Upon return we were told that there was a damage on the mirror however my partner showed them a video of the vehicle prior on which it was seen that the damage was already present beforehand. Make sure to take photos/videos firsthand. Customer service is a nightmare, I have been dealing with Abigail (apparently there are two of them) and both are the same incompetent. I have asked for an email confirmation in regards to the refund and I have been promised by both that they will facilitate it, it's been nearly a week and both can't deliver what they ought to do.
Im saddened to be putting this review on here as the actual process of hiring the motorhome and holiday we had was really good but the stressed caused now has ruined the experience . We paid a 2500 deposit and was told it would be refunded within 10 working days of return. The 10 days has passed and no deposited . Contacted Justgo and they advised it wasnt them releases it but the card issuer . When i contacted card issuer they said due to amount of deposit being held i needed and email on headed paper stating they where happy for deposit to be returned . Since that i am being passed from person to person with a promise of an email . My last communication was that it might take up to 28days to process refund which was never mentioned at the time . I have had no response for 4 days now when all it takes is an email that i can pass on to my card company for immediate refund . I would advise not to use Just go if you have to pay a deposit as return within 10 days just isnt true
Is there a phone line problem? I’ve left two voicemails and when I have got through, it just keeps me on eternal hold before cutting the call. I’m trying to pay my balance as the payment link doesn’t work and am very concerned. Is this what I can expect if there is a problem on the road?

Horrible experience in Scotland with Just Go company (ONGOING)
Just go Motorhomes We have now also been informed that this company has been bought by Indie Campers , and we are urgently asking them to step in and help resolve this situation. We also want to make it very clear that we mean absolutely no disrespect to the Scottish people — everyone we have met here has been kind, helpful, and supportive during this difficult time.
On the 30th of March, just 4 days ago, we arrived in Scotland for our long-awaited family holiday. We are 4 families in total, and this trip has been planned for over a year.
We took a taxi from the airport to the “Just Go” motorhome company to collect our 4 motorhomes – one for each family. Everything seemed fine at first, and we set off on our journey to do the NC500. We stayed at our first campsite overnight, excited to begin our adventure.
The next morning, at around 11:30am, our motorhome broke down and would not start.
We called roadside assistance, and they arrived about an hour later. They managed to start the motorhome, cleared some error messages, and told us everything was fine. We trusted them and continued driving.
After just 45 minutes, the motorhome started failing again. It would barely drive, going only 30–60 km/h at maximum speed. This was extremely dangerous, especially when trying to pull out of roundabouts or side roads, as the vehicle had almost no power.
We managed to reach a campsite, only to discover that even reverse gear wasn’t working. We had to park in a way that didn’t require reversing – and then the motorhome completely died again and wouldn’t start at all.
We called “Just Go” again. They promised someone would come that same evening to fix the issue. We waited… and waited… and waited… calling repeatedly until 11pm. No one ever showed up.
The next morning, after calling yet again, a technician finally arrived with a tow truck — after 6 hours of waiting, leaving us stranded at the campsite until 3pm. He told us the motorhome was NOT reliable and was dangerous to drive, and it had to be towed away.
This left my family — 2 adults and 2 children — completely stranded.
We contacted “Just Go” again, and they told us that once the motorhome was collected, they would dispatch a replacement. Not wanting to waste more time, we joined the other families and travelled to the next destination, expecting the replacement motorhome to meet us there.
But it never arrived.
We have made countless phone calls since then. Every single time, we are told the same thing: “It has been escalated to management.” And yet, management never contacts us. No solutions, no updates, no help — nothing.
They have left us stranded with nowhere to sleep, and they have shown absolutely no care or responsibility.
Thankfully, on the first night, a kind campsite owner managed to find us a bungalow so at least my family had shelter. But the following night, there was nothing available. We were forced to sleep on the floors of our friends’ motorhomes like we are completely helpless.
We are now on day 4 out of 10, and we are still stranded with no proper accommodation, no replacement vehicle, and no support.
We have tried everything — calling the company over and over again, contacting the Maltese Embassy in the UK, the police, and UK consumer services — and still NO ONE is helping us.
We are exhausted, angry, and completely desperate. We paid a lot of money for this trip, and we are being treated like we don’t matter at all.
They have ruined our entire itinerary, our holiday, and our happiness. A trip we planned for a year was destroyed on the second day.
We still have 6 days left and we are basically homeless in a foreign country after paying so much money.
Can anyone please help us? We are truly at a loss.
The staff were fantastic, especially John who was incredibly helpful as it was our first time with a motorhome. Scotland didn’t disappoint and we’re already looking forward to returning next year!

We have been thinking about buying a motorhome and decided to hire one to test the experience.
We found Just Go and easily booked the van online for 24th to 29th January. This was the only part of the experience which went smoothly.
When we arrived at the Toddington depot to pick the van up we were given only the most cursory demonstration of the van ‘s capabilities, even though we explained that this was the first time we had used one. We were told that the van had not been cleaned outside but this did not concern us too much as it was a winter hire. However, when we started driving it was obvious that this meant the wing mirrors were absolutely filthy which seemed a hazardous state in which to put the van on the road. We immediately stopped and cleaned them.
Throughout the hire period we came across a litany of issues which should have been picked up and corrected before the van was released. This included:
• No door handle on the inside of the habitation door making closing it very difficult
• The heating did not work which was a problem in January
• The hot water did not work
• The internal insulation screens were the wrong size and broken making privacy and insulation difficult
• The grey water pipe for emptying waste was broken
• The screens around the windows were broken which also impacted privacy
• The frying pan which was provided was in an unusable state
• The overall cleanliness of the van was poor
While we were away, we made these complaints to the company and were told to complete a grievance form on our return which we did on the 30th January. At that point we were told there would be a response in 5 business days.
We have heard nothing since by way of explanation. I have contacted the Guest Experience team on email numerous times to be told that the department handling the complaint is Customer Care, I have asked to speak directly to them but been told that they do not accept direct contact and they will contact me. I have also asked to speak directly to the Managing Director so that my complaint could be escalated, but again this has not been possible.
We are now into March, and I have heard nothing.
We spent a significant amount of money on this hire, and I have 2 messages for anyone planning to hire from Just Go:
1. Ensure you check every part of the van before you leave and get a full explanation of all parts of the van
2. If you do have any complaints do not expect any response from their customer service team, their approach seems to be one of ignoring the issue in the hope it will go away.
Overall, this was a TERRIBLE experience.

Campervan was high spec and lovely to drive. All my issues are directly attributable to terrible service. Unfortunately we were given a camper van with no gas and no toilet chemicals (despite paying additional fee for both) and personal belongings of previous guest still in the camper van showing it hadn’t been cleaned and cleared properly. After numerous wasted phone calls trying to troubleshoot endless heating errors on control panel we realised the errors were due to an empty gas canister. We had ran out of gas on day 2 of our trip despite paying additional fee for a full 15kg tank which was simply not provided - completely unacceptable. As we were not given the gas we paid for it resulted in a camper van without heating, no hot water or cooking facilities and a camper which drained the fresh water tank to protect pipes from freezing in cold temperatures. This completely ruined the trip as the camper wasn’t fit for purpose - it was February in Ireland which is cold and wet. Several more phone calls to the company and it was clear no one would meet us to replace the empty gas.
Currently trying to work with complaints team to get a refund. Customer service on the phone are terribly apologetic but unable to put you in touch with manager to discuss grievances. Absolutely no standard of service has been provided from the Belfast branch. When returning the van no manager was available to discuss issues and I was assured I would be contacted by manager on Monday morning - no contact has been made and despite calling twice I have yet to speak to Belfast manager.
Complaints team take up to 10 working days to review and decide on refund so the frustrating and disappointing saga of what was meant to be a holiday continues.

This is the third time we have used just go after two very positive experiences, we felt this time something had changed. Motor home was dirty outside (not their fault as the washer had broken) but did leave us exposed to potential damage that can’t be seen. The motor home could have been cleaner inside also, was clean but not sparkling clean and upholstery being cream needed a deep clean. The shower leaked and the only plug came out of a socket. Small things such as leads not tidily put away in the storage area meant we spent significant time untangling before plugging in on our first night in the freezing cold. Would still use again but first two time were a much better experience.

I hired a campervan from Just Go for two weeks starting 12 November. While the experience began positively — with responsive pre-booking communication and a clear, friendly handover — things quickly went downhill once the trip started.
As a first-time campervan renter, I relied heavily on Just Go to provide a vehicle that was genuinely fit for purpose for a two-week winter trip. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
The van supplied was very basic and lacked several features commonly shown in Just Go’s marketing imagery (awning, oven, microwave, toaster). While the company later stated these are not included in the specific model I booked, this was not made clear at the time and was disappointing when collecting the vehicle — especially when better-equipped vans were visible on site.
The biggest issue was gas. The van was supplied with a single small 6kg LPG bottle, which ran out after just a few days. As heating and cooking both rely entirely on gas, this caused significant stress. I spent a full day trying to find an LPG refill station in an off-season location, and as a result I avoided using the heater properly and slept in a very cold van on multiple nights.
What concerns me most is the lack of support. On the day I ran out of gas, I phoned the support line and was told someone would call me back to arrange a solution. I followed up again several hours later and was reassured a call was coming. No one ever contacted me. Being left completely unsupported in winter raises serious concerns about how Just Go would respond to a more critical issue.
In their reply, Just Go explained that renters are expected to refill gas every 3–5 days in winter and that this applies even to larger vehicles. If this is the case, it should have been clearly explained at handover, particularly to a first-time renter. It wasn’t. The expectation that customers simply “figure this out” on the road is unreasonable.
The company response does acknowledge poor communication and incorrect advice from staff, which I appreciate. However, no compensation was offered for the lost time, discomfort, or lack of support experienced during the hire.
Overall, this felt like a missed opportunity for good customer care during what should have been a quiet time of year. With clearer guidance, better vehicle matching, and reliable support, this could have been a very different experience.
I would recommend Just Go only to experienced campervan users who already understand gas systems and winter travel — not to first-time renters looking for reassurance and support.
