Was in your shop in invercargill on the 10thof September with my dad ,he wonted to walk back out the door and not by anything ,very disappointed with the staff , not very friendly like customer service should be, no smile or how's has your day been , did help him with the right size pants , but a smile and a friendly person could help a lot .

Item never came, Aus Post attempted delivery and rather than taking it to a nearby post office they took it to Queensland to Hallenstein depot/warehouse (I'm in Melbourne), Hallenstein now refusing to send it to me and I need to wait 10-15 business days for a refund IF they receive the parcel back in NZ.
At the moment, I am waiting for Hallensteins to verify having the parcel back before receiving a refund, and I am stuck in the middle with no control over any of it.
Would not recommend Hallensteins at all, they have not been helpful through this process at all

Long term customer who has had many successful orders, occasionally items get refunded and not sent.
On this occasion I ordered a suit and pants matching set in green. Pretty particular colour. Both in stock at time of ordering.
The pants were refunded at 2pm. I replied within a minute saying refund the suit jacket as well , as they were designed to be together.

I received a reply saying they cannot refund the jacket, as it has been dispatched already. And as the item is a sale item I cannot return it or receive a refund.

I've essentially been hoodwinked. Never again Hallensteins.

I ordered the wrong size of shorts for my husband, so returned them and they soon sent the correct size at no charge. Brilliant service, thanks.

Good but.
Something has changed recently.
I’ve ordered in the past and received a tracking number quickly and I could see it moving from New Zealand to Australia.
Those products had arrived within two business days from New Zealand.
Ordered Tuesday last week, 14/7, only received a notification of shipping the following Monday.
I started to think I had been scammed.
Do better Hallensteins.

My experience concerning employee service was quite top tier. Maybe I'm sensitive but I was checked out by this sweet employee on shift but noticed the music was quite unfit for the younger audience, my children voiced their concerns and I would have appreciated if appropriate genres would be considered revolving around the younger audience.

Inconsistent sizes and bad return policy

Hi I have bought few pants and they were good and then started buying AB pants and they claim that it’s the same factory made all clothes but the sizes are different and when returned them they did not even pay back my shipping cost not satisfied

I brought my husband a pair of Absent Baggy Cargo shorts, which have worn out by the pockets and now have a ripped hole in them not due to my husband ripping them against something.

Poorly manufactured, clothing I bought had dye stains on them that couldn't be washed off. Customer service were horrible and refused a refund. Don't waste your money.

Less than zero customer service

Super fast delivery and it's been like that everytime I order from Hallensteins. Thank you

I bought two pairs of these cargo shorts one in green and one in tan, both ordered in the exact same size. When I tried them on, the tan pair was over 2cm bigger around the waist compared to the green pair.

Customer service told me this kind of size variance is “within their normal size range,” which is honestly unbelievable. I’ve never experienced such a discrepancy in sizing between two pairs of the same garment.

To make things worse, if I want to exchange the oversized pair for the correct size, I’ve been told I have to pay for the return shipping and the shipping for a new order. Completely unreasonable.

It’s a real shame, because the shorts were well priced and, aside from the sizing issue, the quality was actually good. But due to the inconsistency and the poor customer service, I won’t be purchasing from this brand again.

Hallensteins - Te Rapa - Bailey L served me and needs to be commended for his service as the other 2 Assistants were not interested at all- Excellent approach and service from beginning to end and he was even able to upsell - They did not have the size pants required on site so ended up having to go to Central Hamilton which was not a problem and Anahera excellent service also. These 2 staff are a credit to your Company -

What you order and what you get there is difference, I ordered two relaxed with dark colors but they send me really bad light colors.😔

Seemingly pointless customer service. Contacted immediately after making order for a size change. But received a reply the next day saying they couldn't help as the order had "already been processed".

I went into Hallenstiens lambton quay
For my first time, I approached the most kindest and helpful staff member by the name of Te Koha, he went over and beyond to get all the items I needed and made my first experience so easy and was such a pleasure to meet and be attended to by this lovely gentleman, when I return next time I'll definitely be going straight to him again.

Ordered 4x hoodies online (22nd Dec) expected there to be a delay because of Xmas peak, received it the next day!
