We have nine shops across the UK, and customers can also buy online from our website. We pride ourselves on our wide knowledge and excellent customer service. All your queries will be handled by a human being, and our 40 sales staff are all experienced musicians, with an unrivalled combined expertise on all kinds of musical instruments and styles. We stock the most widely varied range of instruments and accessories available on the high street, from guitars and amps to folk and traditional instruments from all over the world. We stock new and secondhand musical instruments. If you have a used musical instrument to sell, contact us to find out how we can help - we often buy used instruments for cash, or we can sell it on your behalf. You can find our UK music shops in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Canterbury, Bristol, Southampton and Brighton.

Missing part - found

I purchased my first guitar (2nd hand from FB) at 53. It was missing a battery holder for the built in tuner. I reached out to Hobgoblin Music to help find a replacement. Not only did they find a replacement for me, they kept me up to date with great communication and quality posted to me once they got one. They went above and beyond. I’m very grateful for their service and help. Thanks ☺️

Very good, prompt and courteous service

I phoned Hobgoblin prior to purchasing the harp strings and got through straight away to a very helpful and courteous person. Although I only had to replace one broken string, I bought a complete set and the replacement string fitted perfectly. The strings arrived promptly and are really good value for money.

Great website

Great website. Quick checkout. Received as quick as Royal Mail moves these days. Ordered from hobgoblin in the past with similar results. Will deffo go back.

Online ordering experience from overseas

I had some questions about the accordion and it's case which were answered quickly. I was also provided with additional photos and information regarding the accordion before I bought it. It was ordered online from the London shop on a Monday and it arrived in Norway the same week on the Friday afternoon. The accordion had been very securely packaged so there was no chance of any damage to the accordion during transport. Before purchase I spoke to two people at the firm and I was very satisfied with the information that they gave me. I am also more than satisfied with the accordion.

One of the best, reliable music suppliers.

I have used Hobgoblin for over 30 years when I needed various things (ie strings, gig bags, instruments) and I always found them reliable, friendly and prompt with delivery and all at reasonable costs. The quality of goods sold is always of very good standard.
What more could you want?
