Great quality poster light
Delivery to Australia took a while, but I’m very happy with the poster light fitting now that it has arrived and been installed. It’s a lovely design and great quality.

Parts missing
The pendant lamp was delivered with fundamental pieces missing. Some bolts and trim that hold the light together were never even assembled before shipment.

Good product but made for Europeen market
I was looking for a combination sconce and reading light with a LED. This product responded to what I needed. I would have prefered two separate swiches instead of 1 that cycles the lights. I also had to modify the support bracket.
Happily the LED power supply is 100/ 240/1 which makes it usable in the US

The product is nice and arrived in good condition. The communication, however of when it was shipped, tracking number, estimated delivery could be improved. For the first week or so I was nervous due to not receiving shipping updates.

Do NOT do business with this company
I ordered two pairs of lights. Order arrived minus one of a pair. It was delivered later but was broken. I wanted to return the lights as they didn’t suit. Was told that I had ordered from a clearance sale which I would never have done, but items are still for sale on their website. Curiously, another reviewer was told that she had also bought in a clearance sale which she disputes. They agreed to take back the single, unbroken light fitting, to which I added extra packaging for safety. I offered to deliver it to the business in Newry to be on the safe side. This offer was refused. So I sent it by the same courier service used by ideas4lighting. Surprise, surprise, I got an email stating that the package had arrived broken and I would not be reimbursed. So both of the pair had been broken in transit. I have a lot of trouble believing this.
The company was to collect the broken item which is still in my hall 4-5 weeks later. It is going in the bin tomorrow.
The customer service from this company is dismal to non existent. You can only communicate by email, they refuse to accept returns for spurious reasons. You cannot even deliver in person! The company has cost me hundreds of pounds. NEVER NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Got products eventually
Got products eventually. Appalling customer service that's email only, take a long time to respond and seem entirely uninterested in actually helping. Got no order verification email. Had to ask for an invoice. I would advise not to shop with them, I won't be again. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I actually did receive the items I ordered.
I have worked all my life in hospitality, which is customer service lead. It might be prudent to look at your systems and listen to your customers (a lot of which have similar complaints) rather than making excuses and employing emotional blackmail to appeal to them to change their reviews.
In other words ask yourselves what you could have done better rather than try and excuse the experience a customer has had.

I do apologise that you feel this way, allow me to go over your order.
- Going over the correspondences you had with our colleagues I can see that all email bar 1 were responded to within a day, one email took a while to respond to but that was due to staff being off on annual leave.
- We have a confirmation on our ticket desk of the order confirmation being sent to the email address on your order which also showed all items and quantities in said email, there is a possibility that this email went into your spam folder however so it can be missed.
- Our colleagues seemed to be very helpful in trying to resolve the issue given the fact that 1 of the items was delaying your order which is stated to have a lead time of 4-8 weeks and we had no issue splitting this order and sending these as 2 separate packages at our own costs.
I do again apologise that you feel this way but we are a small family owned and ran business and we always try to do our best to help our customers in any way possible hence why we are trying to have as accurate lead times as possible and in this case the items were sent out well before the estimated dates. We rely very heavily on our online presence and reviews such as this can be very damaging to our reputation. It would be very meaningful to us if you were to reconsider this review and if you have any further queries do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Buyer Beware
it took months to actually receive the item after multiple follow ups on when it would be shipped. then, when i went to get the item installed, the electrician said he refused to do it because it was not UL certified (which is required in the US). i also noticed that the light fixture had started getting discolored (greenish) and was tarnishing and leaving a ring where it had been sitting while waiting to be installed. the customer service team refused to do anything about any of this and tried blaming it on me, saying it must be stored in a damp environment (which it wasnt). terrible experience!
response to their note below- they did not ask for a picture of the discoloration which i am still happy to provide. it was not discolored when i received it but would definitely not expect it to tarnish within a year of having it. they clearly had no interest in fixing the issue so are trying to put the blame back on me

We are confused what issue we are refusing to fix? We are unfortunately not able to check how the item has been stored for the last 7 months. If no issues are reported within 10 days of you receiving it, that means that the item is received in good condition with no issues. Damp can occur in any place which is what has happened here most likely, if the item is wired up / used that means that the electricity running through it would heat the fixture up meaning that issues such as "discolouration" which likely happened from damp would not happen but again given the fact that the item has been sitting somewhere for 7 months that is completely out of our control.

I do apologise that you feel this way but allow me to address some of the concerns you have raised above.
- We do apologise that the item was delayed getting shipped to you however it is expressly stated that this is a made to order brand meaning that some delays may occur during the production cycle but we do fully apologise for this.
- The brand you purchased can get the UL certification for the lights they produce no problem however the request to get this needs to be requested before purchase.
- The Voltage cannot be wrong, these are manufactured in Ireland and like the majority of countries they use 240v/230v systems however these fully work on 110v/120v systems with the only thing that needs to be done is getting the appropriate bulbs for the US.
- The fixture was delivered approximately 7 months ago and when the discolouration issue was brought up to our customer service team no images were provided to show any of this. Given the fact that the item was delivered roughly 7 months ago with not a single contact during the time about any issues the storage conditions cannot be verified.
I again do apologise that you feel this way however we have done everything we can in this situation and it is unfair to blame us for something like this given the fact that the item has been with yourself for over half a year.
