I by mistake added some other magazines…
I by mistake added some other magazines to my magzter lite subscription. So I mailed customer care to modify my subscription. Within a day my problem was solved. Thanks for faster resolution.

It is a scam
It is a scam. As they say if it looks or sounds too good it is a scam. Do you really think all of those magazines would give up all of their subscription revenue for a small portion of each fee that Magzter charges??? I fell for it once and luckily cancelled before credit card started being charged every month! Do yourself a favor and unsubscribe from their mailing list. If they even care about you unsubscribing.

Can’t buy single issues
I used to buy single issues of a couple of magazines a month but now the only option is to subscribe to Magzter Gold which I do not want.
I have now deleted the app and will buy paper copies from the shops.

Just avoid using auto-renew for subscriptions. I've never experienced the slightest problem with Magzter. The range of magazines available is awesome, and it has saved me literally hundreds of pounds in subscriptions to magazines. I note that most reviewers who have criticised it had problems with their bank auto-renewing the subscription. This is not a fault of Magzter but of their bank's system; you should get a warning before an auto-renew is paid, alteratively just cancel the direct debit. I never buy an auto renewable subscription anyway (specially by credit card, which are harder to cancel auto-renews), I just renew it manually every year, which I do - because Magzter is worth it.

I purchased magzter gold knowing full well that if I was dissatisfied with the product I would be covered by their 7-day no questions asked refund policy. WRONG, 2 days after purchasing I sent an email explaining I was not interested in continuing my subscription (which was 90 USD) and requested a refund, I received an email in which I'm pretty sure was a bot explaining for whatever reason that I was unable to receive a refund. I attempted to email them again but felt hopeless after all I met were more Robo emails that addressed nor explained anything.

For the second year running these people have taken money from my account. This time it was £38.81p for an online publication that can now only be bought in a shop.
Yet again I have to chase them up and then they return £36.58p due to the exchange rate.
How can you charge for a publication you are no longer contracted to sell.
Stop taking money out my account.

It seems that the payment did not go through and it did return to a/c . I’ve edited my review based on the same. However ten plus days to confirm that is really not an ideal practice if you ask me.

Magzter is the worst magazine subscription service. They are desperate to get your money. I recently tried a trial subscription that DID NOT come through clearly. Even though it said I was accepted. I clicked again thinking something just didnt work. I immediately got enrolled and then, of course it come through clearly. I contacted customer support through a chat room and then got an email saying sorry for my inconvenience but I. owed the 9.99 even though I explained what happened. SHAM!!! I immediately canceled subscription through Apple. I would then get notices through the month it was about to run out. But, the next month I got billed again!!!! I called Amex and they blocked them but I have been denied the dispute!!! NEVER subscribe to this horrible company with very few decent magazines. Please look at Readly or Apple+

They have been charging me a second…
They have been charging me a second year in a row after I cancelled a subscription. You can't trust anything their customer service tells you - once you gave them your card number, they will charge it whenever they please. See if you sue them from outside US.
Don't use their services under any circumstances.

I had a asnnual subscription of a magazine that ceassed their publication. Despite knowing beforehand of this fact, Magzter still charged me for the subscription. Moreover, the same day the charge was made I was unable to access the last number because my subscription hadn't been renewed!! After claiming this to Magtzer and requesting a full refund, they came up with different options: 1 month of Gold or a store credit. I told them I had no interest in other magazines and had to ask Paypal for help in getting the refund

Fantastic app.. large collection of excellent magazines included in the Gold subscriptions like National Geographic, How It Works, All About Space, All About History, all the BBC magazines, Match of the Day, major business magazines, Tinkle, Readers Digest, etc, plus most of the major newspapers in India and UK at least. Sure there's a lot of garbage too, but a simple way of finding out whether a magazine is included in Gold or not is to search for your favorite magazines first and look for the Gold icon before subscribing, thus saving yourself the pain of feeling ripped off later. Auto renewal is done for particular bank cards only. I got this warning while renewing, don't recall if i got it while subscribing, but luckily not for my Citi cc.
