I rang Junction 17 Peterborough about the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT they had for sale, lady on the phone was very polite and helpful, she asked if we wanted to buy the car would we want to take it home that day, I said yes as we are 4 hours away, reserved the car and booked in to look at it the next day. We arrived at the amazing showroom and received a warm welcome from our salesman James, James couldn’t be anymore friendly, helpful and professional if he tried, the car was absolutely stunning and immaculate and what a noise it makes! The car only had a couple month MOT left and I asked how we were going to work it so it comes with 12 month MOT if we were to take it away the same day, James said he should be able to get it in for an MOT or if we wanted we could take it away and get it done ourselves and they would reimburse the money which shows they are confident in the vehicles they sell, took the car for a test drive and James is very trusting and let us take it on our own, the car was amazing and we bought it. We have owned the car for 2 weeks now and it is faultless and sailed through its MOT from my trusted garage who said the car is immaculate. Thank you for everything Junction 17 and please pass on our special thank you to James, it wasn’t just buying a car from a garage, it was made a memorable experience from start to finish. We absolutely love our new car and if we can ever part with it in the future we will definitely be coming back!
They dropped a car despite being cancelled that has been serviced for 3 years, tapping engine noise, torn tyre and shredded alloys and very dirty inside..
I had spent time looking gor a specific car and found one at this shop, there were only 2 available on auto trader at the time and chose to go with the one junction 17 had. I put the deposit down to hold the car and made it very clear that I was travelling from over 400 miles away and would want to be driving the car home the day I came to see it, made all my travel arrangements, flights, hotels, trains ect. Called up 3 days before arriving to check and spoke to probably the 6th different person there who told me the car was "buggered" and wont be for sale. Good if them to let me know. I did call again to check what was going on and it seems they are happy to take a deposit and let you organise to come get a car but they cant guarantee that the car you are going to buy actually works or not. The other car I was looking at is now sold so im back to square 1 having taken out the finance to buy the car they had. Total waste of my time. I advise to avoid at all cost and find a car at a garage that knows that what they are selling and more importantly that it actually works.
⭐ 1/5 — An truly appalling experience from start to finish.
I genuinely cannot express how utterly disappointed we have been with Junction 17 Peterborough. What should have been two straightforward transactions turned into weeks of chasing, uncertainty, stress and completely unnecessary worry.
Our first experience was as a potential customer.
We paid a £100 deposit to secure a test drive and arrived at the PRE-ARRANGED, SCHEDULED TIME.
You would therefore reasonably expect the car to be ready.
It wasn’t.
We were told they needed to move several other vehicles simply to get to the car. When they eventually managed to get it out, it had NO FUEL — and apparently there wasn’t even spare fuel available on site.
A salesman then had to take the vehicle to a garage to put fuel in it while we continued to wait.
In total, we were kept waiting approximately 45 minutes before we could even take the car out.
Not once during this time were we offered an apology.
Not once were we offered a drink.
We actually ASKED for a simple glass of water — and even that wasn’t provided.
Unfortunately, what initially appeared to be extraordinarily poor customer service turned out to be just the beginning.
At the same time, Junction 17 were selling our own vehicle on our behalf.
The communication surrounding this has been, in our experience, utterly dreadful and completely unacceptable.
Interestingly, it was only when we finally became frustrated enough to ask for our car back that a buyer suddenly materialised.
The sale itself then proceeded relatively smoothly.
Getting OUR MONEY afterwards was an entirely different story.
Thirty days after our vehicle had been sold, we STILL had not received the money due to us.
Think about that for a moment.
Our vehicle had been sold. Someone else had possession of it. Yet a month later, we were still waiting to receive our money.
During those weeks, we repeatedly chased Junction 17 and were given different dates and times for when payment would supposedly be made.
Those deadlines came and went.
Dates changed.
Times changed.
The goalposts moved.
Promises of payment resulted in yet more waiting.
This wasn’t merely inconvenient. It caused genuine stress, sleepless nights and considerable worry.
We had made financial decisions on the perfectly reasonable expectation that the proceeds from the sale of our vehicle would be in our account within the timeframe we had been given. When that didn’t happen, it placed us under completely unnecessary additional financial pressure.
Nobody should have to spend weeks worrying about when they are going to receive money from the sale of their own vehicle.
Nobody should have to continually chase a professional dealership for payment.
And nobody should have to start considering legal action simply to get money that is due to them.
Yet, remarkably, it was only after legal action against Junction 17 was mentioned that the money was finally transferred.
After weeks of chasing and waiting, suddenly payment could be made.
Even now, there are STILL outstanding issues surrounding the transaction, so unfortunately our dealings with Junction 17 are not yet completely over.
The whole experience has left us completely lacking confidence in this company.
Poor preparation.
Poor customer service.
Poor communication.
Repeatedly changing payment expectations.
Thirty days waiting for money following the sale of our vehicle.
Stress.
Sleepless nights.
Financial pressure.
And ultimately having to mention legal action before we finally received our money.
This isn’t the level of service I would expect from any business, let alone a company dealing with vehicles and transactions worth tens of thousands of pounds.
There is a huge difference between a business occasionally making a mistake and a customer being left repeatedly chasing, worrying and wondering when they are actually going to receive their money.
Based entirely on our own experience, I would NEVER use Junction 17 Peterborough again and I absolutely WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone.
If you are considering buying or selling a vehicle through this company, our experience is one I sincerely hope you NEVER have to go through.
Appalling customer service – think twice before buying here.
This is my genuine experience as a customer of Junction 17 Cars. I spent £19,000 on a vehicle that experienced multiple problems shortly after purchase.
On Saturday, I dealt with a senior manager/COO regarding my concerns. I was told there was “no way” I could reject the vehicle because I had agreed to a repair. I was also told that he had a Master’s degree in law and “knew better”. I was told that cars are “designed to break” and that, because I had bought an older car, I should expect repairs.
As I was leaving, I was called “crazy” and told people to “ignore her”. My mother was present and heard the comment.
This is a senior executive of the company. If this is how senior management treats customers, it raises serious questions about Junction 17 Cars’ values.
I have evidence supporting my experience, including correspondence and documentation relating to the vehicle and the issues I raised.
This review is not intended to provide anyone’s private personal information. It is an honest account of my experience as a paying customer and the treatment I received.
I have already had this review removed, despite amending it to comply with Trustpilot’s personal-information requirements. I am asking that my genuine customer experience is not repeatedly removed simply because it is critical of the company.
Cars can break. Disrespecting customers is a choice.
Very happy with the service. Very professional and helpful and was there to answer all my questions. Cant praise Leo and his colleagues enough. Love my new car. Kind regards ryan

Extremely poor experience with the Peterborough branch, bough an Audi Q8 on Friday 4th Sept 2026 the mileage was out but 3k miles paid £36,000 for the car, asked for a fresh MOT the car shouldn't even have passed its MOT as I need 3 new tyres and front brake pads, they did however change 1 tyre so it looked like that actually done something, extremely pushy for the sale I hadn't even test drove the car and they had the paperwork out for me to sign and pushing their bank details in my face to transfer the money, would definitely not recommend this garage there is no after care once the car is bought, now after spending £36k on a car I have to spend another £2k for tyres and breaks and a service as the service light has came on after driving 100 miles, disgusting people skills. Just out to take your money once it's taken your screwed. AVOID at all costs

Bought a used Tesla Model 3 Performance from the Rugby branch in February 2026. Three faults since: a boot strut failure, an HVAC/radiator fault, and a high-voltage battery fault that’s left the car undriveable.
The battery is now being replaced under Tesla’s warranty at no cost, which sounds like good news, except Tesla have no loan cars available and the repair could take two months on top of the weeks already lost. All told, that’s close to five months without a car I rely on for work, for faults the dealership accepts fall within the statutory six-month window.
Despite this, Junction 17 Cars has refused to take the vehicle back, arguing that because Tesla is fixing the battery for free, nothing has technically “failed.” That misses the point: under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a repair also has to happen within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, and five months without a car is neither, regardless of who’s paying.
The pattern throughout has been the same: shifting justifications, demands for documentation that doesn’t exist, and a refusal to engage with the actual legal basis raised. I’ve now instructed a solicitor and am proceeding through the courts.
I’ll update this again once resolved, but based on everything so far, this remains an easy dealership to avoid.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! People here are rude and horrible. My mother bought a Mercedes Benz that costed £19,000 and a few weeks later the car had a broken tire and there was a problem with the engine lights. We sent many emails to them and they wouldn’t reply. Eventually, they said they would fix the tyre and give us longer warranty. We came back and the staff were being absolutely awful to my mother who bought the car . She said to them if it’s not going to be fixed properly we are returning the car immediately. The staff member started insulting her saying your buying a used car of course it’s going to be not the best and he was saying that she doesn’t know anything about cars. That behaviour was unacceptable but it got even worse. My mother went to go tell the other customers that this place is horrible . The staff member started saying to the customers that she’s crazy and has mental issues. WHAT KIND OF PLACE DOES THAT?! My mother was left distraught. And it gets EVEN WORSE. When my mother was driving in the car it came up with another signal saying tire pressure. So what they did was replace the tire with a OLD TIRE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING PLACE!

Fantastic range of cars. However from my personal experience I’d recommend you stay clear. I purchased a bmw x5m50d by a pushy salesman while part exchanging my previous vehicle with outstanding finance, soon as I left the dealership I was greeted with faults on the dashboard, tyre pressure sensors x4 & emergency call system failure. I get the car home and park it up. The next morning I have no instrument cluster/dashboard. I phone the dealership the next working day and advise me to go to 3 different garages for diagnostic. I did and was told it was unsafe to drive, it need a new cluster and its main dealer only. I’ve returned the car back to junction 17 with five days. They kept the car for 8 weeks with no contact from them until I get and email saying it’s fixed and ready to collect was told it just needed a new battery that they had just fitted. I collect the car and the very next morning the same issue persists. Again with phone calls and emails they tell me I need to take my car from Manchester to a garage in London and leave it there for a number of days to be not replaced but try to fix. I’ve obviously refused. I’ve had to pay for a diagnostic at my local bmw dealership myself that confirmed the cluster fault and many other faults with the car, some battery and components it the roof for the emergency call system, all brake pads are dangerously low, tyre pressure sensors are knackered, that’s just to name a few. I again spoke with junction 17 who told me numerous times most of the repairs are ware and tear (not covered under warranty) and they only cover repairs not done at main dealer & upto £1000 maximum. A1 approved warranty again an absolute waste of time & from what I can gather are a part of the junction 17 cars group. The outstanding finance on my part exchange wasn’t paid off until they sold that on to another customer, they failed to inform me that there wasn’t a V5 logbook for the new car. In all the paperwork it stated the car comes with two keys where in fact it came with one. It was only after I paid my deposit arranged finance and signed all the paperwork that some of this was made clear to me. They even charged me £99 for a vehicle preparation fee for like it being washed and made ready for the road. But when I got there to first look at the car it’s was at the back of the showroom covered in dust and spiderwebs

What a complete waste of time. Going back about a month we seen a Porsche cayenne for sale so being an hour and half away we requested to put £99 reserve fee on the car. Once that was done we arranged to go and see the car the day before we was going to see it we had a phone call to say sorry but there’s a fault light come on and it was going into the garage so we could no longer go and see it. Fair enough we don’t want to buy a car that already has issues. This is where it started getting really frustrating. After waiting a whole week with no update on the car we had put £99 down we rang to ask for an update. No update! So we agreed with them that they will ring us when they have contacted the garage to find out. No phone call so we left it another week. Rang again, no update so this car has been in “garage” for 2 weeks with no update on what the fault was so after explaining our frustration and that if we didn’t hear from them with an update we would withdraw our £99 they AGAIN agreed to find out and ring us back. We got an email saying it was a coolant seal and that the work was being carried out. Perfect finally an answer so we said When it’s done can you let us know. 2 weeks pasted no contact from them so we rang again and they said they were expecting the car back end of the week this was the Wednesday so we thought great we could go and see it weekend with a view of buying it. Friday come no contact so rang Monday which was bank holiday and they said the car wasn’t back and they would find out so we then gets an email yesterday saying there has been a fault with the gear box and there now not selling the car. So after over a month of backwards and forwards on our part we won’t be having the car. The whole thing just screamed something was wrong no communication from them no understanding of our frustration. The customer service was shocking.

Review: Complete Nightmare – Unsafe Car, Appalling sales and Aftersales, Danger to Drive.
Do not buy from Junction 17 unless you want to spend thousands on an unsafe vehicle and deal with a dismissive aftercare team. I’ve had this car for just 10 days, and it has been absolute chaos from day one.
The day after collecting the vehicle, I discovered a massive, dangerous crack in the Nearside Rear (NSR) tyre. I immediately emailed photographs to their aftercare department showing the severe damage, alongside a report where the NSR tyre was flagged. Instead of taking basic responsibility for handing over a road-hazard on wheels, they completely brushed off the visible structural damage, hiding behind the fact that it was "just an advisory" on paper. When I pressed them on whether they even comprehended the safety risk in the photo, they insulted me with a pathetic offer of £36 to replace a 19-inch tyre—a fraction of what a safe, proper replacement costs.
As if driving around on a split tyre wasn't dangerous enough, the check engine light flashed on while I was still trying to get them to sort out the rubber.
handing over a car with serious safety defects and immediate mechanical failure within 10 days is disgraceful. Junction 17 showed zero duty of care, terrible customer service, and total disregard for driver safety. Save your money, your sanity, and your safety—stay far away.

My son purchased a Focus RS from the Grantham site. General sales process was fine, however two weeks after collecting the car we noticed an oil leak. Took vehicle to a local garage who listed 21 faults with the car!
Brake hoses split, Head gasket oil leak, front cover oil leak, Lower boost pipe split and held on with cable tie, Oil rag stuck to the under tray to hide leaks! to name a few items.
Contacted customer service and advised to contact A1 warranty as their PDI didn't show any of these faults. A1 warranty confirm nothing covered under warranty!
Dealer has no interest in you when you have purchased a vehicle.
Standard of the vehicle prep is very poor, including safety items.
I would advise checking over any vehicle very carefully as they don't.

If your company policy is to not allow test drives unless people are willing to buy on the day, then say that up front.
Wasn't mentioned in my email exchange, nor onsite until after the sales staff had been through their hard sell of warranty, tyre protection, finance (at a ridiculous APR) etc.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Junction 17 Cars Peterborough
Avoid this company at all costs.
I recently purchased a car from Junction 17 Cars in Peterborough and, unfortunately, my experience has been absolutely appalling.
Just two days after collecting the car, I took it to BMW for a health check. The inspection identified three tyres with bulging inner sidewalls, meaning they were unsafe and needed replacing. BMW also identified a knocking noise from the rear nearside, which turned out to be a faulty rear shock absorber and top mount.
I had no choice but to have the work carried out to make the vehicle safe and roadworthy, at a cost of approximately £1,500 for the tyres, shock absorber and top mount.
I reported all of this to Junction 17, expecting them to take responsibility and help resolve the situation. Instead, I was passed from pillar to post, with seemingly nobody willing to take responsibility. Despite repeatedly chasing them, I am now into my fourth week with no satisfactory resolution.
Then, to add insult to injury, Junction 17 also failed to settle the finance on my previous vehicle within the agreed timeframe. The finance was eventually settled five weeks later.
As a result, I received correspondence from my previous finance company stating that I owed approximately two monthly payments. I subsequently discovered that the missed payments had been reported on my credit file.
Once again, I contacted Junction 17, only to be passed from pillar to post yet again.
I am now six weeks into this situation with zero satisfactory resolution to either the vehicle issues or the finance problem.
The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating. Buying a car should not involve immediately spending £1,500 on safety-related repairs, repeatedly chasing a dealer for assistance, and then having to deal with the consequences of finance not being settled as agreed.
If you value after-sales service, customer care and hassle-free motoring, I would strongly advise you to think very carefully before buying from Junction 17 Cars Peterborough.
Based on my experience, I certainly would not buy from them again
1 star is 1 star too many for this outfit
