GO Outdoors - Southampton Anmeldelser 

Have been trying to buy two chairs for months, they're not in stock so ordered them both for full price with the expectation to return them and then buy them again at members price as go outdoors doesn't amend orders or even pick up the phone. So far I've Managed to collect one of the chairs at full price, the second one was discounted after complaining, I went to pick up the second chair and sort the first but it turns out they had returned the chair due to it not being in stock again yet the manager did tell me they had the chair in stock but I'd have to buy that separately and then phone klarna and ask if they can cancel the payment to go outdoors... Something I've never had to do on a companies behalf before, I mean refusing to give me the second chair then telling me to phone klarna to cancel it literally made me feel as if i was going to have a stress induced epileptic seizure so needed to leave the store promptly after that, I would love to talk to someone to deal with this but the only way to get hold of them is when you complain on a third party website..

After several visits to Southampton Go Outdoors, we have been very impressed with Paul F’s knowledge, advice and customer service. We would highly recommend.

I had a main air tube burst in my tent. Tent still in warranty but apparently the most important part of an inflatable tent i.e. the air tubes were not covered. I called customer services and they were no help at all. Couldn’t even provide a part number so i could buy a replacement. Following this i decided id see if I could get some help in store. Luckily I met Paul who understood the problem and made it his mission to get me a replacement tube. Within two days he had sourced a tube for me. Paul was extremely knowledgeable about everything camping and was clearly passionate about his job and imho went well over and above to help me. I have never known such amazing customer service. This guy deserves so much more than a good review from me.

My order is still not ready for collection a week and a half after ordering despite it saying items in stock when purchasing. Website suggests 7 days maximum.

Initially the online experience was poor, however, this was purely down to the delivery. There was some confusion between Evri and Customer Care which resulted in a cancellation and reorder that was actually unnecessary. The Roof Box was delivered eventually and is excellent. Fitted our car perfectly and was a good price. Overall I am very pleased with our purchase, but delivery could have been better.

Staff always available and would find the answer or solution by directing you to the right member of staff.

From some knowledge of walking boots I needed walking shoes. Directed to Paul F who was a mine of relevant information. Listened to where I was going, what I was looking for and directed me through the various ranges / attributes / qualities of a number of shoes.
Came up with a just-the-job pair plus sox to try at home

Ordered online and delivered promptly to store. Collected with no trouble from a lovely helpful man. Only downside was navigating the roads to the destination.

Excellent value and very good delivery

So this will be no surprise but another rave review for Paul F. It’s people like him that elevate the retail experience. As a newbie camper he took a lot of his time to explain things to me, measure things for my camper and offer advice and experience. Fantastic! Thank you.

Paul F - helped us today. He was great, went off to look in the storage area for two chairs that we really wanted. One of them was at the bottom of a pallet.

Helped by Paul F who went over and beyond in taking us through the options - what we should look for, why each bit mattered, and what he’d personally recommend. Without his help we’d have been ‘well…it looks nice’.

There was an obvious enthusiasm in just wanting to help us get the right thing and that’s rare in this day and age. I didn’t feel it was all about the money whatsoever.

Paul was great, very knowledgeable and we left with exactly what we needed!

And he makes a great bookmark!

The product (air tent) was rubbish and I had to cut my holiday very short due to a fault, but the customer service from Go Outdoors was excellent with a no quibble refund or replacement (I took the refund).

I shop at Go Outdoors as they have great products, you can always find something you need. I had great help from Paul today about hiking kit advice and then Shannon to give specific advice on jackets. Shannon was so knowledgable and patient as I must have tried each jacket on many times to get the right one for my trip. It’s so nice to get such amazing service! Thank you.

I had made an order for collection which should have been ready by the 11th for collection. I attended on the 14th to collect the items and 2 items had not been delivered to the store. I then looked round the store to find the items i needed that hadn't been delivered. The exact same item i had order was on the shelf which i then had to pay twice for while I wait for a refund on the original item. The other item i ordered wasn't in stock but i managed to buy something similar and will seek a refund on this item aswell. This is quite poor conduct. I wasn't kept updated in anyway.

We received amazing service from a member of staff in the southampton store Paul F he was brilliant and went above and beyond to help with choosing an air bed/sim mat. I would certainly recommend.
