Painful bruised blood draws
I live in Avon Ohio. I’ve multiple bad experiences concerning blood draw technique at the Avon location in EMH off of Detroit rd. Always very painful. One substitute technician ( they are short on help) hit a nerve. So I tried the quest lab at St. John’s Westshore and that was no better. Very painful needle stick( that is now black and blue three days later) she took the needle out and said ( I’m not going to hurt people) didn’t apply pressure to it so now the big bruise) Second attempt was ok, Why are they so bad at what they do?
I just had the worst experience ever…
I just had the worst experience ever with this crap place. I made an appointment and checked in on my phone, sat there for an hour only to be told that the employees tell people to check in on the front computer and that I don’t have an appointment.
Qwest management is shameful
If an older person did not make an appt, they may sit for hours. The check-in is confusing for older folks and the technicians can't help because they are being timed on how many patients they see. Quest is not Healthcare, they are Wealthcare. Shame on UH for hiring them.
I was at Quest Diagnostics on Military…
I was at Quest Diagnostics on Military Drive inside Walmart in San Antonio. I understand I was late. I made an appointment for 9:50 am. The associate came and said, " Let's put you on standby. I will be back to see if the place is not busy, and we can see u instead of waiting. I waited, but now I no longer have the appointment. Another associate came wearing pink scrubs; she was so rude that everyone in the foyer saw and commented on it. Now it's lost 10. I haven't been seen. I know the place was busy, but it's way they treat their customers like we are asking for free service. There is always a better way to interact with people. She came out raising her voice and all. I have been going to this location for a long time, but I think this is the last time. I wish there were a way to give 0 stars
Always a short wait time
Today I was about 15 min late for my appointment due to an important business call coming in. But I was pleasantly pleased to not have to wait a long time. The 3 stars are bc the staff seemed hurried and exhausted. But the phlebotemist warmed up to me when she saw that I was a pleasant customer to deal with. The visit ended well.
Absolutely terrible website
Absolutely terrible website. You cannot send any message to the Customer Service. Quest Diagnostics passes me around. It doesn't work with Firefox browser when you need to update insurance. I used Edge to update my insurance and it looks like it worked, but hell not! After updating for 5 times (1) the insurance wasn't changed!
Horrid wait times
Horrid wait times. I had an appointment just to get blood drawn and it was 50 minutes past my appointment time before they even called me in. I had a lab slip but didn't print it out (I was not informed of this, it was on my phone). I sent it to the email they told me to send it to, and didn't tell me what else to do; it felt like they forgot I was even there, and removed my name on the "current appointments" list. So I ended up waiting an extra hour and ten minutes or so for seemingly no reason. In the end I got out 2 hours after when my appointment was supposed to be... when it was just drawing blood and took ten minutes once I was finally called. The room was devoid of employees or anyone that weren't waiting hours like me, so I couldn't get any assistance.
secondary insurance
Wish I could give this company a zero for the BILLING DEPARTMENT!!!!! Seems they have no idea how to handle a secondary insurance. The website no longer allows putting in this information, and I am sending the secondary insurance information for a 2nd time today. Fix it ASAP. This is super poor customer service.
An entire year of having to call Quest with every bill (about 8 times)
An entire year of having to call Quest to send every bill for me and my husband to the appropriate insurance address despite having called them to get it corrected multiple times (at least 8 times) and providing them with the card with the correct address at every lab visit. Then they billed me stating that my insurance denied the claim because my doctor did not provide appropriate diagnosis, but my insurance company said they denied it because it was not submitted within CMS guidelines of 90 days and therefore my health insurance told me it was denied and I was not liable. Every time we called, we had to wait nearly an hour to even talk with someone. Then Quest refused to talk to my insurance company and state the EOB did not have timeliness as a denial reason. My insurance told me the EOB with that reason was also sent to them. I will never use this company again.
Facility not open for an appointment with no notice
When I went to an appointment at a Quest facility, The door was locked and no one was there, and there was no one that I was able to call. I waited 45 minutes and still no one showed up. I had driven an hour to get there, wasting my day off and gas.
I called the corporate office and explain what had happened. They said that they do not have an ability to cancel an appointment if they close a facility. This is extremely poor business practice and is not fair to the customers since they would like and advance cancellation if we have to cancel.

Scary techs working at the Laurel Park drive!
The techs are so rude uneducated far from professionals! They yell at the customers and even refuse to serve drawing blood and chase out! The Quest company make sure who they hire! I went in today for 10:10 am appointment and there were nobody waiting. I went there before my appointment time but the two techs chatting each other ignoring the patient. Daniel and other woman called me about 15 min late and they refuse to draw blood and chase me out of the room! Daniel said she don’t want to draw blood from me! What a crazy situation since I have a stand ing order from my doctor and it’s very important to get my blood work done! The place I went to was 14291 Laurel Park place! Most of the techs are very scary! I’ll change my lab to Lapcorp! No more Quest! I don’t need to be treated like this and they made me feel terrified! Please don’t go this place! They might kill you one day!
Did not complete my tests and closed weekend service
Just learned quest did not do all the physician ordered testing my Ins Co and I paid for last year. And now they have closed Saturday service at my local hospital so I have to take time off work. They don't care about our health or quality customer service, they only care about the 1% share holders like every other corporation. Another health care rip off.
I would choose zero star if available
I would choose zero star if available. I made an appt. at the Southland Mall, Hayward, CA location - had to get a test done for research at UC Davis. They gave me a kit. When I got to the Quest, they told me that they don't do those tests on Fridays. I asked them there was no information online. They said I made the wrong choice when I made the appt. So I made the next appt. in front of them and asked them which option to choose. They told me All Other Tests - which is the one I had initially chosen! They said FedEx has to pick up the test. One person told me I had to make an appt. Mon- Thurs before 1pm and another person said the appt should be made before 11am!
The Leechburg Office
The Leechburg, PA office has a very rude phlebotomist named Nicole. Myself being a phlebotomist would have never treated someone so rudely or drawn someone’s blood in the manner she did. Two sticks later and a terrible experience.
I had a horrific experience at the…
I had a horrific experience at the playa vista location involving a crazy long wait and an incompetent technician who mangled my arm and was unable to do a simple blood draw. She gave up and sent me away. It was so bad that the next time I tried quest mobile, with the idea that I pay money for a better technician to come to my house. The technician did not call to confirm. He showed up 20 min late without apology or greeting. I confirmed they told him I am a difficult stick (the whole reason I wanted to use their service) and his response was they try twice and that's it. I asked if they have the smaller needle as I discussed on the original call he said they have only one needle. Then he puts the elastic band on wrong so it grabbed all the skin. I yelped and rather than an apology or any expression of concern he handed the rubberband (yes, a rubberband) to me and asked in a very obnoxious way if I want to put it on myself which of course is impossible. I have a very large bruise from the "tourniquet," the first time that has ever happened. I then tried to show him the vein that everyone uses and he said he wanted to do it his way. He then handed me the needle and again asked me if I want to do it myself. He stuck me and of course there was no vein so he announced in a very arrogant manner that is one try, and if the second time does not work that's it. The second time he did it in the correct spot and it did work. There is more about how horrible and rude he acted but these are the highlights. When I complained to the company, "Afifah" told me to email her the details, which I did, but it has been over two weeks and of course no reply.
Another Great Visit to Quest
This is my third visit to the Canton location (Oakdale Road) in the past 6 months and each time I have been, the experience was great! Nobody likes to get stuck with a needle, but Michelle is awesome, and the stick is painless. She's always been kind and gets it right each time (I've seen her twice now). Have patience with our healthcare workers and the kindness will be returned.
I went for blood work at quest
I went for blood work at quest . And I got a call from them like I have to give a blood again they messed up. The person who took my blood seemed like new person in this profession both my arms like dark blue and hurting bad . And their Service was very very poor
This place is a joke
I went on a Tuesday at 1130 am. The lady told me I have to do the test before 10 am so I needed to come back the next day . I came in at 930 am Wednesday
The lady that was there told me it had to be before 9 am. I said the lady yesterday told me 10 am. She said no it's before 9 am. So I scheduled a appointment at 830 am on Thursday. I arrived on time and got my labs drawn. About 3 days after I get a notification that says I was a "hard stick" and they couldnt draw the labs and was told to return to do the tests another day. They drew blood and now said they didn't, even though they did and no one can find my blood. So now I got my labs sent to another place. I will never come back here no matter what. I had a horrible experience and now have to go somewhere to get my blood drawn again.
My gratitude
Today, as April 7th of 2026 I visited Glenview QD location in Glenview on Compass Street for blood tests. Phlebotomist by name Ericka was very professional and skillful and very friendly. Because was early morning, I felt like she set me for the day with positive thoughts. I felt really lucky to meet Ericka after reading not so friendly reviews on QD site.
I like this location because it's clean and easy to sign in and no wait if you have an appointment or little wait like 5min. I definitely recommend this place and thank you Ericka so much🌷
