Shocking Delivery Service OneDayOnly and Makro
We have had the most shocking service, communication and unwillingness to take responsibility from OneDayOnly and their partner, Makro. We ordered a Creepy Crawly through OneDayOnly last Monday, 1st June. It was supposed to be delivered Monday, 8th June. We have had no communication about its delivery. When we tried the Makro Call Centre it was worse than calling Home Affairs with us being passed from pillar to post (apparently now a third party supplier is involved) and no one taking responsibility or showing an ounce of customer orientation. Then suddenly, five days after delivery date, we check the Makro portal and see our order is cancelled and we will only receive a refund in 3-5 business days. No direct communication with us as customers. We will not be making any further purchases through OneDayOnly as they don't take responsibility and neither it seems do their partners. Very, very disappointing.

After several frustrating experiences both my own and a friend’s my advice is simple: don’t buy anything from OneDayOnly that is electronic, expensive, fragile, or likely to need repair or return.
The problem is not necessarily the purchase itself; it’s what happens if something goes wrong. The repair/refund process is, in my experience, atrocious: slow, unclear, inefficient, and deeply frustrating.
For small, low-risk items that you know you won’t need to return, it may be fine. But for anything more expensive or temperamental, I would strongly recommend buying from Takealot instead. Their return policy is clear, efficient, and far easier to navigate.
Be warned.
First and Last Order with One Day Only
User-friendly website and competitive prices, but that does not make up for poor-quality products, excessive delivery delays, and a frustrating return process. Having to pay extra to return defective or low-quality items is unacceptable. Our first experience with One Day Only was extremely disappointing, and we will not be returning customers.

The site is good and extremely aggressive marketing although when order is placed delivery is a mess. It takes longer than Shein or Temu. You cannot contact one day only its only a mail and when you complain the response from Jesse Leigh was so fill of excuses and uncertainty.

I am posting this as a warning to other consumers considering purchasing from OneDayOnly.
I purchased an electric scooter in November 2025. The item was faulty and was returned on 2 January 2026. As of now, close to two months later, the matter is still unresolved.
Despite complying fully with OneDayOnly’s returns process:
The product has been in their and the supplier’s possession since early January
I have had to repeatedly follow up to receive any updates
No proactive communication has been provided
No refund has been issued, despite a refund request being made within six months of purchase
In terms of the Consumer Protection Act (Section 56), consumers are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair for defective goods within six months. I requested a refund well within this period, yet I have been told that my request allegedly falls outside the CPA timeframe, which is incorrect.
Consumers should be aware that:
Returns can take months to resolve
Refund requests may be delayed or disputed
Communication is reactive rather than proactive
I am still awaiting:
Confirmation that my refund is being processed
A clear date for when the refund will reflect
Until this matter is resolved, I strongly caution other consumers to carefully consider the risk when purchasing high-value items from OneDayOnly.
The wrong product was delivered
The wrong product was delivered. I notified them and the product was return in it's original packaging (I did not open it). ODO said they can't send the correct product, the supplier 1st needs to assess the product and requires 4-7 business days. After 8 business days (23 Feb 2026) and no feedback, I told ODO to refund me. I still don't have my money. I will never order from ODO again, pathetic.

I placed an order on the 23rd of January, today is on the 4th of Feb. When I placed the order the estimated delivery was 5-10 working days and now when I check it says 10-20 day. I have not received any communication about my order or any updates for that matter. I reached out to customer support and I was told by Casey that they deliver what they have, when they have it.

SCAM ALERT – onedayonly.co.za Is Selling FAKE Medicube Products
I bought a Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask from onedayonly.co.za and compared it to a real one. The difference is obvious.
The one from onedayonly.co.za is fake. The packaging colour is wrong, the text is blurry and incorrect, there is no safety seal, the tube and lid are different, the expiry date printing is wrong, and the factory codes do not match the real product. It even comes with a cheap applicator that the real product does not include.
This is not original Medicube. Selling fake skincare is dangerous and unacceptable.
I strongly warn people to avoid buying Medicube products from onedayonly.co.za.

The quality is completely inconsistent with the description and price. A reasonable consumer would not regard this as a heavy-duty hose by any standard.

Selling Damaged and Defective Goods
I have now purchased two items from OneDayOnly, and both arrived damaged or defective, which is completely unacceptable.
Order #7526068 – Orman TV Stand (R12,999.00):
The drawers arrived broken. Rather than going through the hassle of returns for an item that should never have left the warehouse in that condition, I had to drill and repair them myself.
Order #8228297 – GTZ Self-Balancing Hoverboard:
This was bought as a Christmas gift for my 5-year-old son. When he opened it, the hoverboard did not turn on at all. His Christmas excitement turned into disappointment instantly. STILL WAITING FOR A RESONSE HERE AS I WANT A REFUND!!
Two consecutive orders with serious issues points to poor quality control and a disregard for customers. Selling damaged or faulty goods—especially at premium prices—is unacceptable. This has completely eroded my trust in OneDayOnly, and I will be extremely hesitant to purchase from them again.
OneDayOnly Don’t care about delivery dates !
I ordered a case of wine on the 25th November 2025 and after noticing that the tracking (from Fastway) details noted it had been shipped and delivered, I raised a query with customer service on the 12th of December.
I was told to be patient as they need confirmation from their logistics provider.
After following up on the 15th and the 16th I received a similar response as on the 17th of December .. to be patient !
It is now the 22nd of December with no progress - despite following up - no refund, no delivery !

Lost my order and refusing to help me.
It has been a month since I placed an order and still have not received it.
The frustration lies in the fact they dont have any phone numbers to contact and force you through an email ticket platform, which is a lot easier for them to hide behind.
I am on my 3rd ticket logged with them have received radio silence.
False Advertising
Most of their products are falsely advertised and when you return it, they take a R100 collection fee. Also, worst service I've ever received regarding something that is not what I ordered. They tried redelivering it 2 times after saying "It's in perfect condition" and refused to actually check the fact that it's not the same product advertised. This app is basically a scam.
