London Camera Exchange - Strand Anmeldelser 

My local LCE is based in Derby where I went in for a Godox flash trigger, they explained they don’t stock them, but located one on their website, I took the details with me till I was ready to order. I ordered late Friday night from LCE in the Strand arrived the following Tuesday morning in very good condition and well packaged. I would not go anywhere else until I checked LCE out first.

Bought a pair of used Leica Ultravid binoculars off website. Tried them once the were delivered and couldn't get used to them, contacted the store (Andy Cook at Strand) who was very helpful and confirmed that I could just drop them off at my local store in Newcastle rather than having to send them back.
I dropped them in, they were sent back to the store and the refund was processed within a day. All very hassle-free and professional.

Proffesional advice and quick dispatch

I ordered a camera and memory card at the last minute for my daughter for Christmas. Firstly, it arrived in plenty of time. Secondly, I was really impressed by a handwritten note in the package letting me know that because the memory card I had ordered was out of stock, they had included a higher spec memory card with my order. Brilliant customer service!

Prompt response and very friendly

Unusually for this great company, I had a few problems this time around. I agreed a trade in and sent the item through DPD which arrived with LCE the Strand the following day, but in the meantime, the used body had been sold, but I agreed to buy a brand new one at a discount. My trade in was received on Thursday, but DPD don't collect later as with other branches, they collect at the same time as delivery, so the body wasn't arranged with DPD till the Friday and they didn't collect it for some reason, so my item wasn't collected till the Tuesday and I received it on the Wednesday, whereas I normally receive my deliveries the next day from other branches, but I did receive it well packaged and with a discounted spare battery, so a good experience as opposed to the usual excellent one.

So straightforward and it made an easy purchase. I was kept well-informed.

It would have been 5 stars as the person who eventually assisted me in the shop was friendly and helpful, and when I later ordered an item online, it was delivered extremely fast and efficiently. But only 4 stars because I was apparently invisible to the first person who was supposed to deal with me in the shop, who was too busy looking at a computer screen to even acknowledge my presence.

I had the best possible support from Robin, from the Strand branch of LCE. The tripod adaptor on a pair of heavy binoculars broke. The manufacturer of the binoculars did not repair it. To add insult to injury, the eyecups on the binoculars as well as an extra pair in the box sent to the manufacturer's repair centre mysteriously vanished - replaced by old worn out eyecups. Robin managed to get the tripod adapter repaired (it is now better than the original), by sending it elsewhere. Beyond the call of duty, Robin patiently communicated with the manufacturer's repair centre and managed to have them send back both sets of the original eye cups. The whole process took around two months due to the manufacturer's repair centre shenanigans. The binoculars were a bday present that I got in July, and I had been really upset at this behaviour by the manufacturer's repair centre. Thanks to Robin's patience and extra effort, the pleasure of using the binoculars is back. Since then, I have seen Jupiter's 4 moons, the Hyades, and the glorious Pleides etc. My point is that this was not just a transactional matter. It was about restoring joy in what I love to do - amateur stargazing. I thank Robin sincerely for taking the concerns I raised seriously - and followed them up. So happy that London Camera Exchange (Strand) employ such knowledgeable and supportive employees. A heartfelt appreciation for your work on this Robin - THANK YOU!

I have been a customer of LCE for over 15 years and they never fail to impress with their helpfulness and professionalism; probably one of the reasons they are still around in todays market. Not an easy feat.
