Ivana - Front Desk - Rude
I went to the Board walk location and Ivana was at the front. She was so rude and embarrassed me. She asked if I was trying to make her job harder. My husband has been ill for many months and our doctor called in a request for us to pick up a jug for a 24 hour urine test. He couldn't pick it up with me because he was sick. She was mad because I didn't have his health card, but I gave her his information. She found the acquisition easily after checking the print outs. I was so upset when I left and I sat beside another lady while waiting and she Ivana treated her very badly too. People are coming there because they need medical help and should not be treated and embarrased.
Initial line up atrocious
The line just to get to the desk to check in was atrocious. The elderly and disabled left to stand in line for at least 45 minutes. They need to have a number system...you walk in, take a number and have a seat. They call your number when they're ready to register you. This way no one is left standing in a line out into the hallway.
No respect for patients
I visited the East Mall located in Etobicoke early this AM, having first checked the wait times for walk-ins (10 mins) and upon arriving the in-office leaderboard (~35 minutes). Well within my time budget. At the 50 minute mark having not made it on the leaderboard (others did), I asked for an update as we were nearing the end of my time availability. I was told they weren't bothering to update the leaderboard and my expected wait time was an hour. This was unbelievable to me. If the leaderboard was not accurate, they should have cited at check-in the anticipated wait time. Had they told me, I would have left and come back another day, and still been under the 10 minute "free" period for parking. Instead I wasted an hour of my valuable time, received no service, and paid a parking fee for nothing. I run a tight schedule and am in and out of the city continuously. Like any other patient, I need to rely on the information provided to make decisions. They have systems in place for this very reason. The fact this location is not using them and does not even have the courtesy to inform patients of the wait time at check-in is completely inexcusable and is completely disrespectful to their patients who have busy lives and finite amounts of time. Their processes are broken and standards lax. Unfortunately this is the second time in six months this type of thing has happened at a Lifelabs location, with the last similar issue occuring at the Islington location in Etobicoke. I will not revisit this location any time soon. Management has work to do to restore the trust of patients.
Lifelab directors should lay off…
Lifelab directors should lay off managers and supervisors, there is less staff , long wait que times even with appointment, less staff to take tests, is over stressed, has become impolite (centeniary hospital location 6 apr)

Went for a fasting blood test in 4190 Finch Avenue. I didn't have the appointment but just walked in but the service was pretty good . I had this experience once before too and I thought of giving a good reviewto that particular location.

Polson Place Location. I used life labs at this location and was a little concerned as the lineup was significant upon arrival. That said, I was really impressed with how fast that line was dealt with. A young lady (Felicia) was on the desk; she was very professional and efficient, and did it all with a welcoming smile. The service was fast, the technician was very good at blood draws and overall I would give them a great recommendation

I have been going to Lifelabs at Clarkson Crossing in Mississauga for years. This place is excellent. I book online, show up 10 minutes early, am seen precisely on time and in and out less than 10 minutes. The staff are efficient and kind. I have never had a problem at this location ever.

On behalf of friend that went to life labs for bloodwork, being symptomatic.
After waiting 3 days the results came on line. My friend called Dr office asking if report received, they said ‘NO! We are waiting’
The lab was called the said they did. CC the urgent results

Great staff..filthy work place.
The staff at Lifelabs on King St. in Welland are very competent and do their jobs with care and compassion. My major complaint however has to do with the filth and the upkeep of their sight. The amount of dust and dirt is unacceptable. The washroom is filthy and the entire area had a very unpleasant odor.
Poorly organized
I had an appt, but arrived with a huge waiting line. Tried to get into the office and a woman yelled there were too many people in the waiting room and just picked a part in the line and said everyone beyond this point needs to get out. When I finally was able to get in they were calling for appts after me. I said I had an earlier one and they said they called my name 3 times. I said I came in but was kicked out. Perhaps check to see who has an appt before just kicking a group of people out!

A new mother with an 11 DAY old baby…
A new mother with an 11 DAY old baby trying to carry baby seat and a not well baby was not placed first to get blood work. The Dr. sent the baby right over to the Life lab at 22 Richmond St, in Richmond Hill. I mention to the lab tech that because she doesn't have an appointment she will be last to be taken in and should be a priority. I realize they are busy and had only 2 Lab techs but ill newborns should be a priority. Lab tech said she could not put the 11 day old baby first?? They were cutting people in front of me for my timed visit. I don't understand how they can't realize that this newborn bay should be first.

What is the point of waiting 3 weeks for an appointment when the walk ins got in right away. My appointment was late. The rooms are very cold making heart exams very uncomfortable. Service.cold as well.

My wife had an appointment for a urine test which was all that was on the requisition. She was then called and sent to room where the technician draw three viles of blood that wasn’t stipulated on the requisition. Upon checking the results it says no information on the blood samples because the requisition was not complete.

While most LifeLabs locations are decent, it requires noting that the practices at the College/Yonge location are consistently unprofessional. Time and time again, arriving 30 minutes prior to closing, 4pm, patients are turned away. This is absolutely unacceptable. People specifically leave early from work, only to be faced with this nonsense. Talk with staff. Enough is enough. Inform them of their job or send them for on the job training to one of your other locations.
