Terrible customer service. I agree with all other 1 star reviews and have similar experiences. They sent me a used/damage board instead of a new board like I ordered. They did not send me a charger and have refused to help in any way. Outrageous scam. Will also be reporting. Awaiting a response again.

Starting my second summer with my ownboard w1a pro and i have not had any issues.(well just 1 and it got fixed promptly. The urethane on one motor prematurely used so after getting in touch with them they sent over a replacement hub motor and everything has been fine since.this was summer 2018.)
Considering getting a kit (since i have an extra board) so that my gf can also ride with me instead of her bike.(harassing her to learn how to ride.)

Everything was great upon receiving my board. It arrived promptly from the US warehouse, even in time for Christmas - as it was a last min purchase for my husband. After using the board for about 1 week, though, the rear hub wheel loosened. We tried to fix it on our own by replacing the wheel with one of the backups it came with, but it loosened again shortly after. I contacted ownboard via email, and after waiting for what felt like forever for a response they asked if we replaced the hub wheel - I responded that yes, we tried this, but I believe the board is defective and would like a full exchange. Then, after waiting several more days, they responded that, instead of replacing the board, they are sending just a replacement hub wheel! So, it arrived, and my husband and I tried to remove the whole rear hub motor cover to replace the wheel and re-do the wiring but, lo and behold, THE REAR SCREWS ARE STRIPPED! So we cannot even replace the wheel. I have tried getting in touch via WhatsApp, email, and wechat, and have explained that this cannot be fixed. But instead of finally agreeing to send a replacement board they ask that I FIND A “FRIEND” to fix it, or that I send it to some person in Texas who “can help.” I’m sorry, but after spending $500 I shouldn’t also have to cover shipping to TX and then not even know who this person is that I’m sending it to, or if I’ll even get it back in working condition. This company is a scam. They refuse to stand behind their product even when it is defective and clearly needs to be replaced. I cannot even get back in touch with the representative to continue fighting for a replacement board. If I could give 0 stars I would. Will be reporting Ownboard to the BBB, and placing negative reviews across all other outlets as well. DO NOT BUY- STAY AWAY and save yourself the money and the headache.

I ordered my board just over two weeks ago and have yet to receive any shipping updates cannot get customer support to respond to any of my emails. I was very excited to order this product as people said the customer support used to be very good. If it was it is not anymore. I would not recommend ordering this product I believe their website is now a scam! At this point I just want my money back.

I love it! Its a great board. The power display is very useful. The Samsung 6.0 is a great deal with a lot of range and value!

The only things i would improve is the handle. It needs padding. Also I use a product called shred lights. The front lights fit fine. But the rear lights I couldn't attach like on my other board due to the wires being in the way.

Hopefully Ownboard will also offer replaceable wheels for the hub motors soon.

With a few improvements and perhaps a high performance 30+ mph version in the future. I will continue to be a Happy Ownboard customer.

I have been skating and snowboard for 23 years; since I was 7 years old. I would consider myself to be an expert on both. Today, I got my first electric board - the Ownboard W1A - theyre so amazing! its a whole new experience - they're so fast and allow so much freedom on flat land/ hills. I had a hard time choosing between the ownboard, wowgo, and meepo. I am glad I went with ownboard; this thing is so much fun and 5 stars in every category. if you have any doubts or you were like me and contemplating which brand to buy - go with the ownboard, I promise it will be the best purchase you've made! Great product guys, keep up the good work!
