My experience started out great, the salesman, Chris knew his stuff and was very helpful. My sofa was due to be delivered 22/11 and a couple of days before I received an email stating it wasnt going to be delivered and they would contact me with a new date. There was no way to get in contact, the shop was being refurbished, emails were not answered, and the phone contact centre was closed in Dec. Not a good experience! The refurbished shop opened the week before Christmas so I went down to see what was happening. The staff were very good and gave me a full explanation of why things went wrong. I felt very sorry for them as they were dealing with irate clients. I'm not impressed with the old management even though they were handing over the business they could have been more professional with their customers, after sales service was non existent. Handover was done, new owner took over and I could not fault the staff from then on. I was going to get my sofa after new years but got a phonecall from the shop manager to say they could deliver the next day. I was amazed! The sofa was delivered by two lovely gents, they unpacked it and placed it for me, and took the packaging with them. My sofa is perfect. On hearing what the staff were having to deal with, I can sympathise with them, they are the face of the business and I dont believe in 'shooting the messenger, they can only do what they can with what they have. I wish the new management all the best and the staff keep doing what you are doing, and I hope management appreciate you efforts. I did. Thankyou. Trish

Beautiful newly fitted store. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Chris was our very tall and helpful salesman . No hard-sell, gave us all the information we needed. Really pleased with the suite we chose and pleasantly surprised at the cost. Very good experience 👌

This is a totally different and more positive experience than before their refurbishment. We already visited Winterhill and avoided SCS there when we went around all of the other furniture stores due to a previous bad experience in MK. Visited Interchange SCS and literally, the shop has had a complete overhaul. It is clean (wasn't before as always smelled of cigarettes before) and smells like nice furniture. The sales staff are polite, knowledgeable and approachable. Walked in with our 9 year old- she hates furniture shopping- showed Nathan (who served us) a picture of the sofa I wanted to look at - he took us straight to it and gave us actually helpful information about the pet-friendly ranges, the different fabrics and how the products would or may not meet the needs we rattled off. He was patient and waited for us to discuss our finances and agree privately before proceeding- no pushy sales tactics or gimmicks to upsell. Nathan was nice to our daughter rather than looking at her like she might ruin the shop, listened to all of us and sold us what we wanted -what more could you possibly ask for when sofa shopping?! So impressed. Literally recommend over and above all of the other sofa shops and have bought from three other competitors over the last 15 years.

Visited the revamped Bedford store today it looks great and the variety of sofas was brilliant staff friendly and helpful a special thanks to Nathan for his help in finding my perfect sofa would recommend this store if you are looking for good service and great furniture

Right from meeting the sales member, the service was excellent, and they helped us select the sofa that met all our requirements.
The sofa was delivered on the date advised, by Simon and Dan, who kept us informed about what time to expect the, delivery. Upon delivery and assembly of the sofa, they were always polite and efficient in their work, and made certain that we were happy with the sofa, before collecting up the packaging and removing to their lorry. So overall a very good sofa and excellent service by the SCS members we delt with.

Purchased two sofas from SCS and received them in September. We had pre chosen the sofas we wanted as we have limited space to fit them in and also we wanted a specific colour / fabric type. We purchased the ‘High Density’ cushion foam as our old sofa 10years old plus had really stated to degrade

All good until they were delivered. We sat on them that evening and immediately noticed that the cushions are not high density foam and when you get up the material gathers up.

Long story short - SCS central have washed their hands of the situation saying I have to deal with the store. I am calling out AJ the sales guy in the Bedford store, as he tells me I bought a cheap sofa what do I expect, I purchased a sofa that fits my home! Price was never discussed other than to upgrade the cushions.

The store manager, Nathan? I think refuses to contact me, personally I would steer well clear of SCS they remind me of Swiss Tony - they are happy to take your money, they also think it is acceptable to do nothing to resolve an issue with the quality of their goods

You haven’t answered my concerns as you are ignoring the fact that I was misled by your store staff who have not had the courtesy to call me despite being requested to by your so called management team. SCS comprehension to understand your customers concerns is breathtakingly arrogant.

I found the salesman that was dealing with me was the store manager and he was very professional with the way he dealt with the sale. And very helpful.

A bit slow with the delivery dates as ours took almost 3 months to arrive. It was delivered a day after the date given due to a driver shortage which couldn’t be helped.
But it was worth the long wait, as we love it!

Ordered 4 thousand pounds worth of sofas from SCS Bedford on 23rd August. (2 lovely big sofas and a small ottoman) Over 3 months later we still do not have a confirmed delivery date.... SCS refuse to speak to us and the local store is closed for a refurb.(conveniently) .. We are now perusing credit card company for a refund. Shocking service from this company, will never trust them again.

As far as the actual delivery was concerned nothing adverse to say. Arrival was on time and the item was in prime condition. The delivery guys were suitably sympathetic when we told them we were also expecting another order albeit it was a used sofa direct from the store we purchased it from. Also we told them that the chair they delivered was the wrong colour. Not their problems of course but they said they would report the matter on returning to the depot so we are expecting contact from the depot asap please. In the meantime they said we could hang on to the delivered item till it was sorted.

Delivery was undertaken by Simon and Morgan. The only way to describe the delivery is excellent. We were kept informed of time of arrival. They were both friendly and very helpful plus quick and efficient. Probably the best delivery we have ever had!

We are very pleased with the quality of our sofas and the good customer service. Well done SCS!

Do not buy from this company! Ordered my sofa weeks ago the delivery company called me a few days before delivery to say SCS are on stop with them as they have not paid the bill!! That was WS Stobart in Coventry! Then you get endless waits on the phones, no call backs their tracking system does not work and even emailing the CEO of the company got me a reply saying “ I no longer work for SCS” very worrying so PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY unless you like stress and being out of pocket, as I paid for my sofa and now I have no sofa and no money to buy another one!!! Ombudsman contacted!!!

Thank you SCS for your reply however I would like to clarify I have had numerous responses via phone or email telling me the same as you have just replied ‘ we will chase this up’ this does not happen and hence do not hold out much hope of seeing my sofa anytime soon! So my £2107.00 you have of my money is gaining interest in your account rather than mine!! So appalling that a large company like yours can offer such rubbish customer service! Again I would advise anyone reading this not to purchase a sofa from you for this reason!! Horrific experience!!!’nn

Nathan at the Ampthill store was nothing less than outstanding. He wasn't interested in getting a sale but interested in building rapport and a relationship with us which was wonderful I hate gping into a store and being pounced on and made to feel guilty if I don't buy anything.
Nathan was genuine and sat chatting with us we asked about the sofa and he told us all about it monthly cost delivery time and nothing was to much trouble because of his manner and non pushy sales manner we left the store with a new sofa and chair and a nest of tables. I cannot rate Nathan highly enough he is a credit to SCS

I received an email the day before delivery giving a time slot of 07.00 to 12.00, advising that the delivery guys would contact me an hour before they were due to arrive. On the day of delivery I received an email giving a delivery time of between 09.50 to 10.05. Shortly afterwards I had a phone call from the delivery guys saying they would be with me in approximately 30mins time, 09.05 & they were. When they arrived the delivery was fast, careful & efficient placing the furniture in situ, what's not to like.

Great service, really helpful from purchasing to delivery. Highly recommend using SCS in the future.
