Auran Sharma is a very apt salesman, not only is he extremely helpful but also goes that extra mile to ensure you get a fair deal not only with your trade in price but also your new buy.

Auran is a lovely person to deal with not your typical pushy salesman, Auran allows you time to look at the cars and make up your mind. Then when it comes to actually buying the car he will ensure you get the best you can for your money. He guides you with extras and his recommendations are always genuine.

Absolutely impossible to contact their service department, phoned at approx 10:30 got an answerphone, left a message no reply by 14:30. Phoned again was told by receptionist he would go and tell them to ring me, no phone call at 17:30 ,not the first time I have not been able to contact their service department. This is a shame as I have had a very good experiences with them up to now. They are letting themselves down.

Told my insurance company it was £7000 for repairs and will be total loss. Got parts list from bodyshop. wouldnt show what part prices were or tell me what parts are for. E.G listed was "nut, nut, nut, bolt, particle filter, rear bumper, badge" yet there was no physical damage to the car. Went down to garage to inspect vehicle myself and alot of the "damage" reported by them wasnt actually true. Honestly annoyed at this as it was to be a trusted and authorised garage by my insurance company. also there seems to be extra milage on my car. roughly 200 miles extra. disappointing. will be avoiding this company in future.

I recently took my car to NK Motors for an MOT, which it failed due to needing two new front tyres. That part was completely fair and expected. What wasn’t fair, however, was the initial quote I was given: £465 for the replacement.

After questioning this price, I was told they would “see what they could do.” Just six minutes later, I received a call back offering the same work for £375. A £90 drop in such a short space of time doesn’t inspire confidence, it raises serious concerns. It strongly suggests that the original quote was inflated, and only reduced once challenged.

Even at £375, the price remains noticeably higher than well-known tyre specialists, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Customers shouldn’t have to negotiate or push back just to receive something closer to a reasonable price.

This experience has unfortunately cost NK Motors my trust and my future business. Fair and transparent pricing should be the standard from the outset, not something customers have to fight for.

I'd just like to say that I've never before experienced such a kind and caring sales person who went above and beyond to make me feel important not just to sell a vehicle but treated me as a friend. He was honest and didn't put any pressure on. Whatever decision I made, he supported me, so thank you massively Auran from the the Derby branch, I'm loving my new vehicle.

Wish I looked at reviews before, nothin but problems and they don’t care about warranty work and say just call Kia direct if you have a problem. On hold for average 30 mins each time I call them! It’s all about selling and up selling service plans. Left a valuable person with out a car

The sales rep who sold me the car promised, as part of the sale, that they would include a service and repair a number of scratches. When I collected the car, the service had not been carried out and not all of the scratches had been repaired. This meant I had to revisit and sit for two hours while they finally completed the scratch work.
All staff backed the sales rep (Ali) even though he admitted to promising the service, and because it wasn’t in writing, they told me there was nothing they could do.
When complaining to the manager, Simon, all he did was offer me the option to purchase a service plan, which would cost more than a local KIA dealership (great customer service). To add insult to injury, five weeks after the purchase I received an email telling me the service was due and asking if I would like to book the car in to have this carried out (talk about rubbing salt into the wound).
All I can recommend is that if you deal with this garage, make sure everything is in writing and do not pay for the car until you are completely satisfied with everything.

These guys are a bunch of lier s, sold me a car ,took a £500 deposit, knowing there was no car to sell me, told me the car got damaged to ns doors i asked for pics , they sent me another car which was damaged to os, total different car wouldn't buy off them please go somewhere else why take a da deposit and hold for a week car dealers they call themselves, it should be rogue traders, plus I lost £212 on train fares. And also the car is just passed its mot its on gov site have have proof , emails, pics , just had a email, today after speaking to Simon,27th Feb, still can't tell me me about false pics of car, the was described a as a lot of structural damage, .now the car there saying it was sold on , repaired , mot in a week, I thought i was getting some were speaking to Simon, I like , some people put your trust in these guys ,

I purchased a second hand car back in August 2025. On the test drive there was a knock, which we were assured would be sorted before we collected, after a service. Once collected the knock persisted. After returning at least 3 times, countless phone calls, lots of chasing and finally a new steering rack, the car is fixed. This was January 2026.
The 3 month warranty was up and I'd barely had the car so requested a fresh warranty. We've been courteous, understanding and polite throughout. Sadly we were given excuse after excuse as to why we were waiting for the new warranty. Finally after considering contacting Trading Standards because we felt we'd come to the end of the road, they issued the warranty.
The sale was very smooth but the aftercare a very steep, upward struggle.
Such a shame because the staff were very pleasant.

The five star review reflects the setting for buying a new car at NK Motors, Derby and the staff member we worked with. Auran Sharma gave best care to ensure our needs were met in both purchasing the new car and arranging to offer a good price for the existing car. Was a really good experience from start to finish.

My 2019 Sportage experienced an engine management light illumination, which did not immediately impact its performance. As the vehicle was also due for its MOT, I scheduled an appointment. However, I was informed that due to high demand, no waiting appointments were available, necessitating the vehicle to be left for the entire day. Consequently, I booked the MOT for December 11, 2025, with the understanding that the fault would be addressed prior to the inspection.

Subsequently, my vehicle was at another body shop for a wing repair following an incident. I received notification that the repair would not be completed until Monday, December 15th. I promptly contacted NK to relay this information. I was advised that this was not an issue, but due to their busy schedule, the vehicle would still need to be left with them possibly for the week. The body shop graciously agreed to deliver the vehicle to NK.

I consistently find Jane at the service desk to be cheerful and engaging, which contributes to a very comfortable environment. The other staff members are consistently polite and professional, further enhancing the customer experience. My previous Sportage purchase from another dealership proved to be an unsatisfactory experience. I have learned from this and my next Sportage will be acquired from NK Derby. I note that a charge has been introduced for loan vehicles, which is a minor disappointment as I prefer not to use public transportation. I give 5 stars because I feel like a valued customer.

After looking at a large number of brands and getting poor levels of service from sales staff elsewhere, it was an absolute joy to find someone , who was prepared to listen , advise and treat my wife and I with genuine courtesy and care. We decided on a Kia Sportage and I have been driving for a month before I decided to do this review to get a real feel for the car.
Nothing was too much for Auran and the handover team at NK Motors.
The car is amazing, it drives a dream and I feel confident that I have made the right purchase and even more, that I went through NK Motors and Auran. Other dealers could learn a lot from the team here.
From our first visit, to picking up our car nothing has been too much trouble. Time was taken to let us test drive the car. Time was taken explaining the working of the technology inside by the hand over team and even then Auran came to see us off.
Thank-you for making the purchase enjoyable and special for us. I will definitely recommend NK Motors and their staff and more so , Auran, for good old fashioned care and service that is all too often lacking these day.

Brilliant experience purchasing my car this week 17/12/25 Seat ibiza fr . Mike from the Sheffield dealership was excellent, super friends and helpful no matter what time of the day he was able to get back to me with my questions and help me asap with everything. 10/10 customer service. Everyone in the dealership were lovely and couldn't have done more for me. thank you all so much!

Problems from the start. Electrical issues. They made me feel I was causing the issue. Eventually got my money back.
Huge disappointment !!!

I purchased my Kia Sportage from NK Motors because they provided excellent service from my initial enquiry, to buying the car. I received a very competitive trade in price which met my expectations.
My particular thanks to Auran and Michelle who made the entire buying experience seamless from start to finish.

NK motors having carried out a full service on my 73 plate Sportage did not report any issues with steering despite its feeling vague, a week after the service I asked if they could look at again they stated it would need to be booked in for a diagnostic check which would cost 150.00 and would not be able to be done until 4-5 weeks time. I spoke to service manager who agreed to see if the steering felt slack and listen to the knocking noise from steering rack, he agreed it was not right and need to be booked in but would not be fast tracked and it would still be the 4-5 weeks plus £150 inspection . I have since taken it to TMS Kia who booked it in within days and identified the car needed a new steering rack under warranty.

Extremly nice staff, nothing was a hassle, good prep of car and proffesional throughout. Well done Arun and ream.
