I own a small studio and a few of my microphones broke during storm dennis. I contacted rode's support team about this and they started accusing me of being fraudulent and said that they would refer me to 'law enforcement'. I haven't done anything wrong. I would advise people avoiding this company in the future.
Warrantee repair and product quality
Having recently sent a VMP+ for repair, I have to say Rode are very professional company, they immediately responded to tell me they knew already of the issue and that a repair would be effected promptly. The repair agent also contacted me promptly to confirm receipt of the mic and the repair specifics. I'm the proud owner of the NTG3, so having to have the VMP+ repaired under warrantee gives me a lot of faith in Rode and I'm impressed with their service as well as their products! Thank you Rode.

I bought them for private use and found that for the money the audio and build quality along with the reliability were great .
I always receive positive comments on the quality of the audio .
Like any mainstream electronics these days all brands can have issues but I havnt experienced any so far.
I’ve used the mics with the following :
iPhone 6s
iPhone 6s Plus
Panasonic GH4
Canon 60D
So yes I would continue to use Rode equipment .
I thought I was onto a winner with the…
I thought I was onto a winner with the SmartLav+ microphone but it's given me nothing but grief.
It doesn't work with the Samsung Galaxy S9 (even though Rode support say they work with all Android).
Support gave me a bunch of apps to try but none of them work either. I initially blamed Samsung but then tried the microphone with my Panasonic camcorder and it still doesn't work!
I've wasted £60. Such a bad experience. I've had this stupid microphone for almost 2 months and have spent my whole time talking to support and trying to find ways to make it work.
It's a microphone, for crying out loud! Should be easy!

Bought one of these for my DSLR. A great bit of kit. Sound quality is great and adds a lot of audio depth to my videos.
Rode Rec iOS app CRASH
Major problems with RødeRec iOS app!
I have a problem with exporting large files recorded using Røde Rec (version 2.8.1). The app crashes every time I try to open or export large files. I have tried a wired file transfer, upload to Dropbox etc... nothing works...!
When I make shorter recordings it works fine. But don’t expect your long recordings can be retrieved in any way from your phone!!
I got a (standard) reply from Røde that confirm they are aware of these problems… They came with a solution to retrieve my recording manually using iExplorer. It doesn’t work.
So I am, to say the least, very disappointed with the Rode Rec iOS app…!!!
