Went to visit the showroom approx 10 days ago. Wondered round the inside and outside and all staff bar one who was with a customer were sitting on their iPad / at their desk. I am not disputing they may have been busy / following up on orders etc.
There was no financial details that I could see on the cars outside so I couldn't work out if any were in my price range.
After failing to catch any attention from any of the sales people during the 25 mins or so that we had been looking, we went to leave.
The receptionist asked if I needed help and she did offer to get a salesman to assist but I chose to leave my details including my budget / trade in details. Someone would look through stock and get back to me was how it was left.
Never heard from them again.
It could well be that they don't have car in my budget. Granted it was never going to be a brand new one but I would have expected a call just to say they didn't have anything suitable. Sorry but not impressed.

Not all dealers are the same. I've had a Golf and 3 Polo's so I'm happy with VW models. I like the Match style. It's good value. I've liked the T Roc for a while so time to have a good look.
The local dealer where I got my Polo TSI had the car I wanted but 5 months wait. They offered a reasonable PE on the Polo. Deposit paid off we went.
I've used Car sites before so why not again. Sold the Polo for £2.4 K more .Gone within 4 days money in Bank. Polo cost us £3 K for 3.5 yrs of motoring. Back on search sites. They found exactly same car with Aberdeen VW available. They phoned right away. The car was on a ship on its way. Car in UK four days later. Picked up within the week. Discounts from Car site and VW made the final cost much less.
Proves that if a dealer has Sales people who have clout and are first rate thanks Kosta, a basic customer can get service and value.

We cannot thank Noufal enough for the exceptional service he provided in the purchase of our new car. From start to finish the experience was faultless and he did everything he could to make sure everything went smoothly, even coming in on his weekend off to allow us to do our handover at a time that suited us as well as picking us up from the airport so we didn’t have to get a taxi.

Very thorough, but also quick and painless process through identification of potential car, to trade-in/finance options. Improved lead time and fast modifications (towbar) was welcome. Handover/after-sales contact and general communication was excellent. Gordon Farmer was the main contact and I would not hesitate to deal with him again - trustworthy, honest and helpful.

After 2 years looking we found our F-Type with the help of Gordon Farmer can't thank him enough for seeing us through the process, from describing the car over phone, sending video footage all the way to handing over effortlessly easy.

My issue is with VWFS finance.

Early 2023 I had an accident, on contacting my insurance they inform me my CH car is not road taxed. I panic as you would and I get the car same day road taxed however to do so I had to request a V6 be paid for and then the road tax of approx £92.

Since then I have been trying to get someone in VWFS to take responsibility for why my car was not road taxed and how to get a refund.

To add salt to the wound I am now getting letters requesting £25 for payments due!!!!!! I am due it.

No responses, no customer service no satisfaction or effort to resolve a basic issue.
