One star is one star too many
From the very start, the process was less than ideal. I had to chase two salespeople just to buy the car—a red flag I now regret not heeding. After flying from Heathrow to Aberdeen to pick up an 11-month-old pre-registered demo Range Rover, the transaction initially appeared smooth. However, the issues that followed were both wholly unacceptable for a car of this calibre.
The car had clearly been smoked in. Initially, I dismissed the possibility, thinking it absurd for a Range Rover, but by the time I was halfway into my 500-mile drive home, the smell of smoke was overwhelming. I had to stop mid-journey to buy an air freshener to make the rest of the nine-hour trip bearable.
The problems didn’t stop there. Five hours into the drive, the radio stopped responding, the wireless phone connection made my phone overheat and shut down and the car needed a software update. The key battery also required immediate replacement. Why were these issues not picked up in its presale checks? I wonder if they were actually competed properly if at all.
Two days after arriving home, I spent £180 on a professional valet to address the smoke smell, during which the valeter found cigarette ash in the rear armrest (which I saw). To make matters worse, the valet also pointed out multiple scratches on the car that I had specifically been assured by the salesperson would be addressed by the “workshop” prior to purchase.
When I raised these issues, Peter Vardy offered £60 as a goodwill gesture toward the valet cost, which I declined, stating that I would rather return the car entirely. Only then was the full valet cost reimbursed, but the explanation offered—that the previous driver “no longer works for the company”—is both unsatisfactory and appalling. This was supposed to be a demo car, turns out it wasn’t, it was used daily by a member of staff, I guess the mileage should have been warning enough.
A week later, I am still waiting for my finance reimbursement, despite sending two follow-up emails.
The scratches were not picked up by the assessor even though the sales person pointedly said he could see them when we spoke on the phone and after I specifically questioned the condition of the car before the purchase. The response from
Peter Vardy is that they “weren’t noticed” by the assessor which leads me to believe the assessor is a figment of Peter Vardys service departments imagination or this assessor can’t do the fundamentals of their job, this is also so true of the company who valets the cars before sale. I have received nothing more than weak apologies for what amounts to multiple failures in quality control and customer service.
This experience has been nothing short of disgraceful. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Shockingly Poor Service in Peter Vardy Landrover Aberdeen
Our Evoke was due a service and we had to book it in 6 weeks in advance, we told them the reversing camera wasn't working repeatedly before it went it. The car was to be picked up and delivered back to the house. Not only did Peter Vardy fail to return the car, but when we went to collect it the reversing camera was STILL not working, £1200 later and the car is still faulty PLUS needs booked in again to repair an HV heater fault which they can't address for 2 months. Absolutely shocking customer service.

BEWARE STAY AWAY!!
BEWARE STAY AWAY!!! I had previously written a Google review about my fight to get my free service that I was promised before the Hillingdon branch closed which had to go all the way to management at the central team! I finally got my service on the 27th September. The report said the car was fine and the oil had been changed and topped up. However after the service the oil low warning came up. I contacted Peter vardy who said that oil can take time to settle, but it kept happening. So I phoned again and they said to bring it back up so I did mid october. They did a 20 minute check and reassured me that they had done the oil, it was fine and to ignore the message. I knew something wasn't right. So today I got the car independently checked by a local garage that I trust. They said the oil is dangerously low and in their opinion Peter vardy hadn't touched it, therefore Peter vardy sent me away with a dangerous car!!! I am looking to get all costs reimbursed

Bought a corsa in Feb. Gearbox packed in within a month. Had the car for 3 weeks with no curtesy car. Wrong number plate was fitted o had to change myself. Now wet belt has gone , need new engine . Awaiting reply on this . Terrible garage

Amazing service from the Motherwell…
Amazing service from the Motherwell branch. I needed a new car suitable for my new job to exchange for my existing one which wasn’t going to cut it over the longer term. Kelly Bates was really engaging. She listened to what I needed the car for and what my budget was. She was able to identify a car within the stock which would suit my needs exactly, explain why this car was the one for me and smoothly take me through the entire process until I took delivery of the car. No upselling and no messing about which I appreciated greatly. 2 weeks later and I’m delighted with the car. It’s worked out exactly as Kelly advised it would. Amazing customer care from start to finish. I can’t thank her enough. 👍

I was looking for a replacement car after mine was written off in an accident. I emailed @Kelly Bates ( my car had only been in for a service and MOT the week before and Kelly had dealt with me when collecting my keys) I told her my requirements for a new car, what I was looking to pay etc. The next day she had contacted me with a choice of cars which all met my requirements and let me choose. She managed to secure a fantastic deal on my particular choice and within a week I am now driving a fantastic car that suits me perfectly.
