have never been so rudely spoken to in the manner I had to endear and out of all things in front of my 5 year old and 9 year old. The very first time I have ever stepped foot into a Michael's buisness/store was tonite. My children and I were minding our own, just shopping, all of a sudden a man with black hair stepped in front of me and said its time to go, I look at him cause I knew the store wasn't closed yet, and he said I need to leave and not cause a scene.

I ask a sales clerk for some help…

I ask a sales clerk for some help finding something and she acted as if I was annoying her not answering my questions except tell me what aisle I can find something in. I’ve been looking in those aisles, but I needed some fine-tuning. There was nobody in the store so I don’t understand why she couldn’t . Her being pleasant would’ve gone a long way, even if she couldn’t help me, but she was anything but

SCAM! Items listed on website are never delivered

I placed an order of items that were all listed as in stock but for shipping only. A few days later, the entire order was cancelled because all 7 items were supposedly out of stock. I called and was told a convoluted story about the store that was supposed to send them to me was out of them (even though they were listed as shipping only, not from a store). I was told to order again with the agent on the phone, and the order would be successful. Today, three days later, I get yet another notification that the entire order was cancelled because everything was out of stock. These items are not only on the website, they are being advertised on the home page! So, 7 days after my initial order, they are still listed as in stock, and Michael's is urging people to buy them. What kind of scam is this??

I went to buy fabric from Michael’s and…

I went to buy fabric from Michael’s and I had two ladies there named Elena and Lee, which both told me that wait on me after waiting like 5 to 10 minutes I see nobody so I goes up to Elena and she helps me now at the time I didn’t know, Elena was the store manager. She was one supposed to help me from from the jump so now I wanna ask what’s the names like why I had to wait to be waiting on they were very unprofessional. They didn’t wanna give me her name. They told me that Elena was. The store was the manager when Jennifer is the store manager she wasn’t even there just basically what I’m saying is treat people like how you want to be treated it don’t matter with nothing. They customer service was terrible today so I reached them a zero and I’m a loyal customer and this store was located on Boston St., Baltimore, MD.

Awful Customer Service

Today I visited the Michael’s store in Mount Prospect for fabric. I asked a young woman where I could get 3 yds. cut for purchase. She said she could help me. Unfortunately she had no idea about how to cut fabric. I’ve been buying fabrics for decades from other stores and have never run into someone trying to measure whereby she kept pushing the fabric away from the start of the measuring yard stick. I was clearly going to be shorted by an inch or more per yard. I stopped her & asked her to please get the manager who then treated me rudely, was very abrupt and made sure I didn’t get a centimeter more than the 3 yards I requested! I will never visit this Michael’s store again. And I truly miss Joann fabrics!

If I could give Michael's 0 stars...

If I could give Michael's Arts and Crafts stores zero stars I absolutely would... I have never been so frustrated and so annoyed at trying to track down some spikes.

My daughter sought these spikes for an art project. We looked at several of the stores, pick the one that showed the most stock and off we went. To say that we were disappointed is an understatement.

My daughter spent close to 30 minutes looking for the spikes in the right aisle, only to be told that they were out of stock. I am not sure why Michaels cannot update their website and their stores with software that will let you know an accurate stock count of a specific item at the moment you look it up. Apparently, this is a very difficult task, because not one of the four stores we visited had the spikes.

So if Michael's wishes to continue being a less than average store, they can keep going the way they're going. Amazon will no doubt continue eating stores like Michaels for breakfast and delivering next day for people who have an Amazon Prime account. For the rest of us average people three to four day delivery should be just fine--and it is often less.

Best advice? Don't bother with Michaels.

I cannot say enough amazing things…

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience at Michaels, all thanks to Jane! She is hands down one of the hardest working employees I’ve ever encountered. From the moment I walked in, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to help bring my ideas to life.

Jane goes above and beyond in every way. She took the time to listen to what I was envisioning, offered creative suggestions, and made sure I had everything I needed (and more!) to make it happen. You can tell she truly cares about her customers and takes pride in her work.

Customer service like this is rare, and Jane absolutely sets the standard. If you visit this location, I highly recommend asking for her — she will make your entire experience 10x better!

Terrible customer service experience

Terrible customer service experience! I tried calling three different locations, but I couldn’t get anyone on the phone. After waiting for what seemed like forever, I gave up and called another store. They were just as bad, ignoring my calls. Thss experience has left me frustrated, and I definitely won’t be shopping here again. I will be taking my business elsewhere!

For Good Service shop Hobby Lobby

I called two Michaels stores. I gave them the benefit of perhaps being busy on the first calls. Neither ever answered. I then called Hobby Lobby and the phone was answered promptly and pleasantly. I was transfered to the department that could help me. The phone was picked up and the customer service was great. Michaels can kick rocks!

i can only tell bad things about Michaels.com

I have never registered with Michaels or made a purchase there, yet I'm bombarded with spam emails – about 50 per month. This is completely unacceptable and a blatant violation of privacy standards.

From my perspective, michaels.com is highly questionable with dubious morals and practices. The fact that you can't even properly unsubscribe from a newsletter destroys any trust. I wouldn't recommend doing business with this shady organisation.

Very expensive-yesterday I saw candles or something else with one label,today-is expensive than yesterday. I saw something else in the website in store and after one hour I was in the store and they don't have this.I know they lying. They put something expensive things. They change the price every day. It's so expensive.

Colonial Heights, VA

I went to the Colonial Heights, VA Michaels to pickup and purchase Valentine Supplies for my grandson’s elementary class. There was an older Caucasian female at the register before me that took a long time at the register. There was no problem, but I am disabled with unbearable pain. It had taken some time with this consumer. I went to the register next to purchase and had questions about my items. The older Caucasian Cashier was very arrogant and made me feel as if I were not worthy of her time. She was very short with me and rude. I do not want anyone to bend over backwards for me and my request or questions were simple. I deserve courtesy and respect just like anyone else. I hate prejudice and this is what I experienced with her. The next Caucasian Female at the register was treated with kindness. I never said anything rude to her, but this Cashier responded like I was as not worthy of her time. I was so incredibly upset, and I finally purchased my items and left the store. I am a Senior African American Female that gives respect and kindness also. This was so very upsetting, and I did not deserve this treatment. THIS IS JUST WRONG!!! Bad Coupon Practice

This store brand - like some other stores such as Kohl's, "give you a coupon" AS YOU ARE CHECKING OUT - these cannot be used until your "next visit' and expire within a week or two. This is a TERRIBLE practice - I no longer shop at Kohl's just because of this practice.

If you are really honest about offering coupons and attracting repeat customers - allow the coupon to be applied to the current purchase (in addition to other coupons that might be brought into the store)!!

I would shop there FIRST if that were the case, along with lots of others who find this practice not only annoying but disrespectful.

⭐ How We Joined Yoto

I was introduced to Yoto by two people who cared about me. My special‑needs teacher (a man) told me, “This will help my students. You should leave the other company and go to Yoto.” Later, one of my dad’s coworkers also recommended it for me, my brother, and my niece.

When I turned 38, I got my first Yoto Mini for my birthday. Later I received my Third Generation Yoto Player as an early Christmas gift, but it was part of the same celebration.

My brother Paul, who is 29, now uses Yoto too. My niece Lizzy, who is 5, also has her own Yoto Player. My dad — Lizzy’s grandfather and Paul’s father — bought ALL the Yoto Players for the kids in our family. We all used the Toon Box before, but we switched because Yoto was recommended for us.

All the grown‑ups — my mom, my dad, and my brother — love the players and love that their children use Yoto.

⭐ My Experience With the Third Generation Player

I’ve used Yoto since October 1, 2025. I switched to the Third Generation because I needed the night‑light and OK‑to‑Wake clock. I’m scared of the dark, so the blue night‑light and green wake color help me feel safe. I also travel with my player, and having the night‑light built in helps me stay calm away from home.

I use Make‑Your‑Own cards to stay connected to someone special to me in Tasmania, Africa (9 hours ahead). His messages help me when I have big feelings. I’ve made 14 cards, and I love the bedtime songs on YotoSpace.com.

My family also enjoys Yoto. We like the Adventure Jackets, and my brother and I listen to Jake on Yoto Daily.

😡 What Needs Improvement

Customer service is the biggest problem.
The Toon Box company cared more about helping us and keeping our players safe. Yoto does not feel the same. I contacted customer service and never heard back. It feels like our opinions don’t matter.

You also removed the USA phone number, so now we have to call London or wait a long time on chat. That is not fair to families who need help quickly.

The players also need improvements:

• They are not waterproof.
• There is no way to find a lost player, even though many people travel with theirs.
• Cards should have a chip showing who they belong to, so if someone else uses them, the player alerts the owner.

We love Yoto, but these issues make us feel unheard.

We will always be customers because Yoto helps our family in many ways. But if you want more kids, parents, and special‑needs adults to stay with your company, you must improve customer service and listen to the families who depend on your products.
