Inferior Artificial Plants
I recently ordered artificial plants from Plant Drop with the expectation of receiving products of excellent quality. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed to find that the items delivered were of a significantly inferior standard.
When I requested to return the products, I was informed that they had been specially ordered for our company and were therefore non-refundable. This condition, however, was not communicated at any stage prior to purchase.
While my initial interactions with the company were pleasant, my experience following payment has been unsatisfactory. Based on this experience, I would advise others to exercise caution when considering using their services.

When I contacted customer support they told me I had missed their 72-hour window (not documented anywhere) by one day. I sent clear photos showing extensive leaf damage which did not happen overnight. They still offered no help or remedy.
I love plant delivery services because they typically are plant lovers who stand by their product. I have never received a visibly sick plant or such an unhelpful response.
If a company ships infested plants, especially when they cost hundreds of pounds, and then refuses to take responsibility, I will not buy from them again.

Extremely poor customer service and zero accountability
I had a very disappointing experience with Plant Drop. During delivery, their driver damaged my son’s toy car while carrying a large, heavy plant pot with one hand, unpackaged. The item was placed in my garage, not inside my home, as the company falsely claimed in their reply.
Their public response is misleading and misquotes me. I did not describe the driver as “trustworthy” or having “done a great job.” I only said he was friendly, and that it would have been awkward and inappropriate to confront him alone in my garage after the damage occurred. To twist that into a compliment is extremely unprofessional.
For full transparency, I’ve attached a screenshot from my original email to the company. As clearly shown, I said that while the driver was friendly, his handling of the delivery was unprofessional and my property was damaged as a result. The company’s response misquotes this entirely, twisting my words to defend their staff. This kind of misrepresentation is incredibly disappointing and unprofessional.
Instead of accepting responsibility, the company tried to blame me for allowing entry and suggested I should have confronted the driver. which is an entirely unreasonable expectation. I followed the proper process by emailing photos and details immediately after the incident, yet I was met with defensiveness, not accountability.
Plant Drop’s handling of this situation has been disappointing from start to finish: dismissive, inaccurate, and unwilling to take responsibility. This experience has completely eroded my trust in the company. I would not recommend them to anyone who values professionalism, honesty, or basic customer care.
I raised the issue professionally and provided photos, yet their communication has been defensive, inaccurate, and lacking accountability. They even tried to shift the blame onto me for allowing entry rather than acknowledging the damage caused by their employee.
This company’s handling of the situation has been deeply disappointing, not just because of the damage, but because of their attitude toward a legitimate complaint. I wouldn’t recommend Plant Drop based on their lack of integrity, poor customer service, and disregard for responsibility.

Non responsive customer service. A plant where all the top branches had snapped off and leaves were dead and a very expensive pot that doesn’t look anything like the photo… I’m not happy!

Bought 3 planters for outdoor use. Lovely strong product. Unfortunately one was damaged on arrival but the customer service team were brilliant and arranged a replacement immediately.

A business that deserves to fail
I bought a small plant pot with a one click Apple pay transaction. It was 25% more expensive than my normal supplier who was out of stock. A further £50 was deducted for delivery that I was not informed of prior to one click purchase. The pot arrived on a pallet. I am disabled with primary progressive MS so cannot walk/stand easily but I could lift the pot with one hand that was delivered in a huge lorry and delivered to the door with a loader. I pleaded with the driver to take the pallet away but they refused. The pallet weighs at least 100 times more than the pot and is too heavy for one person to lift. I live in an apartment so now I have a huge problem to get rid of the pallet. I can only say that this business deserves to fail.

Taken for a ride by plant drop
I have had the most frustrating time with this company. I wanted to redo my balcony and booked their "home consultation" which was described as n up to 1 hour session discussing whay i wanted, taking measurements, pictures, and coming up with a plan for the space. In reality it was barely 20 minutes and no photographs or measurements were taken. In the end, I was provided with a list of plants and pots to buy and I put in the large order following this recommendation of over £1500. However, when the order arrived, there were several mix ups. One pot on the order was far too large for the plant so the nursery didn't pot it up, and another pot was smaller than the one I had paid for, and ultimately together they were all too much for the small space I had. I asked to return the large pot and plant that hadn't been planted, and also be refunded the different for the other mix ups, a total which amlunted to around £850, and I suggested that the price of the consultation should also be refunded given a consultation is designed to prevent mixups like this from happening. I was told to wait until the plant was collected which was fair enough. Nearly a week later, the plant was collected. A few days later I asked where the refund was and was told it had been sent on the day of collection, and to keep an eye on my account. I said it had not been received and could this be investigated. No response. A few days later, I chased again, and got a response saying the name hadn't matched the details so it hadn't been sent. I told them the details were correct, and was assured it would get sent immediately. Which it hadn't. It is now nearly 2 weeks since the plant was collected and I have not received a refund of this substantial amount of money. I have chased twice since I confirmed the details were correct and have not received the refund nor a reply. I cannot help but feel taken for a ride by this company. At no point has their customer service apologised for the mix ups or the delayed refund either, so I'm feeling quite put out and frustrated and researching other options to get my money back. I would suggest avoiding this company if you are looking for plants.
