the mother daughter pair and I think it’s admirable.

If you lead with passion and purpose, then this is the publishing company for you. Thank you to SRS!

I really wanted to love She Rises Studios when I first started with them over a year ago. But although they had me sign a contract, they didn't stick to it. They promise a lot and deliver reluctantly, and are very hard to get answers from.
I was given a timeline that apparently only I was willing to stick to. They promised me an illustrator for my children's book and after many attempts to get examples of artwork I was told that their illustrator had not renewed their contract and I'd have to find someone to illustrate for me or do it myself. I was told that I would be compensated with an article in one of their magazines. I did my own illustrations and uploaded them with the book. I had to keep asking for progress reports and had to be the one to ask where we were in the process more than once.
I told them that I would be out of town for the projected date of publishing, because it had been moved from the original date. Yet they planned a live video kickoff event for the week that I would be gone.
When the book was published the pictures were all in black and white, which was not the way I had submitted them. They fixed it, but not until after I had already sold 13 in black and white!
According to the contract I was supposed to get 10 free books provided to me, I was going to use those 10 to replace the ones that had been sold in black and white, but She Rises told me that they couldn't honor that because they had set me up through Amazon. That had not been communicated to me at any time in the over a year that it took to get the book published. For this snafu they promised me a spot on their podcast. This has yet to happen.
I had to ask about the article they promised to put in one of their magazines multiple times. It finally came out in Becoming an Unstoppable Woman, but I had to write it myself and had to buy the issue just to see it.
Although I'm glad that my book was published and at a reasonable cost, the frustration associated with dealing with this company is a lot to ask.
They give no direction and I feel that they are spread too thin trying to get all of their magazines, podcast and various books published. I don't feel as though they can devote their time to any one project when they are trying to get their name out there at the cost of the authors they are ignoring in the process.

I was contacted by She Rises after this review was originally published and given a date for the podcast interview. They told me that they would send me a link once it was live. It’s been over a month and still nothing. I really would have rather had the free books, or compensation for the ones that were printed in black and white, but again, She Rises didn’t deliver on either their contract or their promises to make amends.
I’d give them 1 star if it weren’t for the fact that they did help me get my book published, and for that I truly am grateful, but if/when I publish my next book I definitely won’t be using She Rises for the project.

I didn’t expect this to be such a powerful experience. Being in a She Rises Studios anthology gave me the confidence to finally share my story, and the response has been incredible. The team made everything simple and meaningful, and the support from the community has been next level. It’s more than publishing, it’s being part of something that actually matters.

They try to become very big in a too short time. They can not handle it. They have - I dont know how many magazines - and try to make the members pay for advertising. Then every magazine is just full of advertising that the members should buy. Bad quality, no one reads. So they can not handle everything they are starting all the time. TV channels. Podcasts. Books. Public relations. I don not recommend to anyone.

Very disappointing experience from She Rises Studios as a co-author of a book collaboration to empower women. The project was pitched with "you'll receive guidance on writing". No guidance provided about structure of writing, just a suggestion to cut words from the draft to keep within the 1500 word limit.

Only when the book had gone to print did I learn that my name doesn't appear on the front cover of the book, only my first name appears on the back cover. How can you contribute to a book and not get credit on the cover? Reduce the type face font, shorten names to initials and surname only, get all the authors' names visible on the book cover, give credit to all who contributed! Had I known upfront that my name wouldn't be credited, I would not have participated in this project

SRS are based in the USA and weeks after the book became available on Amazon.com, the link to the book here in Europe - (Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.fr) - did not feature my name as co-author in the description - and with my name appearing neither in the book title or anywhere on the front cover, I felt there was a disconnect promoting the book when the front cover says it was written by someone else, and it kept showing as "unavailable" in the UK. The Amazon links now show me as an author, but everything about this project has been nothing short of frustrating

She Rises Studios did not fulfil their agreement to provide 10 free copies of the anthology book to each author. A year after the book went to print I was still repeatedly chasing them to uphold the agreement.

Finally, I received them shipped separately from Amazon; several of the books are damaged and She Rises Studios have done nothing to correct this notwithstanding multiple emails from me reminding them between December 2024 and March 2025. Communication is poor, they drop the ball and don't seem to care and for these reasons I cannot recommend them as a publisher

I don't feel it was a worthwhile investment of my time or money. At least one of my co-authors feels the same way. If you are considering getting your story out there, honestly, after this experience, I would recommend self publishing, or research alternative publishing houses that are out there - another friend participated in a similar co-author anthology book and her name IS credited on the front cover

They seem to have great hearts and are providing wonderful opportunities for women to connect and increase visibility.
Their inconsistent communication is problematic and at the root of many issues. During the writing phase of a multi-author anthology, deadlines on the original schedule came and went, with no communication. The first author's meeting was scheduled after some of the deadlines had already passed & when that was mentioned during the author meeting, the She Rises rep running the meeting seemed surprised the dates already passed. We were supposed to have regular author meetings, but only had 1 more. There was not as much guidance as the marketing to participate implied and the editing was merely grammar, nothing to improve the chapters' content.
Despite all this, the launch went well. It seems publicity is their strong suit.
Getting wholesale physical copies of the books has not happened after months (almost a year in some cases), with no explanation and at times telling authors not to ask about it or promising delivery dates that come and go, with no books still. This is extremely problematic. We authors have book signings scheduled & no books to sign.
She Rises continues to publicize more and more offers to buy into writing in anthologies, their magazine and other projects, yet they are not adequately fulfilling on current obligations.
I felt it important to provide the full picture for anyone considering investing in one of their projects, especially regarding their apparent inability to fulfill on the physical books (other than purchasing direct retail through Amazon).
