Initially, I was disappointed with Leigh Day's support and performance as the paralegal appointed to my case struggled with the legal aspects and was trying to get me to accept a misdiagnosis of my injuries. It was only when I went over their head to their boss that the situation significantly improved and resulted in a different (and far better) paralegal being assigned to my case. The result was very satisfactory, but I believe that it would have taken 12 months less if I had not, initially, been assigned such a poor performing paralegal.

Our heartfelt thanks to Louisa who from the first day we met her has always shown kindness, support, and empathy at what is a difficult time. Regular updates kept us abreast of what was happening behind the scenes and her professionalism shone through. The service provided by her and her colleague has been exemplary.

I was, and still am looking for a solicitor to represent me in my case against the Environmental Agency. Up until Dec 2023 the EA, as a public body, were exempt from prosecution. But the situation changed when the Mr and Mrs Brookwood v Environmental Agency case set a new precedent, my claim against the EA falls into this category. My regular solicitor could not help me, simply because the company didn't have the experience to deal with the EA, I found this was the case in general with all the other solicitors I contacted, as well as the fact that there was a conflict of interest. Eventually I contacted a legal firm and spoke to a representative who listened to my case, but could not take it on because his company only dealt with commercial customers, however he recommended Leigh Day as the company to help me. To cut a long story short in spite of several phone calls and going through their complaints procedure on their website no one has had the decency to reply let alone help me

I don’t know why the reviews for these are so high. When you go to them with an issue, you expect them to be pro-active; build you a case and do all the chasing. Instead they pass things like enquiries on to you, almost like you have to convince them to take it. They should just take your info, chase everywhere for evidence and have your corner but they don’t. They are not pro active, and won’t fight for you if your case isn’t already an open and shut easy one. Poor experience. Led me on then spontaneously closed my case while I was waiting for a reply from an external agency they asked me to contact.

I first contacted Leigh Day in May 2023 after sustaining poly-trauma in a RTC, I was given their details from Day One Trauma Support charity whilst in hospital. They were extremely helpful and successful in my personal injury claim against the defendant.

The solicitor I worked with was absolutely excellent. He was very professional and offered great advice. He understood that I was very new to having to deal with legal processes. He explained the whole process and kept me informed with every step that was taken and was supportive with my decisions.
