Both the booking experience and the work carried out were excellent. I recommend this company and I intend to continue using them myself.

I had a problem with a broken plug and socket that needed immediate attention. The admin team was excellent at quickly finding me an eletrician who came in to do the job the same day, at a fair price for the turnaround and service. Very nice and friendly team as well, highly recommend.

An excellent, first-rate experience with James (electrician) and Radek & Russell (both handy men) who helped with some modifications to our newbuild flat. We had new tv connection panels installed and moved from their original location; power supply safely pulled through into the bathrooms for lighted mirrors and bedside lights powered and mounted, with all walls/ceilings made new. The communication with Lucie from beginning-to-end was excellent, James, Radek and Russell were very pleasant, prompt, worked efficiently to a high quality and cleaned/tidied up after themselves. And all for a very reasonable price.

Radek came to fix some wooden flooring, following a leak. The task was complicated as the flooring impacted was in the middle of the floor. He did an absolutely fabulous job, installing the replacement planks. You can't see there was an issue - and everything was done and cleared up in the time originally quoted.

Excellent experience with both Richard and Russell on multiple visits and will be booking all future jobs in with handy squad. The operations team is also super helpful, responsive and accommodating. Very much recommend for any odd jobs that inevitably spring up when moving into a new home.

James replaced an extractor fan and repaired a dimmer switch. He did a great job and I’m very happy with the work. The booking process was efficient and I’ll use HandySquad again.

I have used Handy Squad in the past and they always do a good job. Jonathan came before Christmas and was hardworking and efficient and was able to turn his hand to everything. He did a particularly good job with the electrics.

This was my fourth time hiring The Handy Squad and my biggest request so far, painting my flat. Radek did a truly excellent job and I am delighted with the results. He has a great work ethic and takes real pride in his work. Thank you!

I have now used the services of The Handy Squad 3 times (electrician and handyman) and about to book the 4th time for a decorator. I have been amazed by the overall service - my query was answered immediately, my queries discussed with me so that a time could be recommended. Each time someone was sent out almost immediately and the work was done to time and to a really high standard and what I believe was a very reasonable price. I was only every charged for the time that was actually taken to carry out the work even when more time had been allocated. Have recommended to friends and family and will definitely be my go to company when I am next in need of any of the services they provide.

Just had superb service from The Handy Squad - swiftly arranged appointment, turned up promptly, various jobs which they assessed on site and fixed quickly and with good quality workmanship. It’s great that companies like this can adapt so well to operating compliant with Covid regulations - as my Handy Squad operator did immediately upon arrival. Would definitely use again.

It was pretty expensive for a very minor job that only took a moment ultimately, but took so much longer because they had not checked about the tools. I was made to pay in advance but the job was almost not completed because they didn't have a long enough extension lead - in trying to pull mine further they disconnected my internet and cut both me and my housemate off the work calls we were currently on. The guy arrived late in the first place, and he also did not distance or wear a mask even when entering my house. The only positive was how quickly they were able to make the appointment. I would not use them again.

Needed 2 bird boxes and 2 bat boxes (similar to bird boxes) mounted on outside of house, which is a relatively small job. The Handy Squad quoted £78, but when I went to book it, it was £90, so I cancelled as that was a bit much for a relatively small job, and I ought to do it myself. Nevertheless Jono turned up, very nice and friendly and had all the tools. He put up the bat boxes in 15 minutes. Then went round the back, and he put up the bird boxes, which took less than 15 minutes. I phoned up to pay later that day, and and spoke to Lucy who said it had taken an hour and a half, and I had to pay £139. I said it had not taken 1.5 hours, and I said to go and ask Jono. They said they could check how long his motorbike had been at our house, and I said that was good. I phoned up next day, expecting it to be sorted, and it was still the same. Phoned up the next day, and it was down to £114. I still said this is too much, and started writing to Consumer Protection, and let The Handy Squad know that I was writing to them. I said I was happy to pay £78 but no more, as that was all I had agreed to. I sent a second warning that I was contacting Consumer Protection. They dropped to £78, and I paid. They did not explain how they had made a mistake of thinking it was 1.5 hours. Horrible experience, unfortunately. I am very envious that everyone else has had a good experience with them, particularly as I liked Jono!

Richard has helped us twice with various jobs and we’ll definitely get him back. He finds out what you want, and gets on with it. A very good experience. Thanks.

Brilliant service by Handy Squad. Had an unusual wallpaper project which Handy Squad organised Radek to meet, advise and complete the job. Radek was so thorough, he is an asset to Handy Squad.

The issue seemed impossible to us! We’d removed two built-in structures to lay a new floor and lost c. 15mm in height. A friend of mine had already recommended The Handy Squad. I spoke to Amy on the phone initially. She asked me to send some images by email and explain what the issue was; pretty well immediately Amy was in touch to say she’d shared the job with The Handy Squad team.
Jono arrived first thing as arranged a few days later. He was extremely pleasant, very reassuring, and immediately switched on to the issue in hand. Equipped with every tool known to humankind, he found a solution to our problem on the spot. The work was carried out extremely efficiently to a great standard and we are delighted. I’ll definitely be calling on the Handy Squad again and I’d highly recommend their services.

Handysquad was very professional throughout the process. Amy was very quick in responding emails and telephones. Jonathan was absolutely brilliant sorting out signposts to blinds in my clinic. I would highly recommend this team for all your handy work at home and work place.
