Used to be a great vets. Now, sadly, like most vets, it's being ran by Financial Directors over animal health care professionals. You are their cash cow and they are here to milk you. Cost quoted for flea, tick, worming treatment and a scale an polish for my 5 year old collie, £550

Steer clear and find a decent vet that is more about animal welfare, not quarterly profits.

I have used this vets for the last two years, the first year was fine, they are across the road so really convenient and the staff are lovely, I chose to move vets for this reason and the fact they offered a monthly scheme with a text msg service to let me know when my dogs flea and wormer were ready to order/collect, this worked for a year, then the msg stopped with out any warning, apparently because my data protection needed renewing, again not notified of this, consequently my menopausal brain fog cleared for a moment and I realised it had been a while since he was wormed etc, rang the vets to be told I had paid into the VIP scheme for a year without being notified of the meds being ready, I was not entitled to a refund and I was not allowed to have the meds I had already paid for, challenged this was faced with questionable excuses and rude staff, challenged again and the tactic of trying to guilt shame me by stating in a somewhat condescending manner that it was on the terms and conditions that it is my responsibility and did I not know my dog needed this treatment!!!

After making an appointment with my jack russell a couple of weeks ago and seeing a vet who was more interested in telling me she had just come back from maternity leave than examining my dog my husband went back into Rase on the 17th of June to request a referral to Paragon. No contact received from either Rase nor Paragon so yesterday (this is now over a week) I rang Rase to check the situation - nothing had been done about the referral! I requested it again and they promised to do it yesterday, so this afternoon I rang Paragon to make an appointment - they have received no referral from Rase. I have now rung Rase once again and once again they are promising to do it today. I have a dog in discomfort who needs medical attention which they obviously don't care about because the money is not coming to their pocket. Absolutely disgusted with their lack of service.

Crap service from start to end and demanding money for services not done

I don't understand all the negative reviews as I have only had excellent support at Rase. I found the staff very caring and professional especially during a very traumatic vist.

Rude useless and appalling. I have never been spoken to in such a disgusting way by the admin team. Absolutely shocked and distressed and would never use this surgery again. They do not deserve to be in business.

Dreadful Service, rip you off and no empathy whatsoever for you or your animal. See other reviews and avoid at all costs.

“The caring professionals” couldn’t be further from the truth.
Absolutely disgusting customer service, told lie after lie. Took our dog in today for castration ( had to pay before I left him there). Rang for an update at 11, told he hadn’t been seen yet as they had an emergency, he was going under in 30 mins. Rang back at 4pm to be told the vet would ring us back, as he hadn’t been operated on yet! Vet rang informed me of an issue that would cost a lot more money, which had they examined him in the first place they would have observed. So I went to collect my dog. To be told he’d been out for a walk, and been fed, (hadn’t eaten since 6pm yesterday) by the vet, but the receptionist told us he’d been in the cage all day and hadn’t been out at all or fed. He messed twice after we got him into reception and three times outside. I had been warned about this vets, but he was already registered with them when we got him (rescue).
Conflicting stories, lack of basic care for the animals in their care, boarding on abuse. Needless to say my dog deserves better care and we will not be going back there. My poor dog was starving and so thirsty disgusting treatment by veterinary ‘professionals’ all they are bothered about is money.

They did the wrong operation on the wrong leg of my dog. Left us with a £12000 bill for reconstructive surgery. Have never apologised. Are under investigation. Avoid.

Absolutely abysmal service - had to call to ask for a repeat prescription for a horse that is chronically Ill and could hardly breathe.
Promised to send - 24 hours later nothing, called again explaining the urgency again this time they send a copy of a used prescription so we still couldn’t order the drugs needed. Called bk and explained receptionist v apologetic and promised to sort again but still nothing 4 hours later.

I would not recommend Rase vets to anyone. I would not even trust them with a goldfish. Took our dog to them three times and told them i thought their was something seriously wrong. Told them that my dogs stomach was really big and he was unwell. They dismissed this first time around and just gave him some medication. Another two time after asking for blood tests to be done they dismissed it again and said he is fine. He then got very poorly so i took him to another vets and they then said straight away he needs a scan, that was within minutes of seeing him. It was then found that he had a tumour. We have now lost him due to Rase unproffessional behaviour.
We are now reporting them for negligent practice and seeking legal advice.
If you care about your pet then you should give Rase Vets a wide birth. They have no interest in your pet, they are only interested in money and making mistakes.
