Customer service was great, no issues knew what they were talking about when asked questions

I don't usually leave reviews but my son and I were served by James and credit where credit is due the fella was outstanding. We went in for a pair of boots, he listened to the criteria we had and directed us to what we needed, which should be standard service. It was all the extra things the advice the tips the knowledge that came with it that was great. Not pushy not I know it all not you need the most expensive, just a fella that new his business. We walked out with my son fully kitted for the Duke of Edinburgh award. Cheers James.

Salesperson James was excellent. He was knowledgeable about the walking boots I was buying, even though it wasn't his normal sales area. He was patient and gave good advice about boot care. We discussed my plantar fasciitis and he was able to advise on in-sole support which I also purchased.

I ventured into Go Outdoors on an afternoon, seeking a waterproof coat so mighty it could withstand a biblical downpour. The racks were stacked like a wardrobe for superheroes, but my size was missing. Just as I was about to give up, Isabelle appeared on the shop floor like a retail guardian angel. With encyclopaedic knowledge of zips, seams and waterproof ratings, she guided me to the perfect coat faster than you can say “HOPEGILL.”

Alas, my size wasn’t in stock. No problem — Isabelle sent me to the till where Molly, customer-service legend, took over. She ordered my size with the speed and precision of a Formula 1 pit crew. Membership price? Check. Delivery explained? Double check. Jokes cracked at the till? Triple check.

Between Isabelle’s floor-walking heroics and Molly’s till-side wizardry, I left feeling like I’d just been through a VIP shopping experience. The coat is on its way, my heart is full, and rain clouds everywhere should be afraid.

Five stars for Go Outdoors. Ten stars for Molly and Isabelle — true champions of the waterproof-questing masses.

Staff were very helpful and friendly! I was helped by Andi who was very knowledgeable about the type of coat i was looking for and helped me find the right one

At last, we got somewhere, a salesperson in stockton, useless, 2 people at customer service after a total of 2 hours on the phone, useless, a non event delivery, tracking codes never received, useless, until i went into the pick up store metro centre and a nice lady called Izzy sotted it all out. Amazing to deal with somebody who knows what they are doing. Please value this review as i do not leave reviews, this lady was worth a mention.

Shopping for walking trainers. Coby served me and he was great, very patient, knowledgeable and helpful, he recommended boots rather than trainers and I ended up buying a pair. Great service, thank you.

Daniel was very helpful in finding an alternative pair of walking sandals for me as the pair I had originally bought were not going to be suitable. He was knowledgeable and patient as I tried to make my mind up. I feel the store was well laid out and stocked and the staff very helpful.

Great service by the staff . Last time the gentleman help me to choose different shoes and with recommendation. Yesterday I was served by Libby . She is eager to help and have been very patient. I am very satisfied with the service. They deserve a 5 star. Thank you

Libby was such a great help in choosing new walking boots. She was knowledgeable and able to direct me to boots that were most suitable to me and my specific needs. She was patient and helpful. The store is lovely, spacious and clean. A great shopping experience all round.

A very well organised shop and selection of items. Made exceptional by the staff - especially Izzy and Libby. The manager should be proud to have have such amazing staff.

James at the Metrocentre was excellent in that his knowledge of the Merrill shoe products and their design was superb allowing me to purchase the correct shoes for my needs. Go Outdoors is such a nice place to shop and the staff are always very helpful. Fully recommended for leisurewear too. Five stars from me

Excellent service from James when buying walking shoes. He spent time to ensure everything was just right and fitted the shoes expertly.

Nice open spaces for shopping. Staff were attentive but not pushy, particularly Dan on the checkout who organised for us to leave our shopping, to be picked up as we were leaving. A nice touch!

A novelty these days to find somewhere that gives great customer service. Thanks James we weren’t sure what to buy that best met our needs. You steered us in the right direction and ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes.

Only use going out doors for my fishing equipment they have a good selection,but could do with good brand names and good quality fishing hooks,rigs and fishing line as some of the stuff is not up to standard,your live bait is good quality and its available most of the time such as maggots and worms ext.
