We had 2 front doors, 2 sets of french doors and 17 windows from Norrsken at a cost of around £55k (triple-glazed, alu-clad, etc) installed when renovating our house and adding an annexe on the side for elderly parents. Due to the great reviews, we had hoped that choosing Norrsken would reduce the risk of causing any unnecessary stress - which was one of our main objectives with such a big project.

Unfortunately, although the windows and doors are of high quality, the installation was a complete shambles. They sent a massive team to complete it in one day, which seemed crazy considering the amount of work involved. The installers were clearly in a rush and not all of them experienced enough to handle such an undertaking. As a result, quite a few mistakes were made which have needed rectifying since.

When we were then visited by the chap who finishes the silicone, he too did a really poor job on many of the fillings. Initially, he told us the installation had been done so poorly that he couldnt start that day (openings not finished properly or prepared for final silicone job).

When he returned after that had been sorted, there was an issue with our builder not leaving sufficient scaffolding for him in places. Rather than raise this with us at the time he carried on and used that as an excuse afterwards for a shoddy job around some of the windows and doors. The silicone (we colour matched to ensure a neat finish) looks like it was done in a very rushed fashion, including around both front doors! He told us that was as good as it could be as we had stone walls in those places, so it's not as easy as block and render. The silicone had left big stains on the stonework and hadn't been smoothed properly like it should be. It's very lumpy, has clear tools marks all over and plenty of gaps have been left. We have seen plenty of good jobs locally with other (stone) buildings and have had professional window fitters scoff at such a poor job - especially considering the premium cost.

Norrsken did agree that it was not anywhere near their standards and tried their best to rectify the problem, but once silicone is there it's very hard to alter. Some windows have been improved and they did manage to remove much of the staining around the doors, but one window in particular would need more scaffolding and they didn't seem too keen to even attempt that one.

They sent a director, who was very nice, but eventually the best the company could do was offer £500 in compensation - less than 1% of what we paid them!! This was rejected immediately as it would cost a great deal more to put it right. We were so very disappointed with the whole affair as we put a great deal of effort and expense into making our new home look incredible. No further offer was made.

A few months into a both sets of french doors have let water in. To be fair, the engineers have come out each time to fix the problem but it needed about 5 attempts at one of them. Again, it felt like these had been thrown in at speed rather than carefully installed in the first place. Exactly what we'd hoped to avoid by choosing Norrsken.

Doors do now seem to be watertight, but silicone has started to come away in places now. Plus the poor workmanship will always be noticed when we look at our front doors and that bedroom window.

Did want to give 1 star initially, but the products are generally very good and they have responded quickly to the water ingress issues so gain an extra star for each of those points. Such a shame as it was so easily avoidable.

We met with Nick Austin at Norrsken’s Poole showroom to discuss and plan the windows for our renovation as we were really keen to use the Alu-clad triple glazed passive house quality windows. We ended up going with another company and it’s my biggest regret. The other company over promised on price and the service and product has been really disappointing. My one comment would be that there is a very real and measurable advantage with opting for a company that manufactures, supplies and installs the windows. When I do my next project I will, without doubt, go for Norrsken windows.

Norrsken installed all windows and doors in my self-build home in 2022. Any issues during the build were quickly resolved by them, including ones caused by other trades on site.
After 4 years a large sliding patio door had become difficult to move. They sent a repairman who quickly identified the issue and fixed it immediately , no mess and no bother. Terrific service from the company.

Norrsken fitted our windows and doors ten years ago and they have performed brilliantly. They were good vlue. And they still look great.

There have been a few small glitches which Norrsken have responded to quickly and generally free of charge.

They are a friendly company and highly recommended.

All triple glazing in our self build Passiv haus is Norrsken and we have been incredibly impressed with the product on all counts since installation 7 years ago. We recently had need for some after sales service for a loose seal/gasket on one of the patio sliders. Amy, the Customer Support Manager, immediately organised a visit and when Norrksen's team of four (yes, the doors are very large and heavy!) arrived to replace the seal, we could not have been more impressed. The guys were instantly friendly, courteous and respectful of our property, and set to work on a very hot day to remove the door. This was no mean feat and all precautions were taken to ensure its safe removal. Two of the team then worked diligently to remove and replace the seal, taking lots of care and undertaking some supplementary future proofing work at the same time. The very experienced team leader also noticed a slight looseness on the handle which he tightened up for us. All in all, a great job and the door now operates very smoothly in comparison with recent months before we became aware there was an issue with the seal. We would highly recommend the Norrsken product and their after sales.

We had 11 windows replaced in March 2026. The work went well and there were no problems whatsoever with the pre-install process and the install. Norrsken are very thorough and we needed an asbestos survey due to our house being constructed prior to November 1999. We weren't in a massive hurry in terms of timescales and Norrsken and Marju were very patient with us. We had triple-glazed aluminium clad windows fitted and we are very satisfied with them. I was worried about a granite work surface in the kitchen that was flush with the front kitchen window but the survey sorted out the issue and all the windows were fitted without any problems. The installers, Gianni & his team were all very good and even helped me load the old windows to take them to the dump --- Shhhh don't tell Norrsken! After the install I even got a £720.00 rebate for not requiring a platform. A very good company who have definitely lived up to their reputation. No problems at all in recommending Norrsken.

We have had our windows for 6 years now and are very pleased with the performance. Recently we had cause to contact the after sales support who were excellent and very helpful in sorting our problem.

I tried to interest them in supplying one French door and one wide garden door with side light, but they were very clear they were not interested, stating a minimum order of £15k, even if it was supply only. At least they were swift about stating an absence of interest, hence two stars.

I highly recommend this company. If you're looking for premium windows Norrsken are essential for you to consider. Their products are beautifully designed and exceptionally well made. They are rightly proud of their products and services and work hard to ensure your complete satisfaction. They listen and work with you from start to finish, including great aftercare. Our project was complex to design and install and they offered inovative and effective solutions. We are delighted with our windows, money very well spent.

My wife and I are delighted with the doors and windows supplied by Norrsken. They are beautifully made, super smooth to operate and look so impressive. All our dealings with Norrsken, from our first contact to the installation has been first class, nothing has been too much trouble. Everyone has been friendly, professional and extremely helpful. We would be happy to recommend Norrsken to anyone looking for this type of product.

Norrsken stood out from the other window companies that we were considering due to the quality of the product, the depth of information available, responsiveness of the sales team and the ability to have Norrsken handle the install as well as supply the windows. The windows themselves are of the quality promised and while not cheap, represent good value for money. No issues to date (installed about three months ago).
Ours is a deep retrofit project so thermal performance was a key criteria for us.

New build, The doors and windows are fantastic, the lift and slide doors are on another level. The quality is in my opinion the best on the market, beating nordan, rationel and velfac on quality and cost! The customer experience at quote stage wasn't the same as Norrsken, you get a different vibe. The team have been great, such a really good bunch of people, starting with Nick Austin, literally jumped out at us walking around a show in Exeter, such a lovely honest hard working guy, nick worked very hard to get the deal over the line! Credit to him. Petra is great to work with, very thorough, we did have a small hick up with the order due to a typo, but she sorted it. The fitting team which was organised by Debbie, she's proper on it! Very good service, and the fitters, well they are just machines, Incredible effort Giani and his guys! We had a small bit of customer care which was dealt with very quickly, thank you Jackie. And lastly, the man, the man that no-one remembers, who makes all the magic happen, the surveyor!!!! Ed, is nothing short of a scientist, this Man is worth every penny, we had a complex wall of glazing on many elevations, everything fits perfectly, perfect margins, just lovely. if you're starting a project, and have a few companies to choose, these are your guys. We look forward to finishing and living with these beautiful windows.

There is so much more to having high quality windows and doors, it’s not just how well they function, perform and how aesthetically pleasing they are … but it’s also the company and people behind them. Norrsken products really are second to none and create a unique statement of quality and style about your home. I’d like to sing the praises of lovely Ami, forever helpful, friendly and obliging, always there to assist and arrange the support we needed, and an unsung hero in the background. I did my research before contacting Norrsken but they had come highly recommended by our Architect for our Passive House self build.
From the first meeting with Nick we felt confident that they were the Company for us.
