Established in Hereford as Melgray Photographic in 1979 and we joined the LCE group in 2015. We have an outstanding reputation and are well known for our sales of new & used photographic products. We also offer specialist services including passport pictures, video/cine film transfer to DVD and digital formats and instant print kiosks for memory cards and mobile phones users. We are a small friendly, professional and knowledgeable team of three - Manager Neil, Jack and Caine with offer many years of experience in this business between us.

Poor Customer Care coupled with…
Poor Customer Care coupled with significant issues with DPD their couriers. Will never purchases goods from a supplier that use this courier again.

Thank you for your review.
Due to the high value of some of our products, the 'leave safe' feature has been removed from all DPD consignments, this way the recipient must be at home to receive the goods when delivered. I have checked the delivery logs and it appears that the 1 hour time slot for delivery was correctly communicated in the morning of both delivery attempts. Our default courier is always DPD however, we are able to use Royal Mail for certain items if preferred.

This time, not 100%
I have bought from LCE on several occasions, but was slightly disappointed on this occasion. Purchased online, over the weekend, with 24 hours delivery. It arrived on the Wednesday. I sent a note on the Tuesday @15:18 (during working hours) and got a reply on the Wednesday, believe it was the Hereford Branch that fulfilled the order, to say it missed the local connection…what ever that is.

I always use LCE and woudn’t go anywhere else.
I always use LCE for buying or selling cameras and equipment and have never found the service anything other than exceptionally fast, efficient and effective. Everything is safely boxed and packed and the quality of the used equipment is outstanding. The latest lens I have bought does not even look used! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Exceptional service
Firstly the item was shown as in stock and actually was, I have tried to buy this product on other sites that showed as being in stock when it was not, secondly I was notified within hours of placing the order it had been despatched on a next day delivery included in the cost, thirdly arrived by dinner the next day, perfect service
