Family weekend at Barton Hall
Went for a family weekend at Barton Hall. The centre and the staff we encountered were great and we loved the free swim time, but the group sizes were too large with not enough instructors and so for several of the activities we spent over an hour waiting for a turn which was over in less than a minute. We enjoyed having a weekend away as a family, but it was an expensive way to not have very much time doing the activities. Hopefully.PGL will go back to their previous model which had smaller group sizes and meant the activities could run better.

Amazing PGL family holiday!
We went on a family holiday with PGL. Stayed in a magical listed castle in Northumberland. Excellent value, brilliant staff and soooooo much fun! Also very good at managing dietary needs

Hunter absolutely loved his time at…
Hunter absolutely loved his time at PGL! This was his second time going and he enjoyed it just as much as the first. He came home full of stories about everything he’d done and had such a brilliant time. I’d definitely recommend PGL and I’m sure it won’t be his last visit!

Fun and fulfilling experience
We wanted to commend PGL for being so well organised and diligent. We particularly like the high staff to kids ratio and it puts parents at ease for ensuring the boys will be well looked after. The food was a massive hit with the boys especially breakfast. One boy even woke up this morning saying they miss the PGL breakfast.
We are already looking to book another trip for next year!

PGL gave our son a confidence boost!
Our son had a difficult year at school and his confidence was low. He came away The PGL from the stay at PGL with boosted confidence and a sense of achievement. He said he would go again without being prompted, which is unusual for him. The leader was excellent and checked in with us twice during his stay, which we really appreciated.

Fabulous Brownies Weekend
We had a fabulous weekend with a group of 23 Brownies.
The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, helpful and great with the girls.
Great range of well planned activities, many of which really challenged our girls. The activity leaders all engaged well with the girls to support and encourage them.
Accommodation was basic but comfortable for both children and adults.
All our individual needs were met.
The only negative is that the food is edible, but not great.
Overall a good value and enjoyable weekend. Thank you.

Highly recommend if you like activity holidays and allowing kids to be kids and off elecronics.
Was amazing. Many activities to do, and option to change if needed. Staff were great, food was surprisingly great and accommodation was clean and spacious. Safe area for kids to play, space for adults to mingle to and still be able to see the children. Definitely recommend and would go again.

My two daughters spent a week at PGL…
My two daughters spent a week at PGL Pony Camp and absolutely loved it! The staff were fantastic, friendly and very inclusive, making everyone feel welcome and involved. The girls had an amazing time with the ponies and all the activities, and came home so happy and full of stories. They’re already asking when they can go back! We would definitely recommend PGL Pony Camp.

My daughter is 15 and thoroughly…
My daughter is 15 and thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Bawdsy Manor. She was reluctant to go initially as she was worried about making friends but she was encouraged to do this and had a lovely time.
Her group leader was fun, friendly and welcoming. There was a great range of activities that were offered during the day and evening. My daughter also really enjoyed the food.
I thought that her break was great value for money. Three meals a day, accommodation and activities were all included and as her break was during the school holidays, when most things are so expensive, this made it even more reasonably priced. The staff to child ratio was also good.
My daughter enjoyed learning new skills and about teamwork and that she found it easy to make friends

Confident, engaged and excited; gained independence and enjoyed new experiences.
I dropped my daughter off - she had just turned 8, and she was understandably a little apprehensive at first. However, within ten minutes she was happily joining in with the games and activities, which made me feel comfortable leaving her there. She came home having had a fantastic time and, in just three days, seemed noticeably more mature and confident. She was excited to have tried new activities and was proud of the experiences she had gained - especially going all the way to the top of the climbing wall.

Fantastic experience
My daughter went to PGL knowing no one else. She has the best time. She was kept busy with a variety of activities. She was challenged but loved every moment. Precious memories she will always have.

Huge dissapoinment
My daughter was very disappointed during her holiday at PGL Marchants Hill. She asked to terminate it and take her home after just 3 days, the same did her new friend. Very poor activity arrangements, long gaps between, not much to do. The boiler broke and no hot shower for 3 mornings, absolutely unacceptable. Waste of money and stress for a child.

However the food was very poor in choice. If it wasnt for pasta they would have gone hungry. Bacon at breakfast very fatty.

Excellent range of activities, great location and most importantly wonderful staff. My son and I really enjoyed this holiday and will definitely be going again.
I would recommend this holiday without any hesitation to anyone who wants to have fun with their children.
