Lily O'Brien's Chocolates started life as the brainchild of Mary Ann O'Brien who, having recovered from a debilitating illness in the early 1990s, discovered her true passion for all things chocolate. Embarking on a journey of discovery, Mary Ann honed her chocolate-making skills among world class chefs and chocolatiers in both South Africa and Europe before starting her own mini enterprise from her Kildare kitchen in 1992. With little more than two saucepans, a wooden spoon and her then toddler, Lily, acting as production manager Mary Ann began to create high quality chocolate recipes for friends and family. Not satisfied with the scale of her enterprise she soon expanded in the hope of positioning excellent Irish chocolate on the world map. Naming the company after her daughter Lily seemed like the most natural thing to do at the time and since then Lily O'Brien's chocolates has established itself as one of Ireland's best-loved chocolatiers. With Mary Ann still at the helm of the business, the passion that first inspired her chocolate honeycomb hedgehogs is still present in every aspect of the business and family values remain at the very core of Lily O'Brien's. Based in the heart of Co. Kildare, Mary Ann and her team continue to develop mouth-watering chocolate creations using the finest quality ingredients.

Lovely chocolates and great company

Wonderful chocolates

I have used your company many, many times when sending chocolates to my aunt in the Republic of Ireland, the chocolates are wonderful and it’s always an excellent service. GLS always keep me up to date with the delivery status.

Love at first bite

I first discovered Lily O'Brien's chocolates at Dublin Airport, and it was love at first bite! The orange chocolate discs completely won me over. They have the perfect balance of smooth, creamy chocolate and a refreshing natural orange flavor that isn't too sweet or artificial. They're incredibly moreish, and I honestly couldn't stop thinking about them after my trip.

Since returning to Germany, I've been ordering them regularly because I simply can't find anything quite like them here. The quality is consistently excellent, and every bite reminds me of my time in Ireland. If you love the combination of chocolate and orange, these are an absolute must-try. Highly recommended

I cannot rate Lily O'Brien's highly enough. I didn't read the delivery policy properly on wedding favours (entirely my fault). I needed 110 for a dinner, tried to place the order on the Sunday for the following Friday when I realised. I contacted them on the off chance. The absolutely fantastic Julia came back to me on the Monday & they were in my house on the Thursday. First rate customer service. They looked beautiful, absolutely finished our dinner settings & most importantly were delicious!! Thank you so much Julia & company!!

If I could give it a zero I would

If I could give it a zero I would. So so so disappointed this year with my favourite Easter egg/chocolate…..the egg was in the cardboard box no foil covering it and as a result it tasted of the cardboard box, absolutely disgusting. Bought 2 of them and both the very same, so sickened as they were a lot dearer than other eggs which i never mind paying if chocolate tastes as it should not of cardboard & there were only 6 chocolate’s like seriously!!!!!!
After years & years buying Lily o browns Easter eggs, I won’t be purchasing again😔

Excellent service

Excellent service. The delivery was very quick with excellent communication. The package came well protected and presented. Very happy with my purchase and will definitely purchase again in the future.
