I paid for an issue of Southland Times then the receipt encouraged me to download PressReader. I thought the issue could only be read there so I downloaded it. After signing in with my google account the front page showed me multiple newspapers. There’s only a button vaguely named “order” “buy” without displaying any price. I accidentally clicked into the issues then my card was charged multiple times. I went into the setting , not being able to find option to remove my payment method or check my payment history. What you’re doing is against consumer act. I want my refund. Tried to make a complaint on their website, keep telling me the amount is not right so I couldn’t submit it. It’s a shady practice and I’m going to post this experience on Trust Pilot Review and social media to let more people know

Their tech support reached me quickly after this review- the one more star is for your great work Roy. Cheers mate. However, if the cancellation option and clear pricing issues aren’t sorted, I’m afraid two stars is the highest rating I can give.

I’ve been a member of the library for years and enjoy that but had never really explored Press Reader. Now I’ve found it I’m a complete zealot. There are a couple of publications that I’d like to see ( The Times of London) but I can only assume that’s the publication not playing ball and not Press Reader.

Great collection of articles and sources. Ease of use and options to personalize the app

The app is provided free by my local library service. It works very well, I can't fault it really. Occasional glitch usually after they've released an upgrade but if you report the issue from the app they come back to you quickly with suggestions.

My local newspaper is not easy to find

I wasn’t aware of this service until my partner joined and mentioned it. Straight away we downloaded the app to enable me to access the service.

It’s not reliable. It is aloe, and it is buggy. It sometimes works. Happy Equinox.

Overall very useful but sometimes the comment numbers cover up vital bits of text and it cannot be read. Why not use auto-scaling on the comment number layer so it remains the same size when the text is zoomed? Then in most cases you would still be able to read the text underneath.

Very easy to watch the magazines from other countries/cities

PressReader is a great way to try out and experience reading a wide variety of the best newspapers and magazines, that are richly informing and packed with up to date analyses and insights on international issues culture and politics in the UK.

Excellent very easy to access

Pressreader is a good way to access journals and newspapers. My only criticism is that comments on the various articles within pages detract from the reading experience. It's always the same few people commenting and the attitudes are often harsh and lacking balance. I feel that those who wish to comment on specific editorials within the publication should write to it directly to vent their opinions.

Thanks to PressReader I can read foreign newspapers from home . Great layout . Lots of stuff . The Magazines are great too . But , would have enjoyed the Financial Times Weekend Edition and National Geographic in English
