Went into Rebel at Maroochydore Homemaker Centre today. Was in there for around 20 minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged.
No greeting on arrival and not one salesperson approached me during my time there yet there were plenty who could have.
Will definitely NOT be going back to this store EVER!

Online most of the cloth material are damaged and they have very bad customer service waiting on the phone for two hours and they have misleading info about the coupon code over $50 they only apply after delivery cost added it's $56 over $50 but they say oh no the item had to be over $50 not like this so let's say you buy for $60 they do not apply it tell you add the delivery cost then you can apply the coupon but this is misleading because you only apply it after the delivery cost so they are thief's and they should say coupon code not Included delivery cost???
Not just write it in small print in the end of the email with all the photos there.
I had made two orders $400 pick up $3
And $380 had no discount code and charged for delivery $6 delivery most items were damaged.
And had very bad experience with customer service as well
One of them she was very rude to me I told her you should not speak like that I will complain her reply was great my name is Star I said sorry star she replied Twinkle Twinkle Little Star I mean how rude and horrible.
The second one was a piece of s*** she hung up on me when I said to her I'm recording her conversation and ask for her name, I don't the command them whatsoever.

Whats the point of having a click and collect option during level 3 if you cant collect. Rebel sports sux, they have even made it hard to buy online with a visa debit card(the bank told me how annoyed they are with people calling to say they cant purchase from rebel sports with visa debit after having to call them myself). Stick to other sports apparell stores is my advice when shopping online.

Be careful. Do not buy online in NZ.
Parcel has not arrived after several weeks of ordering, no customer assistance and expects their customers to follow up with their delivery courier!
This company is not serious, they have a 0800 number that just plays music and no body answers. The delivery company they use is probably the cheapest one with terrible customer service too.
Will contact the Commerce Commission and Fair Go to stop this kind of abuse from happening to other customers.

I placed a click and collect order.
I arrived at my selected store approximately 1.5 hours before the closing time as indicated in their website. The sign on the door advised to call for assistance. Myself and another customer spent 30 minutes calling and waving to staff passing by. Eventually a staff member came to the door and aggressively advised us they were closed - no note on the door, no update on their website. I can't collect my items if the opening hours are interpreted differently each day by the store.

I've received an email asking me to review my purchases, that I do not have.

I've now sent 2 emails asking for a refund and no reply. I'm going to fair trading and I strongly encourage those in a similar situation to do the same. Their customer review ratings are abysmal. Fair trading exist to protect customers, they cannot deal with dodgy retailers if we do not report them.

Waiting out the lock down I decided to purchase some home Gym equipment from Rebel Sports.
After placing the order my wife told me that she had organised the same equipment for my birthday which was a few weeks away and the gear had arrived and was in the shed. I promptly got on line and tried to contact Rebel Sports. After a few attempts and several hours of being on hold without ever being put in contact with rebel staff I tried the email contact form - left detailed description of the issue and cancelled my order which I could see in the online portal had not been shipped. Over the next 14 days rebel shipped all of the parts of my order one by one - Each time one arrived I would try to call and then send follow up emails - On the final delivery - within 2 hours of it landing I received an email back stating that as the delivery is now complete they cannot cancel the order.This is 14 days after the original cancellation email. I have been trying to get my funds returned ever since and to say the customer service department is a bunch of condescending and incompetent clowns would be the understatement of the year. There is no attempt to rectify the issues there own incompetence has created . They have told me I should have called them to cancel this order and that they were not aware it was cancelled (5 emails to that effect obviously don't count and every attempt to call was not answered by rebel) We are now left with a significant freight bill to return the equipment if we want a refund. DO NOT DEAL WITH REBEL SPORT they are incompetent and unless your a masochist you will not enjoy the experience.

After scrolling through the reviews and having purchased a broken stopwatch only yesterday, there is clearly a pattern of faulty products and poor customer service (if any). Not sure there are many sporting stores left as Rebel seem to have bought them up but if you have another option, go with it or risk receiving poor quality items.

Brought my husband shorts for fathers day order the week before fathers day also paid express post to ensure they were here and checked delivery dates etc and STILL waiting for items.
I am at the point where I just want a refund it's absolutely disgusting service

Bought/tried to buy a pair of sneakers online.
Went through entire checkout process and paid. Then waited for a confirmation notice….and waited….and waited…..20 hours later….still waiting. Called the customer service line and even the recorded message is AGGRESSIVE and RUDE! (I kid you not- please try calling it before ordering something to see for yourself) still waiting for a callback after 1 hour. Tried the customer chat online….still waiting for a ‘team member’ to be available…..it’s been an hour…
NON EXISTENT SERVICE!!!!!!!

The Staff at Rebel Sport in Darwin are amazing, I was in the process of buying a home gym. There was only 1 of that particular gym left in store. After payment and on delivery to my car it was discovered that parts were missing from the gym. There were no other of that type in the state, straight away the manager said he would be happy to give me an upgrade for the same price. It was hundreds of dollars difference in price. Brilliant customer service, the manager and a young female staff member packed the gym in my car . I am really grateful for their customer service, attitude and help. Whenever I visit the store there is always a staff member willing to help the, staff are the ones that make this store so great.

Misleading returns policy that is influenced by promise of subsequent purchases.
I buy some $300 running shoes, I walk around the shop for 50m in them, they feel OK. I'm told I can always return or swap them if they're not right.

I wear them for less than 300m outside before determining that my morons neuroma op site is impinging on the front of the upper, my feel swell a little since) I go back in, and try the 4E's which are wider, perfect. I take them to the counter with the shoes I'd bought previously and my receipt and I'm asked, "have you worn them" . Perhaps I should have just lied, but I said yes, the lady at the counter spent about a minute looking at them for any marks while I explained I'd only worn them inside, she found a piece of fibre from the carpet at home (I kid you not) and a very light smudge on the white edge of the outer she removed in front of me. She turned to me and said "no sorry you can't return them because you've worn them". Disgruntled I take them home and clean them meticulously.
They're spotless, absolutely spotless, but on the second attempt the rules are rules, "you can't return a shoe that's been worn, even if it's just 200m and even if it's spotless"
If that's the case, why do your staff even bother to suggest I can "return them if they're not suitable", the concept that running shoes can be assessed for suitability, without wearing them, is false. Do the legal department at rebel sport think people assess running shoes on colour ? After a fairly heated discussion with the manager he then started asking if I wanted to buy a more expensive brand or just get my money back. I told him I just wanted to change the width, but I then asked him why he asked this question and why this should influence if a shoe qualifies for return. He said it doesn't. I asked him why he asked, he shrugged his shoulder and handed me the box and walked away.
There is fundamental dishonesty at play here. The refund policy changes according to whether the customer wants to upgrade or swap to a better size. It also ignores that most of the shoes sold in those shops, especially expensive running shoes are tried on by other people first, but this doesn't stop rebel sport from selling them as new, but somehow that same mileage at home stops people returning them.
Obviously I'll never be buying another thing from RS.

My issue is with trying to phone them. I got through first time and asked for shoe department .. they put me through but no ring tone, just silence .. I held on for several minutes then hung up. Tried ringing again to find out what happened, but no one answers the phone. After 3 more attempts with just continuing ringing and holding on, I got another person, asked to be transferred to shoe dept, again silence for 10 minutes before I hung up .. what gives. I had gone in the day before looking for a particular shoe, which didn't seem to be on shelf, had rung the 0800 number to see who had in stock, which they said Panmure. As I didn't want to drive all the way to the store without verifying if it indeed was in stock, I decided to ring .. but obviously don't really care .. so I guess I might get the shoes somewhere else

I tried to order a gift card online to be sent to my grandson. Three weeks later and he’s still not received it despite Rebel customer service telling me it’s been dispatched - although I was given two different dispatch dates by different customer service operators! I’ve emailed them twice but they don’t reply. They took my money straight away via PayPal and even though I tried to contact them via PayPal they’ve not bothered to reply to that message either! Poor customer service - don’t bother trying to order anything online from them.

Attended Cairns store with intention to purchase shoes. Staff disinterested to serve. Finally, was approached my a male staff member. I reported that I wanted running shoes, he directed me to where the shoes are on wall and to let him know if I wanted to try any on. Staff member then walked away. Lost sale to Rebel as I left the store to go elsewhere to get some guidance/help/customer service...spending over $200.

Training in customer service for staff in Cairns store needed.

I bought something at Rebelsport that was meant to be a present for a friend. When I asked for an exchange card I was told they don't give out exchange cards. So if my friend wants to exchange her present, I would have to give her the receipt (with the price of the item). This is the first time I've encountered this in any shop (anywhere in the world – I am European). Get with the programme, Rebelsport.

It seems the New Zealand branch of rebel sport couldn't give a rat's ass about it's online customers, I've been trying to order online and same problems left emails and no reply, I've seen that the Australian branch reply to there's customers.

They sent me the wrong item and did not refund me the shipping cost. I sent multiple emails asking for an explanation, and they kept claiming that they did process a refund and the transaction was successful. This is not true, my card issuing bank never received it.

Save yourself a hassle and don’t buy from rebel sports online. I do a lot of online shopping and never had I ever witnessed such a poor and incompetent experience from a large Australian brand. I placed a $400 order on the 19th of December it’s now the new year and my order still hasn’t been shipped nor have I received any updates. This was meant to be a nice gift for my partner’s birthday on the New Years.

I’ve reached out to your customer service on multiple platforms and all the responses have been either non-existent or very slow and irresponsive. Apparently there was a mix up with my order but still no responses. I’m beyond disturbed and frankly won’t be buying from them again. I’ll be warning all my family members and friends of this.
