I am lucky that my employer offers this…
I am lucky that my employer offers this as part of my package. I find claiming easy and straight forward. On the odd occasion when I have emailed with a query it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. It is refreshing to find a company that seems to be organised and gives good customer service.

No problems at all as long as you have the correct receipts showing "paid", "qualifications", and the treatment.
Been okay for me with only a couple of forms needing resubmission.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HEALTH INSURANCE FOR ANYONE
Terrible customer service. They never answer our questions properly. Always requesting additional information when we send questions via our own email that they have in their account. It does not adequately cover doctors outside the UK, so now that my company changed the plan, and following their reply I'll have to change my doctor who looked after me and avoid going to the doctor whilst traveling as the travel policy is not flexible , while other plans are. I would NOT choose this plan for myself and neither for my company.
Updating this with more: The insurance does not accept doctors who are only registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). The doctor must be registered as a specialist, which is extremely confusing.Customer service failed to explain this requirement properly, and as a result, I lost a significant amount of money.
Update re company reply: The Customer Service did not provided a full information on the terms and conditions for accepted qualifications. Also note, their customer service never provide a proper answer/information.

I am sorry there was an issue with your claim. In order for a claim to be paid your treatment must fit with the accepted qualifications that need to be provided when claiming. To help with future claims, there is a list of accepted qualifications (in this link) https://www.healthshield.co.uk/customers/accepted-accreditations-and-qualifications/ and we ask that members check this before booking a treatment.
When joining the membership we send your membership plan and terms & conditions which outline the amounts that can be claimed for each benefit and what can be claimed for each benefit, these are also sent on each renewal term. Submitting a Claim
Submitting claims on line is easy. I receive notification that my claim has been received and one when it has been approved. It is back in my bank in 3 days. Fantastic service.
