Great store selling high quality goods. I’ve bought clothes and tent - all great gear, friendly helpful staff and good postal service - highly recommended

This is a fantastic company - not only is the clothing 1st class but the customer service is excellent. My order arrived in good time but the colour I ordered was too pale for my needs - my fault, I think. I asked for an exchange pair. My request was dealt with politely and very promptly and a replacement pair despatched the same day. I was also asked if the fit was good or did I need another size? The fit is very true to measurements. I will certainly be buying again

The item was already a way better price than I found anywhere else. I opted for the 3-5 day delivery and it was with me in 2 days. Exceptional service.

Everything from cost, to delivery to customer service was excellent. You can phone these guys which is brilliant these days. I phoned to check why one item hadn't arrived. They checked and told me it was a split delivery and gave me a new tracking number. Unfortunately the items I ordered didn't fit but the return process was smooth. Will definitely shop here again

Called to get some advice on. Hilleberg tents as I was interested in getting one but unsure as to what range to go for and which model and colour.
I ended up talking to someone called Andrew. He had plenty of time for me and clearly had a great product knowledge. Despite spending ages on the phone I needed time to think about it. Later that day I placed my order.
Goods arrived the next day and the free footprint offer was better than any other deal around. Postage was really reasonable and I was delighted with my decision to buy from Nordic Outdoor.
I called up to get info on another product the following day only to be asked if everything went ok with my order? Great service, highly recommended.

Excellent customer service.
Ordered Fjallraven pants last night and only after placing the order did I notice that I had mistakenly ordered the long version of the pants instead of the regular one.
I wrote a letter to customer service asking for an exchange for the correct size and literally a couple of hours later I received a message that everything had been done as I requested and the package had been sent.

We were initially concerned after placing our order with Nordic Outdoor as we received no confirmation email. However, after contacting the company, it appeared there were issues with their ability to communicate with Hotmail accounts. The advisor, Andrew, forwarded me the confirmation immediately. When I had to return the item for an exchange due to sizing, Andrew assisted me with all communication. Delivery was quick and I was massively impressed with the customer service. I can't speak for the in-store service, but the online service is fantastic.

Poor customer journey compared to Blacks or Milletts. Never again

Ordered Friday, delivered Monday. Best price available for a pair of men's Kaipak trousers (nobody else seemed to have Long available!).

I don't leave a lot of these reviews, but so far Nordic Outdoor have sold me two great pairs of Fjallraven trousers, (two separate orders). They were the cheapest retailer of them I could find, and both orders got to me within two or three days.
On my second order, I had ordered the wrong style of trousers, so rang them up and the nice man on the phone (I think his name was Andrew) cancelled the order straight away at my request. I then re-ordered the correct style and they arrived very quickly.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Poor communication with emails ignored. As others state it is only after purchase you find out they refuse refunds given on shop bought returns.
This is not stated before purchase and I feel conned by these bandits.
Avoid them on this basis.

Really bad
I bought a Cabin bag from them, delivery was fast but the packaging EXTREMELY poor, the Bag itself was scratched all over - and I suspect this was a customer return - sold to us as brand New.

Customer service is non existent - don't even try

Best thing about them is the wide range of clothing from a variety of different manufacturers, many of which are not sold by other outdoor clothing shops.
We have used both the Keswick branch and the one in London. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.
I had not seen the returns policy so that is worth noting but if you are sure of your purchase then these people are well worth a look.

I purchased Thelma 8 Didriksons jacket on 28 April in St James Quarters in Edinburgh. I noticed that the poppers at the bottom of the jacket are not aligned (which looks awful) and fibre is coming out in some places. Went back to the shop and was told this is a minor issue. They couldn’t do an exchange nor refund and the staff were rude. They saw the fault (even using measuring tape) and they were trying to deny that it is a manufacturer’s fault. I paid for the jacket £209. The worst experience ever! Staff soo rude!

BEWARE. I bought a rucksack only to discover that my wife had bought an identical one elsewhere. 10 minutes later I returned to the store in Covent Garden that she wouldn’t refund my money only give me a credit note valid for just one year. There is nothing I want from this store. Moreover the woman who served me delivered this information with some glee and took an age to give me a store card. With this policy I am surprised that in this day and age they have managed to survive.

Do not purchase your Gränsfors Bruk Axe from Nordic Outdoor.

This is the first and last time I’d shop at Nordic Outdoor. I purchased a Gränsfors Bruk Axe on 3rd Feb 2023, my order arrived on the 7th and subsequently an email was sent to Nordic Outdoor on the same day explaining there were issues with my order, I’ve yet to receive a response.
There are three reasons why I wouldn’t shop with Nordic Outdoor.

1. The Small Forest Axe was supplied with surface rust. I can only assume axe stock is not stored in the correct conditions at Nordic Outdoor.

2. The postage packaging for my order was unbelievable, I’ve never seen anything like it. Whoever at Nordic Outdoor packaged my order clearly didn’t care. From what I received, it would appear the packager grabbed the first bit of scrap cardboard from another product to wrap my order. The scrap piece of cardboard was folded around my order then taped up with brown tape no box, just a bit of scrap.

3. Unsurprising my “Gränsfors Bruk, Axe Care Kit” which arrived on the same order was damaged, the box and the product itself are damaged and cannot be given as the gift they were intended.

I would question the Axe’s integrity given point 2 and I’m following this up with the manufacturer. In summery I would advise you to purchase from another Gränsfors Bruk supplier, don’t be taken in by Nordic Outdoor's nice looking website.

Went into the London Covenant Garden store last week to buy some items, the staff were all exceptionally friendly and the products we bought have been comfortable, and great quality so far.

Paid for next day delivery for a spltting maul (£171.90 all in) as I had paid for the labour to shift recently felled trees. Maul turned up 4 days later - labour costs lost. I wrote to the Nordic Customer Services team a week ago - no response. I wrote again today and they responded that they had lost a load of "tickets" - which is amazing when they are all digital tickets. They told me "Next Day" doesn't mean next day - if I wanted it quicker than Next Day Delivery I needed to pay for Next Working Day Service (?!?!?!?) and they have small print that covers this too...

Asked about my 5% first order discount, more small print that it doesn't cover their Axe range. Basically told tough because their policies mean they cannot help.

I would be very wary of their small print if you're going to buy from them - I see others have fallen foul of it as well. They also don't have any sense of customer service. They have the ability to help but they choose NOT to. I choose not to recommend this company and I choose not to buy from them again. We all have choices...

Found this company very competent, fast delivery..3 days to Ireland..item as described. Gransfors Bruks small forest axe..same price as all other sites..BE AWARE OF IMPORT DUTIES..axe cost €150...another €50 for duties..although this has nothing to do with Nordic Outdoor..
Overall i would reccomended this company. 👍

I ordered several Sporks last week. The website was excellent, price was very competitive and the order process from payment to delivery was swift and painless.

Great company to deal with & very happy to buy again from and recommend a fellow small business. Much happier doing this than funding Mr Bezos' slave labour program.

Can't comment on problem solving as there was none to solve.
