I recently had a fitted bedroom…
Updated 06.04.2026
Following your response, I think it is important to clarify a few points for anyone considering using this company.
At no stage in my original review did I state that the installation was carried out in accordance with the drawings. That is a position the company has introduced. My concern has always been about the usability of the finished room.
Despite multiple surveys — during which my bed was present and measured — the clearance above the bed is insufficient for normal use. It is not possible to sit up comfortably and I have already made contact with the units when getting out of bed. In practical terms, the bed area is not usable as intended.
I first raised this issue on 18 February. As of today, 6 April, no one from the company has attended site to inspect the problem. In that time, 11 emails have been exchanged, 7 of which I have had to initiate in order to chase a response.
The company continues to state that the installation matches the drawings, however no one has been able to clearly identify where the critical vertical clearance above the bed is specified within those drawings. For a company so confident in its position, this is difficult to understand.
I remain willing to engage constructively and would still welcome a site visit so that a practical solution can be properly assessed.
However, based on my experience so far, I would advise others to ensure that key usability dimensions — particularly clearances — are explicitly confirmed and documented before proceeding.
Original Review ...
I recently had a fitted bedroom installed by this company and unfortunately the experience since installation has been very disappointing.
The room was surveyed three separate times before installation, and the bed that I use was present and measured during the survey process. I therefore relied on the company’s professional expertise to ensure the design would work properly once installed.
However, once the room was finally in use it became clear that the clearance between the top of the bed and the cupboards above is extremely limited. It is not possible to sit up comfortably in bed and I have already made contact with the units when getting out of bed. In practical terms, the bed area is not usable as intended.
I raised the issue promptly and asked the company to review the installation. The response so far has been that the furniture was installed in accordance with the approved drawings, with an offer to make minor adjustments such as trimming the pelmet and reducing the headboard lip.
Unfortunately this does not address the underlying issue of the overall clearance above the bed.
I have asked the company to identify within the drawings where the vertical clearance above the bed is specified and to attend to inspect the installation so that a proper solution can be agreed. At the time of writing I am still awaiting a clear response.
I am simply looking for a functional bedroom that can be used normally, which is the least I expected given the cost of the installation.
I hope the company will still engage constructively and resolve the matter.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience following your installation. We completely understand how important it is that your bedroom is not only beautifully finished, but also comfortable and practical to use day to day.
As you’ve mentioned, the room was surveyed on a number of occasions and the furniture has been installed in line with the agreed design. However, we do appreciate your concerns regarding the clearance above the bed and the impact this is having in use.
Following your recent contact, a member of our team has been in touch and the matter has now been escalated to our Senior Installation Manager for a more detailed review. This will include revisiting the design and installation to fully understand the situation and explore what options may be available to improve the usability of the space.
We’re grateful for your patience while we carry out this assessment, and we will continue to work with you directly to reach a considered and practical resolution.

I hadn't realised I'd submitted for someone to call so when she did this morning and I advised I'd already had someone come out this morning I no longer required a quote, she then made off comments as if I was lying. Extremely rude and unprofessional and just by this one call I wouldn't use or recommend.

We’re sorry to hear about this experience and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
It’s certainly not the impression we ever want to give when speaking with customers. If you had already arranged a design visit and no longer required a further quote, that should of course have been acknowledged politely and professionally.
We take feedback like this seriously as it helps us improve our service and ensure every interaction reflects the standards we aim to deliver. Your comments will be shared with the team so we can review what happened and make sure situations like this are handled better in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know.

A brilliant design visit with Bob
Bob came out to my home to help design fitted wardrobes for a very small dressing room space, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I was very apprehensive going into it however this was eliminated almost immediately.
He spent a huge amount of time making sure everything was absolutely spot on. Rather than rushing through measurements or pushing one particular design, Bob carefully talked through multiple layout options and really took the time to understand what I wanted from the space and what would work for me. Because the room is quite small, I was worried about how much we could realistically fit in as much storage as needed, but Bob came up with several clever solutions that made the most of every inch.
Bob made adjustments based on every bit of feedback or idea I mentioned, explaining how each option would work and what the benefits were. He made the whole process feel collaborative rather than sales driven.
Bob also explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, going through all the available choices from layouts and storage solutions to finishes that would work best for me and the same again with all finance options.
Bob was so patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in getting the best result for the customer. If you’re considering fitted wardrobes or a custom storage solution, I would absolutely recommend Bob. A fantastic visit from start to finish.

Bob was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Since this was our first home we had no idea what to expect but Bob was so organised from the measurement and 3D Render to showing the fixtures, fittings and materials the whole process was stress free. We were so happy we ordered on the spot!

All was great with the 1st appointment…
All was great with the 1st appointment and the surveyor and then we had our date for delivery and fitting. So I booked my carpet fitter for the 3rd day, delivery didn't arrive on the date agreed and when I phoned they said the date was a day later than we had agreed! So everything else went to pot my carpet fitter couldn't come so we had to wait on him when he next had a slot and we were sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The company didn't even apologise they made our like it was my fault. For this reason I wouldn't use them again even if they are cheaper!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're really sorry to hear about the confusion around your delivery date and the disruption it caused.
It’s good to hear that the initial design appointment and survey went well, but we completely understand how frustrating it must have been for the delivery timing to not match what you were expecting. That clearly had a knock-on effect on your plans, and we’re sorry that this situation left you feeling as though the issue wasn’t properly acknowledged.
Your feedback is very important to us, and we will certainly review what happened with the scheduling and communication around the delivery date to help prevent similar situations in the future.

B126522 Positive experience bedroom design
The company was recommended to us by a relative who were thrilled with their design experience and end product so, on their recommendation, we contacted My Fitted Bedroom. Bobby came over to design our wardrobes for us and straight away we were very impressed with Bobby and the number of design suggestions offered to us that other design companies had not taken in to account. Bobby was a great help in designing our room and when we reconsidered our design, he came back and took the time to amend the design with us. It has been a pleasure to work with My Fitted Bedroom and with Bobby. We are very much looking forward to installation and seeing the end product.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this — and please do pass on our thanks to your relative for the recommendation as well!
We’re absolutely delighted that your experience with Bobby lived up to the praise you’d already heard. He takes real pride in offering thoughtful, creative design suggestions and looking at a space from every angle, so it’s wonderful to know you felt he brought ideas to the table that others hadn’t considered.
It’s especially nice to hear that when you decided to revisit the design, Bobby was more than happy to come back and refine everything with you. That collaborative approach is exactly how we believe a bespoke design process should feel — considered, flexible and completely centred around you.
Thank you again for your kind words. We’re just as excited as you are for installation day and can’t wait for you to see the finished result brought to life.

First of all I appreciate you recommending us to your niece.
After speaking with our marketing manager, she tells me a member of her team called your niece at the time of the enquiry.
Susan called from an 0161 number but the call was not answered. We understand some people are reluctant to accept calls from unknown numbers, but we do not repeatedly call people as we do not want to pester them.
I am sorry that we were unsuccessful in making contact.
Great experience...
We have previously used My Fitted Bedroom for our daughters room and were very pleased with the results. When we decided to do our bedroom we invited them back to quote. Bob was amazing, not only did he deal with our 7 month old puppy but he spent a lot of time and effort making sure we were happy with the design whilst remaining within our budget.
