I had the unfortunate experience of using Repaircare for a dishwasher repair, and it was a complete waste of time and money. Here’s why:
First off, my original appointment was cancelled due to an error I made in providing the wrong phone number. I understand mistakes happen, but what really frustrated me was that they didn't notify me of the cancellation. No phone call, no email—nothing. I was left completely in the dark. Considering they had my contact details, they could have easily informed me via email or other means, but instead, I was left to figure it out myself.
When the appointment was eventually rescheduled, the engineer arrived, but the whole experience was a letdown from start to finish. I was asked to provide a parking permit for the engineer, which I had no prior knowledge of, adding extra inconvenience to the situation.
As for the repair itself, the engineer’s inspection was incredibly superficial. After a very brief look at the dishwasher, he immediately concluded the issue was with the power supply socket without testing anything. I insisted he pull out the dishwasher to check the rear, but even then, he did nothing further. After the engineer left and despite my doubts about the power supply, I tried the dishwasher in another socket as he suggested—unsurprisingly, the issue remained unchanged.
What really got me was the lack of proper testing equipment or tools. The engineer didn't even check the dishwasher’s internals with a multimeter or any diagnostic equipment. He didn’t even attempt to identify the real cause of the problem.
I got a call the next day from Repaircare and was told that the parts required would exceed the £250 limit, despite the fact, that no real testing or diagnosis was carried out by the engineer.
To top it off, Repaircare’s website promises a £129 repair cost, but nowhere does it make it clear that if parts cost over £250, they won’t proceed with the repair. This crucial information is buried in the terms and conditions, which most people don’t bother reading. The service was essentially useless, and I was charged £75 for the privilege.
I also noticed that although Repaircare has a 4.4-star rating, a significant 21% of reviews are one-star. After this experience, I can see why. I’d advise anyone thinking about using their services to think twice and carefully check reviews before committing to an appointment.
In short, I’m out £75, have a dishwasher that still doesn’t work, and no real answers. I would not recommend Repaircare to anyone.

One fee, came out and diagnosed repair and then fixed, no extra charges .

The gas part sent for the repair was faulty! The gas engineer did not give up and managed to repair it.
He did not give up...he could have done, which would have meant another visit.

BEWARE- this fixed price they offer is a con. Their website says “fixed price repair regardless of the issue”. Yet engineer spend 5 mins at my home and stated the oven needed a new control panel. I was later contacted and told the part was above their limit but I would be charged £75 call out ! They insist that this is published clearly on their website, but it is not, it clearly states “regardless of issue “. I’m sure there is some wording buried in their T&Cs, but who actually reads all of that. So I’m £75 down, oven isn’t fixed and I’ve now got to pay another company to do the repair !!!
Reply given by Repaircare is simply not true. The front page of your website states
“We’ll give you a fixed price”
“The price we quote is the price you pay, regardless of issue “

Check out your own website, you are misleading people and the public deserves to know. Many of your 1 star feedback also say the same thing. I’m sure buried in the small print of the T&Cs are your £250 limit, but you have to find them and go thru them all which must people do not. Be upfront and put it on the front page of your website

Fault to NEFF oven assessed on first visit and repaired on arranged date. Very efficient and friendly service

Professional and efficient, quick repair

Operative rang before arrival, work carried out promptly with no fuss.

Shocking service. I booked a repair call for my new Falcon range cooker via the Rangemaster website. They outsource repairs to Repaircare. An engineer called me and booked a slot for “sometime after 4pm a few days later”. Waited in all evening but engineer didn’t turn up. No call either. I phoned the next day to be told someone would be in touch shortly. Again no call. Booked repair again via the website and was given another slot a few days later. The day before I got a text message to say the repair was now complete yet no-one had turned up. Called the number on the text message to be told it must be a system error and that someone would again call me later. This has been almost two weeks!! Very little confidence in this service and wish I’d bought a different cooker now.

Don't tell lies!

Technician turned up on time, was polite and knowledgeable, and fixed my dishwasher very quickly. This was all at a fixed price so we were very happy with the service and outcome.

Quick, efficient and friendly service. Great value for money! Highly recommended.
