We had visited a rival the day before and was put off by a seemingly pushy sales pitch and felt we were almost followed around the store and if we dared glance at something they were on us again, when all we wanted was to have a look around.

So it was great going to SCS in Kidderminster, we were greeted politely, encouraged to look around and if we needed anything the sales lady was near.

We had a couple of questions about a product which were answered really clearly along with some suggestions.

After a short while we settled on a style, set and colour and brought them.

We paid a bigger deposit than was requested and the credit was done over 3 years, at an amount which suited us, all very easy.

We were in there for about 40 minutes from start to finish and we both commented when we left how nice, friendly and knowledgeable the sales lady was.

So as well as an amazing product we are looking forward to getting big thumbs up to Alice at Kidderminster store for how you dealt with us .. Top Notch

Matt was my main point of contact and it was a pleasure dealing with him. I was moving back to Birmingham from Kidderminster and I’d ordered a sofa, which sadly was too big to get into my flat.

I spoke with Matt and returned to the store to select another sofa. Matt took me through different options, and I was happy with the sofa I chose.

While I was there Matt pointed out items that were on sale, so I came away with a rug and lamp table, saving a huge amount of money with the discounts.

My new sofa arrived today and looks lovely in my living room.

We visited the other evening in search for a sofa and was greeted by Matt who was very informative and able to assist us in finding the perfect sofa for our first home.

Bought 2 sofas 14th January. Delivery expected 26th April. Tx on same day not in depot till 9th May! Delivery then 13th May. Road closed in Chelmarsh, but Highley fully open. No delivery again! Reset to today 15th May. Wasn’t holding my breath, but were delivered by two young polite lads, very competent at setting up the reclining sofas. What do I think of SCS.? Abominable! I’m a pensioner. Disposed of my own sofas 24th April to make room for new ones, so not had a seat for a month! Unacceptable! Their telephone system is unbearable, and their email system is non existent! So in my opinion, don’t touch this company with a barge pole. I am looking for compensation for this stressful ordeal they put me through!

Stephanie was very helpful and polite, did not push the sale, was knowledgeable about the sofas/chairs, and also understood our needs. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Good experience with sales and delivery, sadly downhill from there with aftersales. We bought an expensive top grade claret leather 3 seater settee, fabric chair and fabric recliner which were delivered Christmas week. After 2-3 weeks of use we noticed a white line appearing in the central seat feature joint which we thought was stitching. It seemed odd that this was white on a deep claret red leather when the rest of the settee was matching red cotton. The joints on the adjacent seats were also deeper and misaligned. Worried this might be a worsening fault, we e-mailed and sent photographs to SCS head office asking for advice and remedial action.
10 weeks later, SCS phoned and implied the stitching was exposed because we were sitting on the recliner and flattening the seat. I pointed out the problem was with the leather settee, not the fabric recliner and was told the same principle applied and this was also the reason for the misaligned joints. I was then advised to use the leather conditioner supplied with the furniture??
I told the representative that, in the meantime, I had used a very soft brush on the vacuum cleaner and after several gentle applications the white stitching had miraculously turned red. It is clearly a white residue working its way through the stitching and the standard get out of jail SCS excuses are way off the mark. So beware, if you buy a suite from SCS do not sit on it because aftersales will use this as an excuse for any problems, and don't expect any prompt or courteous replies from these people once they have got your money.

Lovely lady that served me called Alice...informative, bubbly personality and completely professional. She gave me lots of advice and answered any questions that I asked her. Very happy!

Had to write this review after the lack of customer service that was given to me yesterday whilst almost purchasing a £3000 sofa. I had visited the SCS in Kidderminster on Wednesday and was given a price which I mulled over and went back to sign up for it yesterday. I noticed on the website there could be an additional 5% discount and asked for this to be offered. It was agreed by the manager so we went from £3073 to £3043 now with 5% off. The lady (Alice) was very polite and helpful as they dropped it by 1% not 5%, but the manager said that's it that's the lowest we are giving although agreeing 5%, he should choose to do his math's and realize an empty store, sound travels. I left the store and received 3 calls that there was a problem with there system and was going to offer the price with the 5% discount. I am not sure I want to offer this manager my money now.

Popped to the store yesterday to see if we could find a sofa for our new home. Stephanie approached us, offered us help, guidance and advice to great standard. We returned today, greeted again by Stephanie who helped us order our new sofa and chair! Stephanie made something that we usually find stressful, stress-free! Extremely welcoming, polite and offered the friendly support and guidance we needed!

Really easy process, quick service and Nick was very knowledgeable.

Delivery of sofas was great they assembled it quickly and positioned it where we wanted it the only issue was the care kit was soaking and the box was damaged

We'd been let down with another company so we popped in about 10 mins before they closed, most staff would be slightly annoyed but Stephanie was great, made plenty of recommendations that suited our needs. Absolutely brilliant, delivered literally 2 days later.

We are not very easy to find but the crew took their time to find us and deliver our new recliner with no problems or issues at all. Excellent

After finally delivering 2 months late they sent the snuggle chair with the wrong coloured legs (2 other items in order were correct legs)
I've been waiting for a call back for days, can't get through on phone and no response on their contact us form. Really wouldn't bother with them.

I would have given them 0 but it’s not an option. The van came with my sofa and said they have called me 20 times, which is complete nonsense. I received a text with a vague delivery time.

After they had finished where they have left the sofa not fitted and with plastic still dumped in my home.

I went outside to move my car and found bottle caps and broken plastic shards where they have emptied their tool bag on my driveway, lucky I have cameras and have taken photos of the mess left. I am appalled with the service would not recommend to anyone.
