Very helpful staff, Phil and his colleague helped me to find everything I needed. Could not recommend the customer service more.

I was pleasantly surprised to find quality expertise in what one might otherwise just dismiss as an average seatown shop. I am in my 70s and have wide feet and often struggle to find walking shoes to fit. Phil measured my feet and explained how they can grow with age - I am now a size 7, when I thought I was a size 6, as I was in my 50s. I am delighted with my purchase, a pair of Merrells Speed Strike 2. Phil also showed me a way of lacing them so they don't press on a nerve at the top of the foot.

Visited today Phil and Lucy were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our purchase possible and very friendly and welcoming

I visited the Hastings branch and couldn’t believe the customer service I received. Phil was utterly fantastic and is a real credit to the company. I went in to browse walking boots (I am a Girlguiding leader) and he was so helpful. He did a boot fit - who knew this existed! He gave me great advice and even showed me how to tie my boots correctly. People like Phil are the reason why the High Street shops are so important - he had amazing knowledge and nothing was too much trouble.

I went in to buy a new pair of walking boots, Phil served us, in 20 minutes I learnt more about buying the correct boots, than I had in my previous 65 years. Phil was superb, extremely knowledgeable,a credit to Millets.

I needed a new pair of wide fit walking trainers. The member of staff named Phil was so incredibly helpful, giving advice on all the trainers I tried. He found the perfect pair for me, very happy with my purchase and the help given.

Phil helped me with finding a suitable shoe for a ski season today. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for anyone more helpful. He was so knowledgeable about the products and gave me helpful advice about how the shoes should fit and ways to tie the laces to relieve pressure points. He went out of his way to make sure I was picking the right pair for me

Ethan Lucy and the manager were all very helpful helping me choose some men's walking shoes size 12. I wanted a shoe that looked conventional for walking into town but which would enable me to do walking I gravel footpaths and which would compliment by Keen walking boots for more arduouse hikes

Amazing service from Phil today who was so knowledgable and patient. He kitted out the kids in walking boots and helped me make sense of a ‘kit list’ for my daughter’s trip to Thailand to work with rescued elephants.

I went to millets looking for a pair of waterproof boots ,I approached Phil to ask if he had the sizes I wanted to which he said " can we measure your feet first because there will be styles that won't be appropriate for you " I said yes of course " so from there I tried numerous types of shoe and boots ,because I had recently had a operation on my foot I was there quite a while and Phil helped me no end I have now found a pair of lovely boots that tick all the boxes,Thank you so much .I would definitely recommend going there for help and advice .Well done millets for employing lovely helpful staff .

Had a fault with a tent bought online and my son was due to travel the next day on holiday. Took it to Hastings Millets and has the best customer care I have ever encountered. After trying to see if they could replace the broken part, they then said they would replace the whole tent as they didn’t want a temporary fix. Luckily, they had the same tent in stock (not everything is on the shop floor so always ask). I was served by Sophie, Phil and Lucy - all excellent. Not sure if Phil is the name of their new(ish) manager but the manager is brilliant at his job. They were all so polite and eager to solve the problem.
Hope they get praised for their excellent customer service.

Phil made our shopping experience excellent. He is truly and expert on walking boots, making sure that we had the right walking boots for our holiday. He was very meticulous in ensuring the right fit. We would highly recommend if you are new to walking or need a new pair of boots.

Visited the Hastings store on 11th September. Was served by Sophie who was very helpful. Sophie went to the trouble of checking the stockroom despite the system showing the size I wanted wasn't in stock. It was and she also gave me helpful information about the items I was choosing between. No hard sell just attentive and helpful. This is typical of my experience in this store.

We really needed to find some very specific footwear and Harry was super helpful and went above and beyond in supporting and advising us. Really knowledgeable and cheerful staff. It was a fantastic experience shopping here and we bought two pairs of footwear that were perfect for our needs when other shops in the high street weren't very helpful at all.

I visited Hastings branch to purchase items for my son's Silver DofE. I was served by Harry, he was so helpful and knowledge of the items I needed, socks and food. He also offered advice when asked about snacks to take which was completely out of his remit but so useful. His advice made my son's completion of his expedition a memorable experience. Paul in the Hastings store went above and beyond to make sure the hiking backpack was fitted correctly for my son so he won’t hurt his back carrying all of his stuff
