High quality stylish product - excellent service

I'd like to add to my review. Schoffel are simply repeating their same reason for not helping. Would I really waste so much time and effort IF I HAD an invoice for this expensive jacket? Why do they keep repeating 'we need your invoice' over 19 emails? Why can't they offer practical help? Schoffel have stuck to their guns, their unhelpful customer service and offered me no help at all unless you can count them sending me some binding for me to find and pay for a seamstress to repair it. This would NOT have happened if the binding was fit for purpose and it obviously isn't or I would not be left with such a shabby jacket. A retailer should not have to be involved with a customer for a manufacturing issue.
Schoffel are not a company I would recommend and I would just warn others about the problems I have now got with this pricey jacket which I cannot wear.

I bought a ladies Burley Fleece jacket from a retailer I'd found on Google. My laptop had a melt down and despite getting a computer 'nerd' in to help I could not find the details of this retailer. On 31/3/26 I emailed Schoffel directly explaining what had happened and sending numerous images of my jacket where the binding has peeled not only down both sides of the zip but also the collar. The binding is not fit for purpose and my word it looks tatty, as though I'd I bought it at a market or boot sale. My jacket is a great advert for Schoffel - I think not.
Schoffel's website states: Burley Fleece Jacket A beautifully soft fleece jacket, made to last. £200.
Schoffel 'replied' to my email and I was asked and asked again for details of the retailer. Were they doing this so I'd give up? If I cannot give them that detail, which I had already said I couldn't, Schoffel said they cannot help as it is the retailer's problem, despite it being crystal clear it is a manufacturing fault because the binding they have used is in my view cheap and they have scipmed on this, although the fleece is as new. I could have bought a number of few fleece jackets for £200.00!
Emails continued,19 of them, basically me going around in circles, Schoffel not helping, but insisting it is the retailer who must sort this. The retailer then has to go back to Schoffel and they then I guess sort it out. Schoffel have no responsibilty apparently. Schoffel will not replace my scruffy jacket, Schoffel they wont repair it either, but have now sent me some binding and suggest I find a seamstress to repair it!!!!
I suggest potential purchasers of Schoffel keep their receipt from their retailer because this issue will happen again. Buyer Beware.

I purchased a gilet for my wife for Christmas. It has very light use - she's a doctor and wears it 2-3 days a week. She keeps her phone in one of the pockets. Within two months the fleece outside the pocket started to fail and developed a hole.

We've had gilets from Musto, Berghaus etc. that have never shown this issue.

Schoffel have refused to honour any warranty and state it's down to "friction" which is clearly unreasonable given the pattern of usage - there's an issue with this fabric.

Beware - customer service will not honour their obligations.

EDIT:
You will see Schoffel's response. Apparently, this is now "contact with an abrasive object" which given the pattern of usage (as an outer and mid layer inside a raincoat), is entirely laughable. According to their website, this product is "moderately durable".

Their own words are the best indicator of the level of service you can hope for. As before, avoid.

Great service, quality products…

I was so disappointed because the sizing and shape of the item was really strange. It was a pink potato sack, even with the elastic tightened at the back. It was so long it was past my bum and I don’t have a short body. It was really wide at the hips and tight on the bust, making me look twice as wide. I compared it with an older one I have and they are like chalk and cheese. One is plush, shaped and flattering and the pink one is thinner fleece, not as soft, long and shapeless. Where the elastic gathered, it looks like folds of material just baggy and not sitting smooth on the back because it was far too long. I’m afraid the quality and design is not what it once was and not worth the price any more.

From ordering to delivery I was kept informed at all times

The product quality is great. The returns and replacement (needed as size was too large) was also fast and efficient.
Sadly the delivery first time was not where requested but was simply thrown over the gate in its cardboard box in pouring rain.
Replacement delivery was made to wrong address !!!

I ordered my gillet on Wednesday late afternoon and it arrived by 9am Thursday morning!
Beautifully packaged … 10/10 😃

Original order too small; returns easy and same day replacement larger size. Excellent service and good communication with sales team with quick resolution
